May, 2025 update…read more Wolf River did the site survey in March. The survey was quick, efficient and confirmed what the consultant had planned in her initial proposal. They installed my 14.4 kw system the first week of April. The installers were amazing. It was done in a single day with a crew of installers and an electrician who walked me through everything, even the app we use to monitor the system. The WPS inspector was out today, installed the Net Meter and turned on the system. We are now generating our own electricity. From initial consultation to a fully functioning system in under three months and at a cost that is just about what I currently pay WPS for "traditional" electrical system. I really cannot say enough good things about working with Wolf River. I am sorry that others have had less positive experiences, and I can only speak for my experience and it has been nothing less than terrific.

Things have gone from bad to worse with Wolf River electric. I started the process with them in…read moreAugust. They insisted I needed to get financing for them to access my garage. They told me there was absolutely no financial risk of the project didn't go through. After months of inconsistent/conflicting answers, they told me that they had major concerns about my garage. (Other solar companies have recommended a new roof but that my garage is structurally sound.) So I asked WR to cancel the project. Now I'm being told that I'm on the hook for closing costs of almost $1200. Sure, I'll take responsibility that I didn't see that I'm the contract but WR told me several times there was no financial risk of cancelling. Trying to work with customer service to resolve this situation has also been a nightmare. They are not taking responsibility for any of this. Will update if any sort of resolution is offered. Absolute nightmare to work with. Terrible communication. Inconsistent and false information.

He had great ideas for our outdoor lighting solution and did a nice job replacing our panel. About 16 months after services were performed, our outdoor photocell went bad. First attempt at contacting him was ignored, so after a week I tried again and he responded saying he'd be here on November 18th to replace the faulty photocell. He never showed up, and I have made several text and email attempts with no response. Our outdoor lights have been burning for six months now, so I will have to replace it myself. I had an overhead kitchen light fixture that wouldn't turn on from a 3-gang dimmable light switch,…read moreeven after changing the bulb to an LED dimmable one. The company sent out a supposedly trained technician (at no initial cost) who showed me with a light meter that two of the wires in the gang had power, while the one to the overhead light did not. His initial estimate was over $400; I requested a lower estimate, and after consulting with his boss, he came down to $378. That seemed very high for work that he thought would take about 10 minutes. I had an independent electrician take a look; he tested the wires in the switch, and said THERE WAS POWER! He then tightened the light bulb in the fixture, and it worked fine. The Plugz tech either didn't know what he was doing, or he was fabricating the problem.
