We order Popusas thinking it was really Popusas ... but they wore just like a thick corn tortilla. They charge 7 dollars for one with almost no stuffing we order chicharon and they had no chicharrón it was like little ground beef with salsa and very dry and nooo cheese whatever. The attitude of the cook when I said that they had no chicharrón and said that if I didn't like them or the price not to pay for them but in a rude manner. Stopped by here on the way to the airport. Guys, the salsas at this place are THE BEST. Really makes this place stand above and beyond others. Numerous options and each one tasty and spicy in its own way. Also the chips were fresh and phenomenal. We tried the quesabirria, the potato and carnitas taco, and the chilaquiles. Yelped "Mexican breakfast" and lo and behold 2 minutes away was Casa Jalisco! Had great reviews so exit off the freeway I went. Pretty early so no one was there yet, superior friendly team member greeted me and confirmed that they had Machaca. Oh my goodness it was perfect. For those that do not know what this amazing plate is, it is shredded beef with eggs and potatoes (papas) with a side of arroz y frijoles! With 4 tortilla of your choice, I chose flour. I like to add diced onions and lemon, which they didn't have lemons so limes will have to do. And of course some chile! I literally devoured everything, plate was super clean after I was done. I believe it was the owner who was our server, constantly checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed and that everything was to our liking. the food was flavorful, I had the pozole and the meat was so tender, and the hand made tortillas were delicious. Came here cause we had some time to kill before meeting someone and I was super famished. Hubby told me they're really good Mexican food here and of course I pulled it up on yelp and they had amazing ratings. Came in was greeted by a friendly gentleman who took our order. I ordered a asada fries and hubby order chicken enchiladas double rice with a Crispy taco. With our order they also gave us house-made fresh tortilla chips and salsa which was really delicious. Food came out at a really fast decent time and he always came back to check up on us to see if we were ok and if we needed anything else. So if you're ever in West sac or if you're coming from Davis heading to Sacramento it is the first exit off the causeway which is Enterprise Boulevard. Definitely stop by check them out it's a mom and pop shop. There were so many good choices to choose from. I saw the pupusa's I wanna go back and try them indefinitely. There are several Mexican food places just in West Sac and wanted to try a new one. We had been here when it was something else as this building has changed hands quite a few times. I was hopeful with the Yelp reviews. Like a taqueria, you order at the counter. I ordered the Birria Tacos combo with a pork tamale ala carte. My total came to $17 which seemed pricey. The chips and salsa bar are behind the counter and the man working asked if we wanted chips. I said sure. He asked if I wanted them inside my to-go plate or on the side. I said side. He proceeded to grab a handful of chips bare handed into a paper baggie and put it my bag. I was apalled. Who does that in any food service anymore??? No tongs. No gloves. I was a bit turned off by that. My friend later says she didn't get any in hers and I told her you wouldn't want them anyway. We bring them back to work and it was awful. The beans were visibly dry and so was the rice like they were days old. They should be ashamed to call these a Birria taco. No crisp. No cheese. It was soggy and greasy. At least the Consume had some flavor. It was a Jimboys taco at best. Then the tamale was so dry that it was hard on the ends with way too much meal and hardly any meat. I know it was bad because I just could not finish it and threw half of it away. I will not be back. read more

Eduardo who is in charge of the catering is exceptional! We had him cater our wedding and everyone was raving about how delicious the food was. The salsas can be spicy so fair warning. We ordered the tacos de carnitas, asada, Birria, chorizo, chicken verde, impossible meat, and Al pastor. I also ordered the torta Ahogada and the sauce is different from the normal sauce. We loved the tacos de carnitas, chicken verde, and chorizo. I love the horchata here too. Everyone here is super sweet and welcoming! I can't wait to hire them for more of our events! read more
