We were allowed to sit and order drinks while waiting for everyone to arrive. Our server, Chris, was amazing. He was very prompt with our drinks, very patient with all of us. Even a couple of latecomers. He answered all of our questions and requests with a smile and courtesy. The everyone remarked about the great service, plentiful servings and how good (tasteful) our food was. The food stars tonight were the taco salad, prime rib and teriyaki chicken. After a long absence and driving carefully to avoid striking mostly black-clad Halloween trick-or-treaters on the roadway, Diane and I ventured here again on another Friday night soon after 7:30 p.m., this time for me to sample more Fish N Chips, and Diane some Fish N Shrimp with double Chips. Since I knew that the Fish N Chips offered here was no longer All You Can Eat, I opened with an add on: a refreshing Side Salad with Honey Mustard Dressing. It contained several small cubes of tomato, and helped to fill me up, as designed. Our entrees arrived soon afterward. Besides Coleslaw that had a good balance of creaminess and crunchiness, and nicely seasoned elongated French Fries, the battered fish on my plate consisted of three large batons of very heat-hot fish that tasted great dipped in provided Tartar Sauce after application of a little lemon juice and malt vinegar. One of my batons was a little undercooked; the other two were perfect. Diane liked her Fish N Chips as well, plus the Fried Shrimp, but wished that her shrimps had been battered rather than breaded. Our server, Chris G., did a great job of waiting on us, and quickly fulfilled our requests for ketchup, malt vinegar, and in Diane's case Coleslaw removed from her plate. Even though I was pretty full at meal's end, I knew that if we had gone to an AYCE place like Black Bear Diner across the Colorado River, I would have downed at least one more filet of fish. The Fish N Chips offering here was quite reasonably priced, so Diane and I discussed putting in another order to split, and decided to do so. Thus, I called our server over and tried to put in the order. Alas, I was told that no more fish remained--but not to worry about making a belated request, because the cook had informed him that no more fish remained right after receiving our initial order. So we couldn't have had more fish even if we had tried to add a third helping with our original order. Next time I will arrive earlier in the evening! read more

Solid four stars...Five for the server...she was amazing. Hub and I have heard of this Taco salad...so we went over there to see what the talk is all about. We both just ordered water with lemon. Salad is priced at 15.99, however it could easily feed both of us...we got our own and sadly had a ton of leftover that we did not bring with us. Lettuce was fresh as well as the tomatoes and cheese, the meat was good, but not enough taco seasoning...more taco season would really bring this up to the next level. Hub tried the outside shell and reported back "meh"...personally I think these are really vessels to hold and not to eat. This came with pico and guacamole on the side...the gauc was amazing...some of the best I have had...really was great. Server also offered a dressing which I elected to get ranch...it worked well with the salad and was clearly a homemade ranch, once again, generous portion!!! Inside....well it is a cafe..so no real ambience to speak of, but they did put us on the window and that was a nice choice. I might be back to try something different on the menu next time. So glad we got to check out this place on vacation! This little hole in the wall restaurant was great! And way better than standing in line for an hour at any of the other casino restaurants. I loved the artwork on the walls, it had a very tiki cow vibe. I also loved that it was the least chaotic place, we had a water front view and able to relax while eating our meal. Food was delicious and came out fast, portion size as pretty large! And pricing was probably the only normal priced food down here. Overall great experience and def will be back next summer! read more

Much improved from our last encounter, the Chuckwagon is worthy with hardy good burgers, prime rib, chicken sandwiches, salads, fries, onion rings, breakfast burritos, eggs Benedict and daily specials. We got wonderful young lady servers who checked on us even while we sat at the bar. BTW - The women bartenders are excellent. It's once again ready for any wagon train. On my most recent trip to Laughlin, I finally got to eat at this restaurant, and I must say it will be a regular stop whenever I'm in town. I heard from many fellow travelers about the burgers here, so that's what I set out to have. There was a bit of a wait, but they give you a beeper that goes off when your table is ready, and they also call your name over a PA system as well. I was seated and a very sweet lady took my drink order and told me my waitress would be with me shortly. My waitress appeared a few minutes later and I ordered my burger. I had the jalapeño burger, medium rare, on grilled rye bread instead of a bun, and it came with fries. The fries were just your average frozen fries but that burger was delicious. It's cooked on an open flame grill and has a wonderful smoky charred flavor. And it was cooked perfectly. Loads of jalapeños on it as well as the standard burger accompaniments. Service was outstanding, the staff is very friendly and the burgers are delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in Laughlin, great service, great people, excellent food at an affordable price. I look forward to many more meals here. read more

Located in The Regency casino between Edgewater & Aquarius this small casino would be easy to miss but worth the stop. Very unique with great views, food and quaint bar with slots along with a neat gift shop on the bottom level (riverwalk). We arrived on a Saturday right about noon & it was busy. It was a bit loud only because it is small & there were some larger groups of people. However, we were seated immediately & asked what we would like to drink with water being provided very quickly. We had the taco salad with seasoned beef, which was huge & easily shareable. The pico, guacamole, salsa & any requested dressing served on the side. The cheeseburger was really good, perfectly cooked & filling; the fries were hot, fresh, very tasty. We were seated along the wall due to all window tables being occupied at the time we arrived. If you can request a window table, it would be worth the wait & recommended. Overall, a solid 4. The service was great, very friendly & generous portions. read more

Came here for dinner tonight as this is our favorite place for prime rib. They told us it would be about a 50 minute wait with only 7 tables actually seated, said okay, ended up waiting over an hour and a half. Meanwhile the entire time, out of the 30ish tables they had, they only had about 7-8 sat the whole time. I felt so bad for the hostess because she had to deal with all the people waiting and saying she had to wait for permission to seat people. To top it off, a larger party came after we did and told them they were in a hurry and they sat them. When we finally got seated, it was us and two other parties, absolutely ridiculous. The cherry on top of the fiasco, the prime rib was so tough we struggled to cut it with the knife. Let's just say we will be finding another place to eat when we are in town. Oh my gosh this place is SO GOOD!!! We got the Salmon Salad for $17.99 and the 2 of us can't finish it!! HUGE tender perfect piece of salmon!!! We asked for Caesar dressing with the apples on the side (so there's our dessert!!!) and Parmesan cheese, so it was a perfect Caesar salad with salmon! Heaven! Salmon perfectly grilled. The place itself is a small, unremarkable greasy spoon type of place. This actually is the type of thing I look for when I go on a trip. I favor quiet out of the way options to eat, even better if it is vintage or been around awhile. The food was what I expected it to be, nothing spectacular yet fulfilling. Simple is refreshing sometimes. Some things were a little more expensive than I wanted it to be- for example the upcharge to garlic fries was to the tune of $2.99. Its just fries with garlic seasoning and even fancier places don't charge that. The saving grace was that everything else on the menu was reasonably priced. First off, I have to say thank you so much to Chris, our server. He was able to accommodate a party of 12 , with a fast, fun and friendly attitude, very knowledgeable of the menu. I know that my family was a little hectic, and he was able to get all orders in a quickly time fashion. Our drinks were always refilled and generous with the napkins and sauces. I highly recommend the New York steak strip. It was so delicious everybody around the table was saying how delicious the food was especially the burgers here. The place was clean and over looks the river, with cute little cows all over the place. Overall this place has the best customer service that I've seen so far in Laughlin. We have made it a ritual with friends to eat at the Chuckwagon Saturday night for their Prime Rib.imagine having a juicy cut of medium rare prime rib with either chowder or salad. Also fully loaded baked potato and unbelievable sautéed mixed vegetables. The waiter knew our drinks every time we came in with excellent prompt service. The setting is overlooking the river watching the boats go by. Then the desert take home large to feed two people but that was a month ago it would have been five stars. A week ago we went same waiter ordered the same prime rib except this wasn't prime rib, the cut had no fat or outer layer like a ribeye has it was a round no marble not juicy slice of eye round roast. The piece wasn't tender, the mixed vegetables were so so. Service was great when asked for the large desert the waiter explained portions are now smaller but the same $10 and the restaurant was cutting back. You can't charge patrons for prime rib when it's eye round roast. I hope the owners read this you had a good thing why change, example Red Lobster and Cracker Barrel tried to change and it cost them a lot. Be smart sell what you advertise. read more

Probably the best burger I've ever eaten! It was like a home made, by my mom, perfectly cooked hamburger patty! I went with a no frills burger and fries and was very happy with my choice. Yelp has done it again in helping us find a great hole-in-the-wall gem! Our first time in Laughlin & we were looking for lunch. We were debating between Chuckwagons & Bumbleberry's. Since it's Taco Tuesday, concensus was to come here. We were so glad that we did! There was a great extensive menu for Taco Tuesday. Our server, Angie was the sweetest! She made very excellent recommendations. Their head chef's personal recipes, made from scratch tacos! Husband opted for the Seafood taco. Since they were also known for their burgers, I decided to order the mushroom burger. To get the best of both worlds, I shared my burger with husband & he shared one of his tacos with me! The burger was soooo perfect & satisfying! It hit me in the right spot! The seafood taco was very tasty as well! I enjoyed the taste of their aoili sauce. "Rene" was our server and she was charming, knowledgeable, and efficient. She upsold us on a few items (I had the chicken fried steak with eggs and it was smashing - crispy breading with hot gravy and biscuits!). I don't know the bartendrix's name, but she was sassy, blonde, and friendly, and claimed to make the best bloody marys on the river (Narrator: she did not lie).
