Kyle owns it now and was my cashier. He was so nice and friendly. This was my first time here and it was nice to see I could grab some non meat items too like celery and carrots! I did go for chuck roast which was absolutely perfect! I try not to be too preachy in my reviews but I would much rather have the quality from here and give my money to Kyle and his workers than for it to go to the big box stores. We went here looking to stock up on meats for the deep freeze, and wanted to get them from a local place rather than a big box store. There is a big selection of tons of different cuts. We were able to get a few things for the week and and new seasonings .The butcher is extremely knowledgable and friendly. Aside from our personal needs, this is definitely a place we would stop now to get burgers and BBQ/Cookout needs. It's right on the main strip in Elkhorn and lots of parking. read more

When we want a quality selection of meats from chicken to pork & beef , Rick's is where we shop. The butchers are always very helpful and the staff so friendly. Its like going into the local grocery when I was growing up. The quality is great and I have never had a bad experience with my selection. Won't buy my hamburger or steaks anywhere else! read more

I'm disappointed to have to do this, but I can't bring myself to shop here any longer. I was in there a week ago, none of the employees wore a mask. I just went with it since they were technically 6 feet away. Today, I was about to walk In and noticed none of the customers I saw were wearing masks this time. When craving meats of any kind, Rick's Meats is worth the drive out to Elkhorn. Rick's Meats looks like a little grocery store from the outside, but when you walk in, you see in the background, a whole meat counter! Not only that, but you can almost always custom order the kinds of meat and cut you want. We always get our short ribs from there because when we make kalbi at home, we need the meat super thin and Rick's is pretty much one of the only places that will cut if for us at a quarter of an inch. The BEST thing about Rick's Meats is the meat of course! Tonight, we made loco moco's and the hamburger, of which they made into patties for us, was so delicious, it almost melts in your mouth! The meat is just so tender and tasty! I'm not sure what they do to it, but it's really really good! Now, I can't really say anything about their short ribs, steak, etc. I'm a weirdo and don't eat that type of texture of meat. Hopefully one of my other yelp friends can do those kinds of meat justice :) If you need anything other than meat, they sell that here too. They have a small, but good selection of groceries AND, they sell their own "homemade" things such as bacon, sausages, meatloaf, and other things that are awesome. Customer service is always important to any business, and Rick's is definitely a place where you feel welcome. They're so helpful and they try really hard to get you what you're looking for. If you have not ever made the trek out to Rick's you should. At least once! I'm telling you, it's pretty good. read more

Best prime rib ever! Boneless prime rib is a Christmas tradition, but we were a little concerned about where to get a good cut of meat since we are new to the Omaha area. We heard Rick's was a good place so decided to give them a try. The boneless prime rib from Rick's was nicely trimmed with only the slightly marbled heart of the meat. I roasted at 450 degrees for 15 minutes and then turned the oven to 250 degrees until the thermometer registered the desired internal temperature. We literally cut the meat with our forks--it was so tender. In my years of preparing prime rib, this was the best ever. When guests asked how we prepared the meat to get it so tender, I suggested that they start by going to Rick's to get the meat. read more
