This location used to be Beefcake Burgers. Mis Amigos opened about six months ago. They become the fourth Mexican restaurant in Martinsville. The dining room has been renovated with high back booths along the far wall. They have added a lot of decorations as well as some big TV screens. The back dining room looks open now instead of it being a private party room. Where the ice cream bar was has been changed into an adult beverage bar. Also there is a lot of counter space with stools for dining too. The menu is fairly large in a spiral bound book with several pages. The first server brought chips and salsa then asked if I wanted their cheese sauce too. I said yes and thought the cheese was good. The salsa was thick and mild the way I like it. Service was so super fast, I didn't really get a chance to read it before my second server was ready to take my order. I knew what I wanted, just didn't have time to find it in the menu. He helped me figure it out and we started with a la cart items then he saw that a combo worked best for me. I ordered two Cheese Enchiladas and one Beef Taco, with rice and beans. Everything was good. The rice was exceptionally superb because it was light and fluffy. The beans were good all the way to the last scoop on the chips. I cleaned my plate! The beef taco disappeared too ;-) Good thing the grandkids were not with me. They learned growing up in Tucson with us that they love Mexican candy and this place has a candy bar. I wished I had saved room for dessert. They have a Sopapilla with Honey, my favorite, and I saw a thing called a Banana Chimi I would love to try. Parking is not an issue here as there is a huge shared parking lot for many other businesses.

The food is always great and the staff are so friendly. I eat here often as I can get in and out during my lunch hour.

The room bursts with…read morecolor--bright tiles, warm lights, and the quiet hum of conversation--while the air carries the mouth-watering perfume of grilled carne asada, roasted chiles, fresh cilantro, and warm tortillas. Before you even sit down, Martinsville, you know something delicious is 'bout to go down. Then the chips arrive and salsa with such a dynamic taste one bite wakes up the whole palate; it's almost impossible to stop reaching for "just one more." When the main dishes land on the table, it's like a parade of color and aroma. Plates spill over with bold and beautiful balance. And the guacamole--oh, the guacamole. Avocado whipped with bright lime, fresh cilantro, and just enough salt to make the flavors sing. It tastes alive. What truly elevates the whole experience is the spirit of the place. The staff move through the room with warmth and genuine joy, as if they're hosting a gathering of friends rather than simply serving customers. By the end of the meal you're happily full, slightly amazed, and already plotting your return. At "the horseshoe" it's not just dinner...it's more!

Woppo's is one of the latest food truck additions to downtown Indy's Statehouse Market…read more Statehouse Market is a weekly farmer's market that occurs at the Indiana Government Center on Thursdays from 10:30am - 1:30pm from late Spring through early October. Woppo's specializes in street tacos, though they do have several other items on their menu. I arrived fairly late in the event today. Things weren't quite winding down, however, it's the time of day when things are a bit slower and some trucks start running a bit short on items. Woppo's was offering: Street tacos (served on corn or flour tortillas with onion, cilantro, and line with a choice of meats). Prices were in the $4-5 range. Tacos Al Carbon (Flour Tortilla loaded with choice of meat and covered in white queso). Prices were in the $6 range. They also had some nacho dishes and quesadilla options loaded with cheese and choice of meat. I think they may have had a taco bowl, as well. They also offered sides of refried beans, rice, fried jalapeno, and tortilla chips. They also had some add-ons and some beverages available (Coke products and a Mexican drink called Jarrito (if I remember correctly). Their online menu indicates they also have churros, stuffed churros, and cupcakes when available. I ordered chicken quesadillas - I think it was 2 that made for a good-sized meal. The price was $10 plus tax. The employees were friendly - my sense is that this was family operated and they were all quite delightful. They were starting to run out of ingredients - I saw them change things up for a couple people, however, I also saw them refund folks if the price for what they actually got was lower. I will admit I was initially leaning toward a 4-star rating because the actual process was just a lot slower than I'd hoped. It wasn't super slow, but for someone on a lunch break it definitely was time-consuming. However, I'm upping it to a 5-star for a couple reasons. First, the employees were awesome and the young man working the cash register was just super. Secondly, I have to be honest. This quesadilla was phenomenal. The ingredients were mixed perfectly and the way it was grilled was just outstanding. It may very well be the best quesadilla I've had (I'm admittedly not an expert). It was cooked perfectly in every spot. Just a delight. So, it's hard to get things absolutely right on a food truck. But, this was good food with good service and a fair price. I may wish it had been a bit faster, but it couldn't possibly have been better. Five stars all the way.

Our waitress, Christy (may or may not be spelling that right), was wonderful and brought water and 2 small bowls out for my dogs immediately. Chips and salsa were served, and were solid (and not stale, thank heavens!!). I couldn't narrow down my choices sufficiently, so I asked Christy what her favorite menu item was. She recommended the Quesadilla a la Diabla, so I went with that. She was not wrong! It was flavorful (not even remotely spicy, though, which I'd have expected from the name), and very filling! My friend had the Pollo Hawaiian and loved it, as well! We both also got banana daiquiris, and they were refreshing! I didn't get pictures because we pretty much inhaled everything that wasn't nailed down! I'll definitely be back to try other options, and I'll recommend to my passengers (I'm a local tour guide in town).
