Chandos tacos catered for a party of 120 for my dad's 70th birthday party. The tacos were so delicious and the staff was on time and super helpful! They came with full service in their taco truck and only charge a reasonable price per person. All you can eat. Definitely recommend for Catering services!

Just no. No. No. No. After a couples pedicure, we went to grab a quick bite to eat, and wanted to try the newer to us Chando's location. I've been going to Chando's for years, and really appreciated the quality food at reasonable prices. That no longer exists. In fact, the food has become inedible over priced garbage. We spent over $60, and this was for take away When we arrived home, we were excited to have a nice evening, and both of us were looking forward to enjoying some good eats. ( see pictures) The food was haphazardly thrown in the boxes, and despite the request for no onions, the food was loaded with them. The food was mediocre, tasting at best, and definitely something that was completely unexpected. Back in the day, and not so long ago, you could order three tacos and a drink for around six dollars. That has now doubled in price, and frankly, it's just not worth it. I could go on and on and pick apart the different issues with each of the items that we ordered, but what's the point? It's just sad to spend this amount of money, and literally not be able to eat the food.

Had the please of coming here during our lunch and I had no idea they had a happy hour amazing two dollar store tacos fully loaded with guacamole and two dollar fish tacos. Customer service was amazing. Henry and his crew are very attentive to help you with your order and they deliver amazing Taco I will definitely come here Monday through Friday for the happy hour. If you want a Tijuana style taco go here

I've only been to this Chando's a few times now but I'm very familiar with Chando's as a Sacramento staple, particularly for tacos. What I've also heard from others are that there tortas are the way to go. I stopped in on Friday and needed lunch before working an all day event so I decided I'd go with a torta combo and an extra taco on the side to make sure I was set for the day. I got there at just about noon and there was only one person in front of me in line, with most of the tables empty. The guy in front of me ordered quickly and I put in my order before grabbing my drink and some salsa to go with my chips. They mostly have four top tables inside which makes it a little difficult when grabbing a table for one. It ended up getting busy shortly after arrived and I'd like to offer my table to groups or sit at a one/two top instead to make room, but I didn't see that as an option. Anyway, food came out relatively quickly and I was happy with the portions of everything. The torta was great with a lot of meat on it, a soft roll, and was a solid choice. I didn't love the taco de papas and would likely not get again, but now I know! Overall, solid lunch choice with some good combos. If you're in the mood for more than just one item, I definitely recommend shelling out a few more dollars for chips, a soda, and your choice of nacho cheese, bean dip, or pico!

Chando's has been more hit and miss over the last year and with the higher food prices we don't come as often anymore (I know prices are going up everywhere but food still has to be worth it otherwise I'll cook myself). For dinner this time we got two burritos and a side of guacamole. I did the Asada burrrito and added beans for extra $$. It was a good burrito and the perfect amount of food with the beans added. My husband did the nor cal burrito which includes fries and he picked carnitas. The food was good but he wished it was a bit bigger overall. The most disappointing was the side of guacamole that we paid $3.90 for and it was a quarter size container of blended avocado. Don't waste your money on the sides but the food itself is otherwise good.

    Let's try this !

When my husband heard I had never been here and experienced their food we stopped in our our way back into town. So many things on the menu we got a few things to try as much as I could. Everything was wonderful and fresh. I tried several of their meats on tacos, tortas, quesadillas and mulitas. We ate the mulitas there and took the rest to go for later and the quesadilla was huge and tacos were full of meat. Will definitely have to come back and try some more.

Chando's has been with Sacramento for over a decade and has expanded both their menus and their locations. I had the Birria Tacos with consomme (the soup/broth in the right side of the photo). It was very good and well seasoned. The reason for only 4 stars is that the portion is rather small (street tacos sized) for the price. I believe the three tacos was $14.99. And although it is called a "combo" it actually does not come with anything additional. So the drink was additional. The food was very good but there is another local food truck/pop up that serves bigger birria tacos for less money. But Chandos is a solid choice for consistency and cleanliness.

Location isn't the best. BUT I must say customer service and the food is! I ordered the birria tacos - not stingy - on the produce or meat, consome wasn't very flavorful, all the tacos were bomb! It's a family owned business and everyone was super friendly.

Whats the parking like? Do they serve alcohol?

They have beer to serve. Parking was open because it is in a area with lots of warehouse buildings .…

I tried to call and no answer. Does anyone know if they're opened back up?

Hello! I will check why they haven't answered, but yes we have been open for 2 months now! :) - Zebastian@chandostacos.com

Are they closed on Sundays now?

Thankfully there was still parking in the lot and seats inside. I was happily surprised there were still seats available as it was the USA game. The place was busy, but not packed. There were still a few seats at the bar when we arrived and a couple of tables available. It was the perfect place to arrive late to watch the game. This has turned over many times since we've lived here. Now it's a Mexican restaurant and bar. It's cleaned up well since we were here last. It has a very cute entrance. It has a couch and 2 shelving units on the sides of the couch. There is a sign above the couch that says Tequila Weill never break your heart. Veggie Taco Salad $14.75: Fired flour tortilla, pinto beans, grilled vegetables, avocado, sour cream, roasted corn & greens. It was very tasty. We loved the grilled vegetables. They were fresh and hot in the bottom of the taco salad on top of the pinto beans. The sour cream was drizzled on top of the avocados. Under that was a little bit of lettuce. There could have been a lot more lettuce. I would order it again. Mulita $7.55 regular price. $5 during happy hour, we sadly missed happy hour by minutes: stuffed corn tortilla, choice of meat, melted cheese ,with sour cream and guacamole on the side. I don't recall there being guacamole on the side, I think they put it in it. The Mulita was chuck full of meat, it was overflowing. It was very tasty. Though very messy. It's hard to eat with your hands alone. We cut it up into small pieces and ate it with our hands. We'd order it again. The ambiance was good. People were cheering for the USA. It was a fun environment. Subdued compared to other watch parties we've been too, but it was still nice.

When we entered the service was great ,the menu was wide , and the place was clean. Me and my husband ordered the 3 enchiladas plate . He got the red salsa I got the green salsa. We also ordered two margaritas . When we sat down they had my favorite salsa which is a sour cream salsa ! I always look for that when I go to a Mexican restaurant. The salsa bar was amazing and the chips were hot. About 5-10 minutes our margaritas came out and they were HUGE for only $10 ! They tasted amazing ! A few minutes later our food came out and the presentation was good. The green salsa I got on the other hand was very sour compared to others I've tried. My husbands red salsa was amazing though! When I went to take a bite of my enchilada I couldn't help but spit it out because the chicken had absolutely no seasoning and the chicken was almost like brown. I thought if I add my favorite salsa that it would cancel out the flavor but it didn't... I was extremely thrown off because the plate was $22 and we had spent $73 at this place just on two people. So I was very disappointed. The beans and rice were okay and my daughter ate most of it . But as I was eating my chips and salsa I would catch a whiff of the chicken and it's smelled really really bad. It was almost like it was old or something. My husband said his salsa cancelled out the chickens lack of flavor. When I go to a restaurant I expect the chicken or literally any meat on their menu to be seasoned. I should let have to ask if the meat is seasoned it should be mandatory. This is what I see very common in some Mexican restaurants. I would come back not for the entrees but for their drinks as they were big and low price, and also their salsa bar. I'm saddened because it was so close so I had hope.
