My soup looked really good but was super salty.-so much so that I only ate about a quarter of it. During this time our server came back-and-forth to check on us. Make sure everything was OK and refilled the boys drinks numerous times. The real problem comes when you consider the ambiance. The building was very old. The floors were very scuffed and did not look that clean the entire ceiling was those old-fashioned tiles and were stained with water and what might've been mold. The interior could've used a paint job. It was very bland looking. Overall, it didn't look the cleanest either. It's really rare that I have come across a place that was as dilapidated as this. Just be aware of this should you go. I'm hoping for their sake since they've expanded their hours to be open seven days a week that they're able to renovate the property.

The portions were great, and everything we ordered came out hot and delicious. The service was just as impressive. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, especially considering how busy a first opening day can be. The new location has such a great atmosphere, and we truly enjoyed the entire experience. I'd never had a Mexican chicken fried steak before -- it's basically a chicken fried steak, but it comes with an order of queso on the side. Something different and unique, and very, very good. Highly recommend it. The sides I had were the okra, tater tots and a roll, all above average. Bottom line, everything we had here was very good. Would highly recommend, and would come again.

You have a good selection of meat choices. The sausage is either chorizo or country sausage. I ordered a chorizo & cheese taco on corn and a beef fajita gordita. The chorizo was okay, not enough spices to enhance the meat flavor. The cheese was minimal, it was mozzarella cheese. The tortilla was white corn, very bland & didn't taste homemade. Whenever I have homemade corn tortillas at an authentic Mexican restaurant, it's yellow corn & they taste so good, you can eat them solo. The taco did have a huge helping of chorizo & it's larger in size than authentic ones. The beef Gordita was also big and stuffed with fajita meat. It had lettuce, sour cream, & cheese. The tortilla like bun was made of the same ingredients as the corn tortilla & lacked flavor. Although it did hold everything well without falling apart. My friends ate other tacos on flour and the flour looked homemade. The salsas were a creamy green sauce and a red creamy sauce. The green one tasted okay but I didn't care for it. It's not spicy. I didn't taste the red one. My friend did & she liked it but I know she can't handle anything spicy so it wasn't spicy. I just used my tía lupita hot sauce (they have travel packets).
