Came here for the first time during the midst of COVID, and was disappointed by the service and food. Figured I'd give them another try, post-pandemic... and I had an even worst experience this go around. First off, there was visible BLACK MOLD all around the AC vent, which you could tell they tried to paint over some of it but it's clearly there. As well in various other locations in the front eating section. They've clearly had water damaged which they've not taken care of safely. The unfriendly waitress was no where to be found for the first 20min that we sat down, and then when she did come, she didn't bring or offer chips and salsa, we had to ask. Then our drinks were forgotten after the chips came 30min in to us sitting down. We were about to leave at this point but I was so hungry that I didn't want to waste anymore time... Ordered a $14 quesadilla that looked like a child's plate. Incredibly overpriced for that little amount of food, and the service or food quality definitely doesn't compensate for these high prices. Do not eat here. I will never spend money at this business again. If you're nearby, you're better off visiting Los Vaqueros or Pisces. read more

I loved the breakfast tacos! I rolled up to the drive thru and was ready to eat and excited that a local spot even had a drive thru. I don't have a lot of breakfast taco experience but I thought mine were delicious. All the ingredients were obviously hand made and quality. I wish I would have known that they weren't premade tacos to order, but you make them yourself out of a list of Ingredients. I held up the line a bit not knowing what to choose. Quiet place right off 35. Easy to get to. Small menu. I had guacamole appetizer. $8 So, it's quite a bit of guacamole but it does have a lot of filler. My guacamole had small amounts of lettuce and it was very light in color. It was not very tasty either. More bland. Corn chips are out of a bag and taste like what you would get in a convenience store. This would be a hard no for Mexican food, come on make your own chips. Ordered the enchiladas as my entree. Chicken with green sauce, it came with rice and beans. The rice and beans were tasty and the enchiladas were filled with shredded chicken. They were good not great but at $13 for two enchiladas and rice and beans you are getting up there in price for a plate. So there you go. An average Mexican restaurant in a world of several competitors. If in a pinch and couldn't find an open spot I'd come back. We found this place a few months ago while visiting friends. Nice people, somewhat good food. Today, after flying into the greater Austin area. We decided to go for a bite. I am sharing with the public the ridiculous overcharging for 4 eggs to be put on enchiladas. As you can see, for two eggs, we were charged $4.00 for putting on Chilaquilas. The RIDICULOUS reasoning given by the female manager was because on the Enchiladas Mexicans, there is NOT AN OPTION, for eggs. Therefore, it is considered an a la carte. WHAT? An egg is an egg. This goes to show how ridiculous owners are overcharging the consumers and giving hideous excuses for the overcharging. For $12.96, we could have bought 2 dozen eggs. Our side of the table ordered the lengua plate, enchiladas plate, quesadillas & I believe the al pastor tacos? Everything was so juicy, flavorful, and greatly priced!! (A rare find these days!) The server was very kind and accommodating and allowed me to mix & match & get mole + ranchero sauce for my enchiladas which were one of the best enchiladas I've ever had! Chips and salsa are good bites. Migas are good but a bit steep at $9 even with the crappy overcooked bacon. Rooster did like his American breakfast with eggs, two pancakes, and sausage. CM's shrimp cocktail was a nice dish. Ample shrimp, avocado, and spicy broth served in a large margarita glass. I've also found the mole sauce used in various dishes a nice version. Downsides...I've been to the bar...where there was no bartender...and sat there till we left 10 minutes later. Prices are steep, would rather drive into Austin for better food. I've been here a handful of times and have always had a great experience and have really enjoyed their food. I've been here for date nights with my husband and for family gatherings. I've also gone through the drive-thru and still experienced good service and fast and hot food. I love the look of the inside of the restaurant and really enjoy the bakery items. For food, I usually go for the pastor plate or cheese enchiladas. My husband really enjoys their food too.
