The owner, Scott Dickinson, claims to be a Christian, but he does not walk the talk. He is abrasive, harsh, and unethical. The way they run IOP groups is so boring, and the curriculum looks like a 3rd grader wrote it. They believe the worst about the clients and all gossip with one another about people in the community. The office is in an old house, and the doors have large gaps underneath. With the hardwood floors, nothing is confidential. HIPAA is totally being violated! Do not support this organization. They hire trainees and pay them crap so they suck and the door is constantly revolving with new employees. They also have an office in Shelton. I would not go there either as Scott Dickinson, the horrible owner and supposed "Christian," owns that location as well.

I have had such a lovely experience at Olympia Therapy. I worked with Katrina Swenson for several…read moremonths on my anxiety problems, and she gave very pragmatic and goal-oriented advice. Her calm, understanding demeanor and approach to therapy helped me immensely, and she helped me feel very comfortable sharing personal information. Because of an insurance snafu, I ended up with a large balance owed after our sessions. Olympia Therapy was very understanding about the financial challenge this presented and did not pressure me to pay my balance off immediately. They offered me a payment plan, and did not send my account to collections after it took me many months to pay it off. When I eventually came in to make the payment, the receptionist showed genuine concern that I should continue in therapy if I felt like I still needed it. I told her that I could not afford to pay Katrina's rate with my lousy insurance and high deductible, and so she gave me options of other therapists at the practice that charged a lower rate. The people at Olympia Therapy have been nothing but kind, and with the new information, I think I will try another therapist there that charges a lower rate. I cannot recommend Olympia Therapy enough!
