After unsuccessfully trying to place a reservation in multiple venues, Diane and I started our 2026 Cinco de Mayo quest from our Laughlin home headed to Oriol's in Bullhead City, Arizona. Then we noted that the restaurant was within 30 minutes of closing. So, we quickly diverted to El Charro in Bullhead City, only to learn that it, too, was about to close. So, I turned around and headed here, even though OpenTable reported that no time slots were available. I dropped Diane off before parking, and she easily scored a table here. In fact, hardly anyone was seated inside the restaurant, and it did not seem like a festive Mexican holiday at all. The Tuesday Night Menu was very limited, but I selected very tasty and smooth Stone Guacamole not prepared tableside but including tomatoes, White Onion, and jalapenos, to go with house-prepared salsa and spiced up Tortilla Chips. By request Diane received a complimentary basket of non-spicy Tortilla Chips, as well as a Kids Cheese Quesadilla. Somehow this filled her up. I, on the other hand, ordered a Southwest Beef Burrito with added beans inside, and Roja Sauce and Queso on top. The burro was large, but I finished it, along with more beans, and included rice. Everything tasted good and washed down well with Diet Pepsi. My sisters pork tacos were cold two. I did not eat my tacos. I made the server aware and she apologized. The server asked us if we wanted the fried ice cream, we thought it was complimentary because of the cold tacos, but it was not complimentary. The service was great...but the food is not. The Mexican food you expect it's more tex mex style and I had the beef enchiladas. The meat was well seasoned and tender but it looked like my plate was covered by a pound of cheese and I couldn't tell where my enchiladas were. And the rice and beans were pretty dry/bland on flavor. We also asked about a hibiscus drink, cool they don't have it but they also didn't have horchata?! The micheladas I would skip if you think about one here. The only things that's weird about this place is there is NO restroom inside the restaurant so you have to get up and go to the casino. So I finally decided to try this place out, I was greeted at the door and asked to sit at the bar which was completely empty at the time. Not long after I sat down a very pleasant woman brought me a huge basket of warm chips and two bowls of salsa. The chips were fresh and dusted with a chili lime salt, and the salsa was delicious. I ordered the build your own platter and a tall beer. The food came out ridiculously quickly which is usually a bad sign. My platter consisted of a red chili pork enchilada, a fish taco, and a so called Al pastor quesadilla. It also came with ranchero beans and rice, both of which were quite good. The enchilada was ok, but barely Luke warm, the quesadilla was an absolute joke, it was a small tortilla with some cheap yellow cheese and very dry al pastor, folded like a taco. The fish taco was so disappointing, the breading was soggy, and the fish was mushy not flaky. Overall the meal was a bit disappointing, but service was very good and the staff were very friendly. But I can't recommend this place for anything other than a beer or two and the complimentary chips and salsa. read more

Not going to make a long speech here. It was ok, not great. Prices are on par for what you would expect for a place inside a hotel in Laughlin. The jalapeño appetizer is really good though. He really just wanted 1 taco but we were told they don't serve "a la carte" items. So he opted for the appetizer quesadilla. I'm told the sauce that comes with it is "amazing". And we got more salsa and did not have to pay for it. They allowed us to split a meal without an up-charge as well. My only issue is the high price for the amount of food you get. (I specifically asked two times if this was made "fresh" and was told yes. I ordered the "hatch green Chile chicken" enchiladas (highly recommended by the waiter)... the big deal about these being the green Chile sauce (and the menu states "Tres Queso's").... there was MAYBE 2 teaspoons of green Chile sauce between the two enchiladas, (being no other sauce, they were dry, and basically no taste of green chiles) and maybe a spot of cheese, I tasted at one end of one enchilada. My friend ordered beef fajitas.... completely mediocre...they provided two "store-bought" tortilla's (dry, and not even warm) and when my friend asked for 2 more, there was an "up-charge" for them...... these dishes and 2 ice-teas, and the bill was over $75. We have been to this restaurant once two years ago and it was delicious. We had dinner there last night and it was not as we were remembered it two years ago. First off, we sat down at a table that we could feel was dirty with our hands and hadn't been wiped down properly as the surface was very sticky. After that, we ordered steak fajitas which the presentation was awful. The beans and rice were mixed together thrown in one bowl and then given the steak platter. No other sides like sour cream, cheese, pico, etc.. no honestly, if that is as bad as it got, we could've lived with that and maybe just not went back as excited as we were this time. But unfortunately, shortly after eating the steak fajita meal we receive food poisoning and we're both up all night sick to our stomachs. Sadly, Harrah's Casino in Laughlin doesn't have a lot of good food choices and this used to be one of them. read more
