I never wait more than 5-10 minutes with no appointment, even when they are very busy. The quality of their pedicures is better too. My gel pedicures last twice as long from Casca compared to other places I have gone. The space is also beautiful. This includes the bar, manicure, and pedicure spaces. I wasn't a big fan of the Casca experience. Disclaimer that I'm not a nails person and this was a rare occasion. I had hoped for a relaxing, fun time getting pampered but I was first met with a host who asked what services I was getting and when I asked for guidance, gave me a menu and sat me down. I wasn't addressed for 15-20 mins past my appointment time. When she came back I tried to ask questions but she avoided eye contact and walked away. Eventually she came and took my "order" and asked if I wanted to buy a $14 cocktail. I said no thanks (which seemed to disgruntle her) and was left alone again for 15-20 mins. Eventually I flagged her down and asked her for an ETA (since my apt was scheduled 40 mins earlier) and she replied, "I don't know." One of the hail artists gave her instructions and another artists did take me, but in a separate room from my party. That artist was fine though seemed to rush through the service. She clipped my nails but didn't shape them, so they're pretty slaty and jagged in places. She painted them and moved onto my pedicure which was fine but again pretty brief. Someone else was paying for me, or else I would have been a tad annoyed with that. It was definitely not "ultimate relaxation." Had a really nice pedicure experience! They are getting a bar and offered some martinis to customers to try before they roll out the drinks. It was delicious and the pedicure is nice too. My nails are hit or miss. Sometimes they turn out great and sometimes they chipped or didn't last. The inconsistency is the reason I don't go here for my nails anymore just pedicures. The nail technician today rushed through my daughter's nails, pushed her cuticles too far back and didn't clean them up until we asked. One of her fingers is bleeding, and the nail polish is uneven. I went in, without an appointment as soon as they opened. The staff were very accommodating and kind. The only thing that felt "off" was that as soon as I was seated, I was given a bar menu that had no "breakfast friendly" snacks on it. I do have to say, though. The next time I come, I'm bringing my 20 year old daughter so that she can drive me home. The cocktails all sounded delicious! I went in for an acrylic fill and a pedicure. Both were fantastic! Severely overpriced! They charge an outsized premium fee if you use a Credit or Debit card, which is unacceptable, especially since they authorize EXPECT a Tip. And, they are too slow. No one wants to spend over an HOUR for a basic Gel Manicure. When Gels, Dips, whatever, debuted, it was sold as a quick, but long lasting feature of manicured nails. Aside from anything upscale or with specialty designs, way too much time is spent in the chair. And don't schedule a Mani/Pedi--you could be there HOURS- which is ridiculous. So incredibly disappointed and waste of money. The massage chair barely worked and I told them this as soon as I sat down but was never offered to be moved to a different chair. My water was cold which I told them this as well and everything else they brought out except the hot wax was cold. Even the hot stone massage was done with cold stones. I told the tech and she ignored me and then was rude when I asked for my toes to be fixed. She didn't even massage me just wiped the scrub and lotions on my skin. Even when she did the stone massage it was just rubbing them up and down a little. No effort given at all. My nail tech, Amanda, was quiet, polite, kind, gentle, and professional. The salon has an upscale, glamorous look, with chandeliers, marble-look floors, and velvet chairs in the waiting room. It is roomy, with one side devoted to manicures and the other for pedicures. There are large-screen TVs with music videos playing (not too loud). When it was time to pay, they charged her $95. The manager even commented on how expensive it was but charged her anyway since she was a kid alone. I went into Casca Nail Boutique for dip powder on my nails and gel polish pedicure. I received phenomenal customer service from the minute I walked in until the minute I left. Nails were done to perfection and the pedicure far exceeded my expectations. The complimentary cocktail was one of the best drinks I've ever had and the personality of the host was beyond exceptional. This place is amazing! Clean and classy! Prices are about $15 higher for the combined services than I typically pay but I have to say, it is well worth it! The service, product, and quality far exceeds any nail salon I've been to in the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon/Maryville area. I had high hopes based on other reviews but was ultimately underwhelmed by their products. (Changing salons because the other one had rapidly declining quality) The salon is beautiful and everyone was very nice but I have now had the dip powder color on 2 different nails chip and/or wear away after just a few days. First visit (ever) and one finger had a decent sized chunk of the color chip away after 6 days; went in for repair and decided to just pay for a new dip color. Second visit was for the fix/color correction and now, after 6 more days, the color on a different finger has worn away at the top edge. The services were performed by 2 different people and I don't do any heavy/dirty work with my hands (I'm a teacher) so I'm not sure if it's the products themselves or just how they apply but I've never had this happen before anywhere else. read more
