We found this place on Yelp and it seemed perfect. From first walking in the door to a warm welcome and very nice staff to one of the best calzones I've ever had, this restaurant was perfect. Ignore the few reviews that talk about scratched tables and old furniture. Yes, it is an old building that has been serving great food for obviously a long time. Who care about older tables if it is clean and serviceable. The calzones are huge. On the advise of the waitress, we only ordered the medium to split and we could barely finish it. One star is too generous. We came in for supper at 7.00 pm - two and a half hours before closing. The place was nearly empty but the hostess was too engrossed in something - anything - except her job. She shouted something unintelligible so we chose our own seat. Our waitress was an equally engaged soul who looked way underage and had enough piercings that I thought she'd had an accident with a tackle box. Drink orders consisted of two waters and two iced tea with lemon. Our waitress said she didn't know if they had lemons and needed to go find out. She returned with a single tea and no water, apologizing "we only have enough tea for one glass." Seriously? At supper time??? Nope. This is definitely one of my favorite places to eat. Being from McDowell co., my family and I loved to eat at the Sterling Drive in. The owner is also from that area and she makes a Sterling Special even better than they do. The cranberry chicken salad is huge and tastes amazing. The prices are very reasonable and they treat their customers like family. If you have not tried this place, you definitely need to. Stopped in here for the first time after seeing so many cars in the parking lot. Family ordered Lasagna, Manicotti, Cheese pizza and a Greek salad First the Greek Salad was a 10 all fresh homemade dressing. Manicotti was a 10 the sauce was awesome it came with 3 large shells filled with cheese The lasagna was good but I give it a 8 just because of the meatiness I think every layer was meat not sure if they use recotta cheese in any layers maybe it was mixed into the meat but the Sauce was delicious. We were driving through WV to Ohio and wanted dinner from a non fast food restaurant. Casablanca is a Hidden treasure and very good! They used fresh cut vegetables in the salad. Their portions are very generous. Their calzones are excellent - cheesy and filling. Really nice service & a gem to visit. read more

The service was great the owner/ Cook was very nice as well and was generally interested in our happiness. I gave Casablanca a 4 because the Italian Nacho appetizer we ordered was soggy. When The waitress asked if we liked the nachos, I said less is more for the sauce and she said most people get the sauce to the side. This would have been good information up front. The salads that came with the meal was huge and tasty. The pizzas my daughter and her boyfriend ordered looked great and the meals my wife and I got were also great. I'm visiting Beaver for work and was looking for a quiet place to eat good food that was not a chain restaurant. I found reviews for Casablanca and decided to give it a try. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted and told to sit wherever I felt comfortable. I chose a booth in the corner and within a few minutes, a server approached me, greeted me again and took my drink order. Menus were already on the table. She brought back my drink and said she'd be back in a bit to take my order. After about 5 minutes, the server returned to take my order. I asked a few questions about items on the menu and then ordered a small Greek salad and a small Deluxe calzone. About 5-6 minutes later, my salad came out. It was a perfect size and the veggies were crisp and fresh. There was lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, kalamata, pepperoncini, and the best part, nice big cubes of feta cheese! It was delicious! The salad dressing was as tangy as to be expected and went well with the salty feta and Kalamata olives. 10 minutes or so later, my calzone came out, piping hot. It was bigger than I expected and stuffed with pepperoni, sausage, veggies, mozzarella and ricotta cheese. The crust was thin and crispy on the outside, tender inside. So so good! Throughout my entire meal, different servers would come over and check on me. All of the workers were very friendly and professional. All in all, a great meal. I highly recommend you try this place and plan on going back for another meal before I leave WV. read more

Amazing food! On our first trip there my friend got a calzone, I got the baked spaghetti with marinara and we both had side salads. The salad was fresh and a large portion. The entrées were so good. The calzone was served on I would guess a small sized pizza pan and the baked spaghetti was the best I have ever had. The staff were very friendly and made you feel like you were a regular. For this area, any skiers, tourists, or people passing by, this is the best pizza in town. I highly recommend the New York style pizza. They also have cheesy bread sticks that come out on a huge pizza dish that really hit the spot after a day on the slopes. We stopped here on the way back from skiing at about 8:40 on a Sunday night at thinking they closed at 10. They actually closed at 9:00 and we didn't realize that until we left and saw the hours on the door. They treated us so well! They never acted impatient and they honestly had every right to. The food was delicious as well. We had garlic knots with cheese that were wonderful and we all got different NY Style pizzas for dinner ... all delicious. Truth be told I would give the food 5 stars and the service on site 5 stars but they have messed up my to go and delivery orders by putting in the wrong items and delivering ice cold food an hour and a half late. I understand mistakes but when told about the mistakes I was met with an attitude once saying well you got what you ordered for the cold food and on the mix up I was not even contacted back.
