Believe the terrible reviews....it's all true!!! I've been coming here for years and clearly there is a new chef or owner. I ordered the Serrano tacos which are usually marinated in wine with grilled onions and pepper. When I got my tacos all that was inside was what tasted like boiled meat. No onions or peppers and no marinade what so over. When you tell them you are not happy they say "oh, the menu has changed." The food is so salty!!!! They charge for extra chips.....never have I heard of this at a Mexican place. I know food, take it from me, drive out of the casino to eat. It's over priced awful Mexican food. read more

Food was really good as always. I grew up in Chandler and often ate at Serrano's. At the first and original Serrano's in Chandler they use to have boxing matches with the ring set-up in the back room. When I eat at a restaurant I usually set my grade on a few items 1. The food. 2. Very upset! I should have read the reviews before making plans on coming here. The restaurant supposedly closes at 10 pm. We showed at 9pm. Some of my family walked all the way across the strip to meet us there only to be told they were closed cause there was already too many people. I look inside the restaurant and it was almost empty. I told the manager they should honor their orders of operation and the manager was so rude and basically told us to go to hell. I do not recommend this lace to anyone. read more

One thing that bothered me was they had a table of 12 that when we arrived was dirty and stayed that way even we left which to me shows no pride in the work they do and it even shows in the food. LOUD....Food was HORRIBLE. It was a Saturday, and they were extremely busy. Service was lacking. We sat in bar area in hopes that we would be served quicker. People rushing by, and ignoring us. I had the fajita's - it came with Chicken Tortilla Soup. It was overly salty, and I'm pretty sure the chicken was from the day before. I became instantly sick, after only 2 small bites. They brought my rice and beans and forgot to bring the fajita entree itself. By the time we were able to flag someone down....10 minutes had gone by and they brought the fajita's out cold. I've been going to Casa Serranos since I was a little girl so you can imagine the shock I endured upon my last and final visit here. The service continues to deteriorate and what was once a fine establishment is becoming a hole in the wall type of place. Don't get me wrong, the food is decent, but it is hardly something to endure the poor service that this establishment provides. Last year, we came to the restaurant only to be sat after this anglo family that we had arrived prior too. Throughout our visit it became apparent that they were catering more to this family than to ours. Our money was just as good. In fact, we had 12 people in our party. Anywho, they changed waiters on us in the middle of our visit. So unprofessional! Our waiter even gave us attitude because he said he was trying to get used to us. When my dad complained to the manager, she acted like she didn't care and the girl at the counter was careless as well. They had this attitude of not caring that we had a horrible experience. Flash forward one year later, we decided to give this place another shot for old time's sake. I ordered a salad with summer around the corner trying to take care of what I put in my body. I had taken 3 bites into it when I discovered there was a bug, alive and moving. It was small but it was disgusting. We flagged a waitress down and she nonchalantly said "oh it's just a little vegetable bug. She told me that they would comp it and wanted to bring me the same thing. I opted to change my order given her casual attitude towards the bug. Bottom line, this was the last straw. My family and I will no longer be dining here. If you like bugs and low-quality customer service than be my guest but that's just not my glass of margarita. read more

I've been here before and it was pretty good. This was about 5 years ago. I will never go back after this last visit. I was charged 3$ for rock hard avocado. My burrito wasabi supposed to be shredded beef but was more like a bell pepper and onion with light beef burrito. Our server never smiled took our order with an attitude and wrote it on the back of a receipt. One of the waitresses did ask us how we were we answered then asked her and she stated she was hiding out. I dont blame her. Their "verde" sauce was obviously just sauce dyed green The waiter left us sitting there after he took our plates. Was excited to try this place I love Mexican food but this place was very disappointing. It started with the fact that it took over 10 minutes to get seated even know half the tables were empty and then it went to conceded we have to get on menus our own silverware and waited another 10 minutes just to get chips and salsa. We have had the El Bandito Burrito several times, that is the only thing we have had there. Endless HUGE glasses of iced tea, chips were fresh and hot, salsas and beans are tasty and frequently refreshed. Burrito was HUGE and fed 6 people! Sauces are great, fillings are plentiful and overall the service was friendly and willing. We ALWAYS go back for another round of that tasty concoction. I am from California, have had MANY authentic dishes, and can cook many of them myself. This place is tasty and worth the trip. If I had to grade on décor, it is a little over the top, but the bathrooms are clean and easy to find, tables aren't crowded and the time I had to wait for a table was minimal. This place is a disaster. Every year we come here and the service and food gets much worse. When we came here with our party half the people got there food in 45 min and the other half got there's 25 min later. When the server came he said yeah they jacked our plates. The restaurant was busy. My fajitas came without tortillas so I had to sit there until it was just warm. The manager came over and gave us some churros though at the end. The server was terrible. Had to ask for more chips and drinks a lot. Beans cost an extra $1 now. This food is not good here and always hurts my stomach. read more

This is my first time to Laughlin. I specifically came to this restaurant with my husband because he said it was great! We sat at the bar, I had a beer and the food was good. Around the right of the bar it must lead to the kitchen because there was a group of servers sharing pictures, engaging in a full blown conversation, and the bartender wasn't to be found. I asked for the check and they quickly broke up their non-work related chatter and the check was brought to us by a different server. Customer care in the restaurant industry is a must. There's one chance to get it right to have repeat guests, even if it's only when we are on vacation. Pretty disappointed. read more

I wish I could give zero stars, or a negative number. Absolutely the worst service I've ever seen, and the product they're supposed to be serving but rarely get around to is below average at best. Stay away. If you want to know why, read on. We were a party of 13, and so expected to wait. However, as a few of us used the restroom, we could see tables clearly ready to accommodate us, sitting empty. I ordered two perfect Cadillac margaritas, and got two average margaritas made with Jose Cuervo and a mix from a bottle (but priced accordingly, so I let it go). We waited 20 or 30 minutes before being seated. We did get chips, two salsas (both of which were good, even if neither had any heat to them at all) and a bean dip pretty quickly, which was nice! We had to ask for water, and it did come. Meanwhile, we were running out of chips, and finally got to place an order maybe fifteen minutes after being seated. A couple of us had to go to the bar for more drinks. A few of us got more chips and salsa, and I began to wonder how soon it would be before we were full of chips and just left. The food took forever, and started to dribble-drabble out of the kitchen a good 20-30 minutes after being ordered. Several orders were wrong, I immediately sent back the cheese crisp I'd specifically ordered as an appetizer, and the problems sprung up quickly. Half of our table didn't have any silverware, and after having to ask for it, someone brought it and just dumped it on the table. Some of our party never got their meals. One person who ordered fajitas had to ask three times for tortillas. I had a so-called empanada which was nothing of the sort... someone needs to tell these people and empanada is a pastry, not a fried tortilla. Anyway, my girlfriend was the first to snap, and went hunting for the manager. We got her over, and her response was , "Sorry, we're busy". And that's our fault?? Why were we seated if there was no capacity to serve us? The first time she was over, she pretty much refused to do anything about it, but as things got worse and worse and more member of our party dragged her back to try to fix problems (our server had abandoned us at that point, he knew this situation was so FUBAR there were not going to be any tips to be had). One guy had to grab the fajitas and hold the metal plate in his hand, saying, "Look! I'm holding a fajita plate in my hands! What's wrong with this picture?" They came back two minutes later, obviously reheated. The manager kept apologizing, but clearly isn't able or willing to do anything to fix this. I pointed out several ways in which basic customer service had utterly failed, like the silverware, the fact that our waters were mostly empty yet nobody had ever offered refills, etc. She replies, "We're busy" But this is what you're supposed to do! This is what a restaurant is for... TO SERVE THE CUSTOMER! I suggested we just leave what we thought was reasonable and walk out, but someone else basically had to browbeat her into drastically modifying the check. A few snide comments were made in Spanish until they realized that a couple of the gringos spoke the language perfectly well ;-) Moral of the story: This place is a complete failure, top to bottom. Management that cannot manage, servers that know or care nothing about service, an owner who doesn't know what the heck he's selling. Go find an Acapulco or On The Border... you'll get much better service and food. read more

My brother and dad insist we go there on every trip to Laughlin. The food is always a let down. Typically I stick to the nachos. I want to say I like to go there after a long hot day on the river md have a nice refreshing margarita. But they served us margaritas in soda glasses!! What the!!!!! Kids plates are huge! If u have children that are small eaters, have them split a childrens plate. The quesedillas were good. Chicken plates were bland, cheese enchilada were not tasty. Albondigas soup my brother said was good, Dad said carnitas wrap was good. Huge bowl of shrimp cocktail got an OK review. Service was good and fast. !!! Wow!!! This was by far the Worst food I have ever tasted in a restaurant. We ordered appetizer sampler. When I saw it, I didn't have a good feeling about it.... I tasted it anyway. Went here on 7/13 for dinner and immediately felt unwelcome by the entire staff. The hostess was busy on her iPhone when we stood there for a few moments wondering if she was going to seat us. Our waiter was nice but it also was irritating that we didn't get a refill on our drinks the entire time we were there. I mean the check came before he even refilled our drinks!!! Give me a break!! The only thing good here is the machaca, queso dip is pretty good too. Drinks are horrible. This was our 3rd time here and you're better off ordering s beer. All 3 times I've sent the drinks back. We have been coming here whenever we get over here from phoenix....used to really enjoy it. They have increased their prices and the quality definately has went down. Very sad. They cant even serve margaritas in margarita glasses...water glasses. Now charging for their bean dip which previously free when they bought the chips.
