Adriana was a wonderful server - friendly and attentive! Thanks Adriana! Other servers worked in tandem - asking if I needed anything, etc. Great service ladies. I had enchiladas- 1 chicken, 1 carnitas, rice and beans. The portion size was more than ample. The salsa is the best! The food was fresh and the temperature was good. The flavor was a little lacking today - bland - but otherwise a good dining experience.

Excellent food as always! Today I got 2 enchiladas (chicken, cheese) with the roja sauce (red mild sauce) refried beans & rice. So yummy! Tried the flan today and it was ok. This is my go-to place for great food & service!

Great place for a date night or for the whole family. Their food and drinks are the best in town and their service is fast and friendly. Still one of our favorite restaurants downtown. Now with an added bonus: they're directly across the street from Woof Gang, a top-notch dog grooming boutique. So we drop off the pup at Woof Gang, walk across the street and enjoy dinner, and voila, our pup is ready. Perfect timing!

It was a busy Sunday but excellent service. My group of 3 and I were seated right away and it is such a cool place. We received our margaritas right away and we all got something different and they all tasted amazing. The chips and salsa were so good we ate it all up. Our server was hard working but he had good vibes as well. We will definitely be back here soon enough. This is the type of place that makes me crave their food because it is that yummy!!!!

This place never disappoints. The service, the food and the cocktails are all fantastic!! We had the passion fruit watermelon margarita pitcher which had a good amount of tequila with freshly squeezed watermelon which was sooo refreshing! Their salsa was full of flavor with just enough of a kick and we also ordered the shrimp and chicken fajitas and the mahi soft taco plate. All of the food was delicious and was made quickly and served hot which I always love. We had the best time and enjoy coming here to eat some delicious Mexican food.

Sacramento, California My favorite Mexican place whenever I am in Sacramento. I've only been to the Midtown location which is unassuming and cozy. Like going to your grandma's house knowing you're going to have a great home-cooked meal along with cozy comfort, and genuine, friendly service. Pastor has been my "go to" item --fatty pork cooked to tender deliciousness and served stand alone with beans and rice or in a soft taco like i had it today. Silence as soon as the food arrives as everyone is too busy enjoying their food.....Enchiladas, salsa(oh and they don't charge for chips and salsa!), fresh and made to order. Everything is good here. Metered parking in the neighborhood.

Love this place! Every time I come here I'm always satisfied with the food. The food is piping hot, super tasty and very filling. The service is lovely; they were very attentive with the water refills. The ambiance is so pleasant, whether you're sitting outside or inside in the well air-conditioned dining room. I always look forward to my next visit. My go-to is the mole enchiladas, with an horchata. Bonus points if you get a pitcher of mango margarita!

I was in town for training and checked this restaurant out with colleagues because someone local in the group recommended it. I am from New Mexico, so I tend to avoid Mexican food when I travel since it is rarely as good as back home. This was an exception and definitely worth it. I had the chile rellano and taco plate and it was very good. Glad I checked it out.

Tres Hermanas has been a long-time favorite for us. It's one of those neighborhood restaurants that feels established and comfortable the minute you walk in. The interior is colorful and lively with bright walls, artwork, Día de los Muertos accents, hanging lanterns, and a bar that feels like the center of the action. It has personality and history, not a polished chain feel. We've had many dishes here over the years, and the mole entrées have always stood out. They do rich, layered sauces really well. On this visit we kept it simple with tacos, guacamole, chips, and salsa. The guacamole was fresh and well balanced, and the salsa had just the right amount of kick. I ordered the soup and salad combo. The chicken and rice soup was savory and comforting. It's not fancy, just well made. Their house dressing, a creamy cilantro dressing, is still one of my favorites and honestly one of the reasons I'll order the salad every time. Service was helpful, friendly, and prompt. Everything came out in a reasonable amount of time, and the staff checked in without hovering. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. It's consistent, welcoming, and reliable. That kind of dependability is worth a lot. Four stars from me and still one of my go-to spots for Northern Mexican food in Sacramento.

Went to dinner here with 3 friends. There was a 30 min wait on a Sunday evening. Not bad. We didn't have to wait long to put in our drink order but my drink never came so I asked server which she then brought out shortly after. I ordered Tasha's Quesadilla. Half a quesadilla filled with chicken and a few other items with a side of rice, beans, sour cream and guac -- $20. Felt a bit over priced for the portion size. The taste was OK -- nothing exciting. Ambiance is OK as well. Tried it, but wouldn't go back.

    Side quesadilla $15 & side relleno $9

Came on a Tuesday for lunch & it was crowded but got seated quickly. Complimentary chips and delicious salsa. 3/5 chile relleno. Small portion, lots of breading, minimal cheese and pepper. For $9 it felt overpriced. 3.5/5 asada quesadilla for $15. Small flour tortilla. Asada flavor was good but the meat and cheese wasn't particularly plentiful. Included sour cream and salsa which I appreciated. 4/5 service was good. I've been lucky to have great servers as of late. Overall I was a bit disappointed in the food at this price point. I've been eating a lot of local Mexican food lately and this is usually a solid choice. I'll likely stick to the taquerias in my area for a bit unless it's a special occasion request.

Wow such a cool little neighborhood eatery! I was bummed we were working as it precluded the exciting stuff at the bar. The staff was friendly and on point. Sadly we were somewhat limited having to eat this int he back of a moving rig so burrito it was. The large burrito was perfect. The chicken was nicely chunked and well seasoned, all of the ingredients were fresh and in perfect portion to each other. Tightly wrapped it maintained structural integrity to the last bite which was essential in a moving vehicle. The beans were well cooked and seasoned (not the usual Spackle other places serve) The chips were hot, perfectly fried and just the right amount of salt, and the salsa was perfect. Super fun vibe inside and we were sad we did not have the time to sit down.

I'm sure at some point I've reviewed this great restaurant but today I tried for the first time their deep fried ice cream and it was sooooo goood I had to do a review just for that item. The lightly batter exterior contains yummy strawberry ice cream with strawberry topper and just the right amount of whip cream. This all come situated on a think shell that is great with the whip cream.

Has anyone noticed if they are still charging a separate tax besides sales tax, for the clean up of the street? Or maybe a COVID tax?

Is this a good spot for a date?

If it's a first date, probably not. It gets busy inside. The patio is nice, but you might be forgotten by the servers.

Do they take phone orders .. often I call phone is disconnected ? Big inconvenience for those who don't live in midtown.

Yes, but they are so busy it's easier to order online and pick up.

I have called 6 times now, someone picks up and then hangs up, is this normal or what. I'm trying to ask a question about reservations?

Are you open for pick-up? I'm used to eating the enchiladas every week and having major withdrawals. Is it possible to place an order?

Look at their website, and you will see that they are open for take out. Give them a call, if you want more information.

    Do they cater?

We can do the food, deliver for charge deliver but we don’t go & serve it if you have more question call the restaurant & speak with Anthony

There was no wait, and the high-top seating was surprisingly comfortable. Our server was welcoming and attentive, and the service was fast from start to finish. Between the great music and lively atmosphere, you can't help but want to dance while you eat! I ordered one of my favorites--the chicken sope. It was perfectly crispy on the outside while still soft and fluffy on the inside. The chicken was packed with flavor, and the rice and beans were just as delicious. The salsa that came with it was the perfect finishing touch, adding just the right amount of spice and an extra kick of flavor. My hubby ordered one of the carne asada dishes (so sorry, I forgot the name!). He said it was one of the best cuts of meat he's had at a Mexican restaurant in a long time--super tender, juicy, and full of flavor. We had such a fun night! I definitely recommend Rosa Madera--10/10 for a date night, girls' night, or any excuse to enjoy great food and an even better atmosphere.

I visited this past Saturday and it was quite busy inside like it always is. The restaurant is large enough to fit a lot of people, so finding a seat isn't an issue. To order, you line up in front of the register and wait until they call you. Once it was my turn, I ordered a Super Burrito with Al Pastor, which is my favorite protein choice there. Usually I order 2 tacos with my burrito but I was saving room for Korean bbq that day! The Super Burrito comes with your choice of meat, rice, beans, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and cheese. I also ordered a medium pineapple agua fresca, which paired perfectly with my burrito. After ordering, you're handed a number to take to your table so the servers know where to bring your food. As I'm waiting for my food, I helped myself to the self-serve chip bar. The chip bar is my favorite thing about the restaurant besides the food and quick service. I always get loads of both the white and red pickled onions, and some salsa to go with my chips. They offer many sides to choose from so that anyone can customize their meal to their liking. The pickled onions have the perfect level spice and acidity to them which helps with cutting down the greasiness you may get from a burrito. I also like to snack on them for fun too! The food comes out extremely quickly. When I finished placing my order and brought my number to my table, I went to the self-serve bar right after to get some chips. Not even 2-3 minutes later, I came back to my table with my burrito already there! The burrito was absolutely delicious and piping hot. It's the perfect size for me and eating it with the pineapple agua fresca and some chips makes it a perfect meal! Coming to La Favorita Taqueria is always a treat and I appreciate the quick customer service, self-serve bar, and delicious food! They didn't just walk by like frazzled, hurried workers like most restaurants pushing through the crowds. They actually gave me a nice smile and said welcome, and then walked by. And then I got to the reception area found that there was already a pretty big crowd at around the 5:30 PM or so I guess a lot of early birds come to eat there on Sunday. The receptionist asked for how many and said you'd be like a 20 minute wait and there was chairs where people were waiting but it was only like a 15 minute wait. The server was fast with the chips and salsa and ice water and then soon the waiter came and took my order. He was really quick and witty, fun to talk to. What I really enjoyed was as the noise of the table Near quieted down and they left. I saw a young man cleaning up the table and getting it ready for the next group of people. He was dressed really nice and had a tie on. Having been in restaurants most of my life I said to myself, I bet you he works with the owners or something. And I said to him, are your related to people that own the place ? he said my parents own this place. He was very friendly and polite. He told me a tiny bit about the restaurant and how everything had been since 1970, much older than he was, he was only a sophomore in high school I think. I never really got his name, but I was kind of proud of him because he was working hard at his family's restaurant. I ordered probably something bigger than I could eat because I had to take leftovers home, but it was really a tasty meal, and they're coming out with more chips and salsa without being asked, probably didn't help as well as a second lemonade. It is located at the Northgate area in a shopping plaza so lots of parking spots. Very impressive interior decor! It is very welcoming and visually pleasing! From the ceiling plants and lighting to the wall murals, it feels comfortable and very tidy with lots of dining tables. I ordered for to-go so was actually tempted to stay and eat-in but had to get back to work. For the food, ordered the following: ***All Day Lunch Special $14.55 (credit card) 3 street tacos (2 steaks and 1 chicken) 5/5 With rice and beans includes a drink ***1 Street taco (chicken) $3.38 (credit card) 5/5 The meal was delicious! The street tacos were very tasty and flavorful!! The staff were very courteous, friendly and accommodating. Very good customer service! Will visit again. Highly recommend so check 'em out!

Plenty of free chips and unlimited dips. Hot sauces, salsa are all different flavors and hit the taste buds hard!! Everyone was checking on us every few mins! Felt like we were eating in their home. So loving. Food here always been top notch. We ordered many times (via DoorDash) but sitting there and eating the food was a different vibe. Ordered a few different tacos, tostada and super nachos (with chicken). Their meat was seasoned to perfection. Actual flavors and not just salt. A bit pricey for each taco but the portion of taco is huge and honestly two did the job for me. Give it a try
