One of my favorite restaurants in Olympia for a long time. I love the salad, pizza, spinach ravioli and meatball sub!

So far it has been 10 minutes before we were acknowledged after being seated. The food was good, the pizza my kids had was the best I have had in a while. Two of my friends and I went here for lunch. I had the chicken salad with no olives. The salad was good but overpriced for the literally small handful of plain lettuce and 1/3 of a cooked chicken breast for $8.50. I am a SUPER picky eater, and I love Casa Mia! Their pasta and salads are really simple and delicious. My fiance got the steak once and it was (while a bit salty) one of the best steaks I've ever tasted. I went to Casa mia multiple times in my past and the food was always pretty good and even greater salads! BUT this last time I went there with my son and wife we all got food poisoning, now Ive NEVER gotten food poisoning anywhere else so thats why I decided to give it 1 star. My husband and I love coming here for date night. The food is delicious and service is good. My one complaint is that we took our two kids (4 and 6) here for the first time and found out that they have a kids menu, but only for kids 5 and younger. Really? Most restaurants set the age at 10 or 12. While I'm sure my husband and I will be back (it's delicious food!), we won't be back with the kids. read more

A group of us went to Casa Mia for a last-minute dinner after a wedding reception. They seated a large group of eight of us quickly and efficiently. The service was great, and they got our food out in a reasonable amount of time. The fourth star is for the garlic bread they served us (I'm a sucker for free bread). My sister and I ordered the Casa Mia Classic Fettuccini with meat sauce to share and it was plenty! Reasonable prices and great service. The atmosphere is pretty generic, but it is a chain restaurant after all. Great experience! read more

Came into Casa Mia today with my wife and was pleasantly surprised to see the wonderful waitress Linda working. Even though I had not been served my her in nearly 7 years, she still had remembered who I was. Made the restaurant feel just like home! We had ordered their amazing sub sandwich (which we shared) and each got our own salads. It was the perfect amount of food for the perfect price. And very delicious! Not only is their food great, but their customer service is as well. We were greeted when we walked in with a big smile and seated right away but their lovely hostess. Even when we paid the chef took time to exchange a few words and laughs with us. And to top off the amazing service, I had left my sunglasses on the table, which the hostess kindly brought out to my car for me. Overall the best restaurant experience I have had yet! read more

Stopped in today during a busy lunch rush and was instantly greeted and seated. I had a salad - with the house dressing followed by my favorite - spaghetti!! Authentic and awesome - as always! I would love to have had a better experience as the atmosphere and service were nice. Lost me at the food. Sauces were nothing spectacular but I will stop short of accusing them of coming out of a can. The pasta was definitely previously frozen but worse than that, it was not drained enough, watering down an already marginal sauce. The Festival Sausage was flavorful enough, but it is served of a plate of wholly unremarkable, under seasoned white beans that could have been saved with a smattering of stewed tomato, some kale, or even just a little onion and salt. Decent value I guess as the portions were not stingy and I left fed. Maybe they had their second string chef in today. Second try...to go order. First. The online menu and the restaurant's have never met, few similarities. Unlike my first visit, the food quality was better this time, tasty in fact (butternut squash ravioli). The portion size was pretty stingy this time however, I think I paid about a dollar per ravioli...not really but close. Slight chance of a third try later. Up to three stars. read more

We went in to sit down, ordered our meal and our 5 yr old decided to act up. So, I changed what we ordered to a To-Go meal before our food came....The waiter and the cook were OUTSTANDINGLY accommodating! They boxed everything up very quickly. The cook noticed at the last second that my order was boxed incorrectly and immediately corrected the error and still gave us the incorrect order that he was going to toss (Lunch for tomorrow). The food was absolutely delicious! I have never seen my child so excited to take a bite of food! Preordered pizza for pick up then asked if we can dine in. The person who answered was very nice and said sure we have lots of tables. We got there and we were given a box of pizza and soda. I paid and included the tip and we proceeded to sit down. This was the most awkward situation. The waitress kept looking at us as if we stole the pizza. Never once did anyone come over to ask how our pizza was! Weird situation...guess the person who took the order did not put dinning in and no one bothered to ask. Staying next door at the Ramada. Read all the reviews and we were looking forward to a great meal. The Wine and the Bread and Butter was all that was edible. Nothing else had any Flavor. One in our party had Ravioli with Butter Squash. It was tastless and bland. She didn't eat 1/3. My Wife had some kind of House Ravioli. Tasted like cooked paper and it was room temperature with sauce tasting worse than from a Jar. I had a Gravy Boat filled with 1/2 Manicotti and 1/2 Canoli? It was right out of the Microwave oozing oily goo and again was Bland, favorless, rancid tasting crap. I have never had worse food. And $50.00 cost. Unbeleivable that this place is still open. The food was alright the spinach cheese ravioli was kinda bland, I did like the bread. But, for my first time coming in I probably will not return. When we got there the booth was messy so we sat at a table , we asked to have a booth cleaned because the plastic chairs were uncomfortable. Upon doing so the older waitress (don't know her name because the staff don't wear name tags) practically threw our menus on the table and walked over to the booth to clean it. I want to love this place so badly, but just can't bring myself to give it a good review- the service is that terrible. We arrived at 6:30 and were seated quickly. 10 minutes later, we were brought menus and asked for drink orders. Another ten minutes past before we were brought water. The guy who brought us water informed us that the waitress would be by shortly to take our order... Twenty minutes later, she showed up. It took us over an hour to get food in front of us. The food was pretty darn good, and the bill wasn't astronomical, but everything was kind of ruined by the crummy service. I scrapped all the salad to one half of the flat bread and ate 2 slices with just tomatoes and mozzarella. Our waitress never came back to ask how our food was. I flagged another person down to ask if they had fresh tomato slices and she said she didn't know and would find our waitress. I don't know if this was her break time or what. This restaurant was literally disgusting. The side salad was iceberg lettuce with mozzarella shreds out of a bag and canned black olives. Following that, the manicotti that I ordered came drenched in grease. I scraped the thick layer of greasy cheese off, then the manicotti noodles were very undercooked. My husband got chicken parm, which was obviously a frozen piece of chicken, lathered with canned sauce and piled with more greasy cheese. He got an order of fettuccine as his side and not only were most of the noodles hard and crunchy, it looked like they had been cooked at least a day prior. The sauce was a thick, clumpy, white mess. Maybe the pizza is good, too bad we will never know. You couldn't pay me to go back there when there are so many wonderful Italian eateries in the area. I was looking for a nice Italian restaurant to take my girlfriend in the Lacey area, so I did what I usually do and turned to Yelp for help. Having read through most of the reviews and seeing mostly 4-5 star rating I decided upon Casa Mia. Never before in my life have I ever been so disappointed by the Yelp community or a restaurant in general. From service, food presentation, food taste, and price, Casa Mia was the most disappointing restaurant experience I have ever had. The Service: Walking in you find yourself surrounded by lack luster decor and staring right at the kitchen, which looked dingy and grimy. We stood there for what seemed like forever without even being greeted. One server actually walked past us without saying a single word. Having worked in the restaurant industry before I know how busy it can get... it was not busy that night. I can understand not being able to seat someone at that exact moment... but to not even be greeted with a 'Hello' or a 'Welcome' should have tipped me off right then and there to walk right out. But no, I figured they deserved another shot at 'Wowing' me... perhaps with a tasty meal... that didn't happen either. After being seated and given menus it took another 5 minutes and having to ask to get two glasses of water. The food we ordered came out in the wrong order and missing items... FAIL! The Food: After reviewing the order my girlfriend and I decided on what we wanted. I had ordered the "meat ravioli with tomato sauce" and asked for a side of meat balls and she had the "cheese ravioli with pesto sauce". To start things off we both agreed on a order of "garlic bread". When we finally got the meal the food was dismal at best. Let me elaborate for you. The 'starter salad': What looked to be bagged lettuce with a heaping pile of thickly grated mozzarella cheese, four slices of black olives, and a slurry of dressing to top it all off. Now don't get me wrong I have nothing against bagged lettuce... I use it all the time. But this was just iceberg lettuce. No carrot shavings, red cabbage, onions, tomatoes, nothing! First course... FAIL! The 'garlic bread': To call what I was served garlic bread should be against the law. A white bread roll cut in half, basted with enough butter to clog an artery, and topped with dill weed IS NOT 'garlic bread! I order better bread sticks from Papa John's! Not to mention it came out after the main meals were served... and this was supposed to be an appetizer... Second course...FAIL! The 'ravioli': Ravioli? Please... mine was 'meat' I don't know what kind of 'meat' was in there, but it tasted like dog. To say that these prepacked, frozen, then boiled things were 'ravioli' is a crime against Italians everywhere. Not to mention the tomato sauce was essentially canned stewed tomatoes with one... yes one single bay leaf, for what? Flavor? No! A 'sauce' denotes spices and herbs. This was not a sauce. The 'pesto sauce' tasted like it was straight from a jar and microwaved. Oh don't forge those 'meatballs' I ordered. Not only were they forgotten until I mentioned something, but they(all three of them) arrived in a side dish with no sauce, marrinating in their own grease, and without flavor. Main course... FAIL! The Presentation: Everything about this meal was flat, bland, and unimpressive. There seemed to be no thought to the presentation. The food seemed to be thrown onto the dish. No accents, no flare, no nothing. I've seen The Olive Garden put more thought into the presentation of their dishes than I saw at Casa Mia. Very disappointing. The Price: For all the lack luster. Poor service, worse food, and terrible presentation made me think this was going to be a cheap ticket... Boy was I surprised! Not only do they not take your bill from the table, but they make you walk up and stand by the open grimy kitchen where their cash register is to pay for the bill. At this point I was so fed up with it I had to walk out and my girlfriend dealt with the 'cashier'. When she got into the car I asked her how much it was and when she told me I about had a heart attack. $60!! You have got to be kidding me! Holy cow! I don't know if this restaurant has two different crews working there or what. But I do not know how some of these reviews can even be justified. For a "Family Italian Restaurant" to produce such gawd awful food blew my mind. I will not be going back there. Not even if some one else were to invite me and pay for it. I would tell them to take me to the nearest Olive Garden. At least there you know that you will get decent service and mediocre food. Ok, I would like to start this off by saying we looked up this restaurant up before we attended and it had some mixed reviews but it had been highly recommended as a decent place in town. Oh my gosh this was the worst dining experience I have ever had. First the hostess had no idea what she was doing and if you can not multi task that probably is not the field for you, but continuing on we waited around for about 6-8 minutes until she finally got around to seating us at table no bigger than 2 ft x 2ft in a tiny corner and my poor husband who is 6 foot 5in was squished in like a sardine. After being left unattended for 15 minutes our waitress comes out and rushes us to have our order taken and only bringing one cup of water. (Granted they were not busy) this was not very polite nor good service. So we wait about 5 minutes and our salad came out..... now on a previous review someone stated the salad was iceberg lettuce with cheese, and olives.... that was not a joke that was literally it... so to continue on the same hostess from the beginning came back and asked that we change our seat because they had reservations in the patio for a large party.... okay more legs space.GREAT... until you sit down and you ass is completely wet. So we wait and we wait and then finally our food came. We GOT CHICKEN PARMESAN, how do you mess that up? It was SO BAD. I took one small bite and couldn't even get it down the chicken must have been frozen forever before being cooked. We are never people to complain but everything combined, this was hands down the worst place I have ever been to.
