Do not make a reservation at this restaurant. The customer service is terrible. I never received an email confirmation for a reservation I made and then when I tried to call to confirm, the person hung up on me. I was then charged a cancellation fee for not showing up to the reservation. Also told by hotel concierge that it is very touristy. Stay away. read more

I read good reviews online so I was adamant on eating here even though everyone was eating at the neighboring restaurants instead of here. Even though we were eating indoors, there were a lot of bugs flying around, especially on the window behind us. Pan (bread) - 1,50 euros. We didn't know the bread wasn't complimentary since we haven't had non-complimentary bread served to us in Spain. Thus, we didn't mind how hard and inedible the two roll of breads were (mind you, we had three people). They were hard as brick, a knife couldn't even stab through them. The bread basket also included two mini bags of camperos-classic picos breadstick. Maybe our server felt bad so he added a plate of olives later on (which is not on the bill). We only realized that the bread wasn't complimentary when we got the bill. Croquetas caseras (home-made croquettes) - 4,50 euros. It came with fried zuchinni and fried potato. I didn't like them too much. Rodaballo (fish) - 24,50 euros. I saw a picture of this online and asked our server where it was on the menu. Turns out the item is on a separate "special" menu. The presentation was very nice and it was seasoned just right. Filetes presa iberico (steak) - 15,00 euros. My boyf asked for the steak to be well done but one piece was super charred. The steak came with potatoes, sweet potatoes, and pears. Revuelto de morcilla (scrambled eggs with sausage) - 11,77 euros. It was like mashed up eggs and sausages molded into a nice shape. But it was terribly bitter. Our server asked what size I wanted to get and he recommended the larger size but it was way too much so if you want to try this, just get it in small! I seriously could not continue after a few bites of it and I didn't want to ask for a replacement because we had trouble communicating with our server. I highly don't recommend this dish but maybe the chef just screwed up mine? One more party came in towards the end of our meal and all of a sudden it became hard to flag down our waiter for the bill. read more

The worst restaurant in a week and three cities in Spain. The servers were so unfriendly as if we customers were enemies! They didn't even know how to open the oysters - the fresh was all messed up and broken shell were all over. I was almost asking them to swallow the oyster meat with those pieces of broken shells. We saw this place while we walked by and thought it would be too pricey to want to try out. When we saw the menu had a fixed price lunch option that included beer/wine, appetizer, meat plate, main course, and dessert/coffee for one price, we said 'yes'. The appetizer salad was a bit lame (again, green salad = green vegetables, NOT iceberg lettuce), but the following plate (the meat plate) was phenomenal! It had a hard cheese and some other cured pork options and I was in heaven - super tasty and actually very filling in itself. The main course was also really delicious and filling and my husbands dish, the lamb, was really flavorful and comforting. Add to that a great selection of desserts (which, by the way, were scrumptious, inventive and generous) and we were happy! The bill was as expected and service was friendly and prompt. My hotel recommended this place for good paella. I ordered paella for one, which came from a different menu. I was not impressed and had better. The sangria was also not so good. My husband got lamb chops and although the meal wasn't sufficient, it was the best lamb chops he had. The service was fast. read more

Amazing location to draw in tourists and shoppers so at first it can be deterring if you're like me and you seek local only or hidden gem dining spots. Well, I'm pleased to say it was worthy of the resistance I had to break through as they've service down to a science but are attentive as well. Tapas are really diverse and all more than just traditional. It isn't oozing with culinary creativity but where lacks in that regard it exceeds in the quality of ingredients and desserts. This is a must stop if shopping or strolling this area for lunch and sitting outside looking at the church walls is the best way to enjoy this spot for sure. read more

Sooooo disappointing. After ordering a great glass of wine, which is the reason they get one star. My wife and I were presented with a pretty bland meal, the veal that was marinated in sherry had no flavour, as in I would rather eat my sneakers. The sausages cooked with onions were ok but left wanting. The service was good and the waiter was accommodating but we hurriedly paid and went elsewhere for dessert not wanting any further disappointment. I was upset enough about the quality of the meal that my wife had to talk me out of going to a tapas bar because I didn't want that food to be my memory for the evening. The cook here may have lost his love for cooking, it shows. If the owner reads this, please, make it better, you have a beautiful location and ambiance. Be the best meal that people can have in Seville, keep it simple and make food that you love and want to eat. After an extremely successful week in Seville, I decided to take my team out for a celebration dinner. Casa Robles is the perfect place for traditional Andalusian food. They were able to accommodate our party by setting up a separate room for us. The service was absolutely outstanding. The waitstaff and owners were extremely attentive and provided us with first-rate service during a three-hour meal. I am not normally a fan of Spanish food. However, when prepared correctly, it is a unique dining experience. Authentic Spanish food is much better than the trendy tapas restaurants that are opening up all over the United States. The meal started with excellent drinks. While the cocktail list is rather limited, the mojitos and caipirinhas were both outstanding. The wine list is extensive and offers a variety of very good choices at a reasonable price. As with any typical Spanish meal, we had numerous appetizers that we shared. Our selections included Iberian ham, an outstanding cheese plate, ham and cheese croquettes, shark prepared in a traditional way, calamari, and olives. My particular entrée was a veal entrecôte served Sevillian style with potatoes, red peppers, onions and white wine ... It was outstanding. The other entrées ordered by our group included a beef fillet with foie gras, sirloin, salmon, seafood stew, and a local fish served as a special. Every person loved their entrée. The table went almost completely silent as the entrées arrived at the table. It was truly a wonderful dining experience. A few desserts were shared around the table, of particular note was a lemon meringue type of dessert served in a glass. Other desserts included lemon sorbet served with champagne, a caramel sundae, and a cheese plate. Casa Robles is known for their outstanding desserts. They have one restaurant in town that specializes in desserts and it is routinely packed until the early hours of the morning. The coffee, cafe con leche, was a typical Spanish coffee, strong, bold, and prepared to perfection. The meal was topped off with a complimentary shot of either a caramel liquor or the traditional cherry liquor. Our bill was very reasonable, a little over $1000 for the entire table. This was an excellent experience, and a great team building exercise. I highly recommend Casa Robles for either an intimate dinner with someone you love, a business associate, or a large group of people celebrating success. read more

Certainly bad food, service was poor, 5 courses in just over 60 minutes. There are certainly much better restaurant. Incidentally, that is also indicated in the restaurant and via e-mail. As other reviews stated, all the restaurants next to it & many in the same locale were bustling but Casa Roblas had only 2 tables outside that were occupied & one inside. Hmmm.....first clue. The server was pleasant enough until we didn't order drinks, then he took our order & only came back once to bring our meal. The artisan roll that we had enjoyed everywhere else was hard & dried out. My husband ordered the Acorn-fed Iberico ham and virgin olive oil on little toasts. He said that at 26e he expected better than the bars we had ordered at all week for much less, but it was just average. I ordered the 18e Avocado, mango and prawn salad. I asked the server how many prawns were on it, he said 4-5. What was delivered was a small salad with 3 & 1/2 baby shrimp, no prawns, tomato wedges, mixed greens that included iceberg, a whole sliced avocado and one tiny sliver of mango that was the size of my pinkie finger. We were staying down the block on Calle Alvarez Quintero, so were excited to see Robles listed in our guide book. The setting (we sat outside on the street) was adorable. The patatas bravas were unbelievable - some of the best I had on this week-long trip to Spain. We ordered the green salad, and while it was good, it seemed like something I would have made myself, as it was a simple bed of lettuce with capers, avocado, cornichon, endive, and hearts of palm. We all ordered the paella, which was tasty and had lots of seafood, but it was somewhat runnier than what I am accustomed to. read more
