Found this place on a Groupon, offering a couples everything basically for an extremely aggressive price. We were hesitant, thinking there was no way we would get so much for such a low amount, but we had a romantic staycation and figured we'd give it a try. Park on the street behind the building. It says they offer free parking but I couldn't actually figure out which lot was theirs. Thankfully there was plenty of street spots. At first entrance, the manager was very nice and hospitable. It is well decorated with cool Asian art and it smells so nice and has soothing music. Once inside we were taken by a man and a woman to a two massage table room and told to change into our robes. We weren't sure if it was massage first so we waited for them to come back and lead us to the steam room. I loved the steam room! The two of us could be in there together and there was a relaxing eucalyptus spray. They brought us ice cold water while inside and we got to sit in there, sweating out toxins and stretching for approximately 20 minutes. Next we were lead to different beds, that were closer to the ground, where we got all of the following: 10 minute foot massage (ouch! Oh it hurts so good!) Additional time spent on legs, shins, calves and ankles with special attention to my Achilles! 10 - 15 minute head and face massage (why had I never had this before?) Aloe vera or something nice face mask Tea for 10 minutes to sit and relax It was really nice and I kept thinking oh no, that's all we are getting....but no..... Then we returned to our private room together again, where we received close to an hour full body massage. And these people did not go easy. It hurt, don't get me wrong, nothing like having someone's elbows dig into your back but he worked out my back, neck and back of shoulders so much I was in awe. I wish they'd have done more on the quadriceps but it was okay because I was jello. Leaving, we tipped one person together for both. We probably should have specified that it was for both of them because then the other guy came looking for a tip but I think they figured it out in the end. It's hard with a couples thing because the BF was paying and he was in charge of the money, not me. The next day I released a tremendous amount of water from my body. I realized that my muscles are extremely overworked and they needed the TLC very bad. Next time I see that place on Groupon again, I will absolutely call and book. This is our second time visiting this spa and again, we had the most wonderful experience! I cannot reiterate how awesome this place is! First, let me explain the whole visual experience of this place. When you first walk in, you are greeted with a friendly smile by the lady at the front desk. Next you see that the decorator took their time to curate all the unique antiques that are on display. To think they took that much time to create this atmosphere says a lot about the owner of this spa! They obviously wanted to create a special experience for their customers! It reminds me of a museum! Anyway, My two daughters and I were trying to decide what to do for our girls day! We decided to all get massages since we had such a good experience last time at this place. When we arrived, our masseuses were already waiting for us and we went right in. We opted for the full body massage. They placed us in the same room so we could make small talk while we received our massages. I asked my masseuse to go gentle on me because I like the soft touch and he asked me several times if he was applying too much or enough pressure until it was the right amount. He took the time to adjust himself which I appreciated so much. The room smelled so nice and I felt calm and relaxed the whole time, which is hard to do because I'm a high strung person! Haha. After our massages, we asked if we could take a peek into the other rooms because I had a feeling they were going to be just as beautiful as the room we were in and the lady at the front desk took us around to the rooms that were not being used and showed us. Wow, they were magnificent! The paintings on the walls were stunning! I cannot tell you how much we enjoyed our spa day! We have introduced this place to several of our friends and they all loved it so much. My friends and I are planning a huge girls spa day next month! All 5 of us! I cannot wait! My friends and I decided to try out this spot and opted for the Harmony of Bliss Package. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a serene and beautiful atmosphere, setting the stage for a day of relaxation. As we began our services, we were instructed to disrobe, leaving only our towels on, which initially caught me off guard as the website indicated bathing suits were required for the jacuzzi. We were then led to a sauna and treated to champagne, which was a nice touch. However, upon returning to the jacuzzi, we were given cold water to drink, signaling that bathing suits were unnecessary. Transitioning from the sauna to the jacuzzi proved overwhelming due to the intense heat on our bodies, prompting us to cut our time short. Additionally, noticing a sign indicating the jacuzzi's filter was overdue by three days further deterred us from lingering. Following the jacuzzi, we enjoyed our one-hour massages, during which I was particularly impressed by the skill of my masseuse. The final part of our visit involved a foot soak, scrub, and facial, though unfortunately, the workers attending to us conversed throughout, detracting from the experience. Despite our package stating the option to choose between a steam sauna or a Himalayan salt sauna, we were not given the choice and would have preferred the latter. Furthermore, we did not receive the healing beads bracelet that was supposed to accompany the package. In terms of facilities, the locker room was small and cramped, especially when sharing with another group. Although efforts were made to avoid multiple groups being together, it was not always feasible. Parking was also challenging, with only four free spots available. We ended up paying for parking behind the building, which cost $12 for three hours. Overall, I am unlikely to return to this establishment. The services felt overpriced, and my friends and I agreed that Yu Spa in Kearny Mesa offered a cleaner and more spacious environment. read more

Back today again, I want another massage today so we headed back here. We got the couples package with one hour massage and half hour foot with some kinda detox, we both enjoyed this massage I got Daisy, (Jennifer was booked) and she was very good and the other was Alice which was great too as I was told. Daisy was polite and smiley took us back to a couples room. If you have not been here the decor is amazing. The massage was fantastic, deep pressure where I needed and a softer touch where it was more sore. We had the best 90 minute massage and a detox after. As always I found my place to go and a choice (Daisy or Jennifer) both are great, and might try Alice next time. I had a great experience here, the place is so different than I have had in the past, outside doesn't reflect how it looks in the inside. The massage was by far the best I've had in a long time. Was tense and stressed out from work and all of that was washed way. I'm glad I was this place. What I asked for was what I got. I like deep tissue and can handle a lot of pressure, the therapist knew right where to work out the knots. I also wanted some stretching and that helped out a lot. I am so thankful for a place like this. I was out in Hillcrest had a drink and was about to head home when I saw this Place. A M A Z I N G! The décor in this place is well as I said amazing but not just that, I walked in and was thinking about coming another day, I was greeted by the guy in the front, he was very nice, told me about all their offers and asked if I wanted to take a look at the place. The place is filled with Chi and Zen, Very clean, Beautiful meditation Music radiates thru the place, with Hugh I mean Hugh Waterfalls in the hallway, I was Like WOW. So you get this waterfall ambiance in the back round with your massage. Been to a few other places and they seem to be more about getting you in and out as fast as they can and not caring about your experience but more about your money. I was showed the back where they have a Jacuzzi and body scrub table, I will be back for that! After hearing all the options I decided to stay and get a Swedish full body massage for an hour and half for only $65 really $65. I sit on a computer all day long resting my forearms on the edge of my desk so I get a lot of ache in my arms and hands and Michelle made me walk out felling like 1,000,000.00 Bucks! UPDATE: 01/21 I was back in town for a few days and decided to stop by Cascade Spa again. This place has quickly become a must-visit for me whenever I'm back. It's so perfect to decompress after a long plane ride and for the value, the prices are unbeatable! I got a massage with Eric and he was fantastic -- the right amount of pressure and really worked on all the knots. I also got to soak in sauna this time which really put the cherry on top a great treat yourself. ** There are no better words to describe Cascade Spa other than WOW. The moment you walk in, it feels like you've been transported to a different place. The decor in this place is GORGEOUS -- filled with asian antiques, hand painted murals, and even waterfalls??? if it's your first time, definitely ask for a tour!! It feels like you're walking into a museum! Each room has a different mural, there are vines hanging from the roof, a GORGEOUS dragon chandelier, and so much more. I went in for an hr massage + lavender sea salt body scrub and absolutely loved it. Totally worth every penny. The massage was exactly what I wanted, perfect amount of pressure, and you can even ask them to focus on a specific spot a bit more. The masseuse I had was so kind and fantastic! I had the BEST Valentine's Day EVER they took great care of us. They had Chocolate covered strawberries, cookies, Champagne everyone was so nice and friendly the place looks so small but it goes way back in and upstairs too i didn't think this place was that big. I lave how the place looks it is very pretty and it helps set the perfect mood for our massage. We got their couples package and it was Amazing. We both we stressed from the week and this hit the spot. We stuttered out in the Sauna had some fruit tea that was very yummy. had a foot scrub massage then had a very strong deep tissue massage that i so needed. the pressure was very firm and had a great technique i will be back and get the same thing. The two asian staff we very friendly and asked if the pressure was good and got us water right when i was thirsty. We thought that they we going to be to busy or late but everything went along perfectly. I'm a huge Jasmine fan and the place smelled so good. The front desk guy Curtis was also very accommodating and funny he made made the whole final experience a good one, he made us roasted marshmellow and made us laugh quite a bit he talked with all the customers and was very smiley. I now know where we will be going for our massages and now it will be our Valentines go to spot. I recommend this place to everyone it is truly a hidden Gem in Hillcrest and San Diego!
