I'm used to getting massages at actual spas so this was a horrifyingly terrible experience. I scheduled a Swedish massage with hot stones for myself and a deep tissue with hot stones for my husband. We when arrived, we had to wait 10 minutes which wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't for the employees whispering and peaking around the corner at us while we were in the lobby. They put us in a room together which we didn't ask for, like a couples massage, they just assumed. I asked for the masseuse to be more gentle when she started and I'm not sure if she understood me well because she wasn't that gentle. The worst part was the hot stones. They were too hot for the masseuse the handle but they tried to put them on us anyway. We had to have them remove it on our bill because they were too hot to put them on anybody or anything! They even left burn marks on my back. The spa is also covered in dust, the fish tank is disgustingly filthy, and had a musty smell in the rooms. They also refused to give a refund for the horrible service that was provided. The owner and employees will not take responsibility for their actions and inactions (see the owners response below). I have also updated my pictures with timestamps of the burn in question. I still have the mark 2 weeks later and it didn't show up right away, before we left the spa. I am also not from California nor do I live there to have the time to go back. I would never recommend this place.

You are greeted with beautiful decor.

Fast forward to Jan 2026... Oh Cascade Spa, how we've missed you!!! Came here once again to spend quality time with my nearest and dearest just because...every month should be Galentine's Day, LOL! We enjoyed the Jade Package this time, which is similar to the Ruby Package we did last year, except there's a whole body exfoliating salt scrub. Give it a try, your skin will feel baby soft! Same wonderful service with friendly staff directing you where to go next...totally impressed with their efficiency, and we didn't feel rushed at all throughout the treatments. Thank you Cascade Spa, we're already looking forward to the next time! CHEERS till then...

Very disappointed by this place. PRO: the place is heavily decorated with unique, dark, Asian furniture and items. CONS: no relaxing music, no heated pad, massage felt rushed and my skin felt like it was being tenderized and moved up and down with no purpose. Masseuse doesn't speak a word of English, couldn't explain to her how to slow down or adjust pressure. Very disappointing.

Been here twice . The first time was in 2021? And it was nice but the rush you so no time for you to feel relax The second time, we assumed maybe if we went before they closed, they wouldn't rushed us . It was the same . We haven't been back since . My only favorite thing are the cute little sandals they give you to wear . Wish I could take em home. Don't forget to grab some tea ! That is the best part as well

I came here with my mom for an afternoon of massages and it was delightful! From the steam room to the foot massages to the full body massage, they treat you like royalty and it's such a relaxing experience. Tip: parking is tricky so make sure you park nearby in this lot: 3841 Fourth Ave, San Diego, CA 92103.

I really needed a massage so I started looking for spas on yelp. I was able to find some good packages at cascade spa. I was a bit skeptical about going into the town because of parking, but I decided to give it a shot anyway. As soon as I reached, to my surprise, cascade spa had reserve parking. This was super helpful. As soon as we entered the spa, we felt like we were in another world. They have some really beautiful wellness themed decor. While we waited for our appointment, we were served some complimentary champagne. The wait time was not a lot. The rooms were relatively clean. The massage itself was very good. My masseuse did not speak a lot, this did not matter a lot to me. It was truly a relaxing experience. I liked how everything was efficient overall. Next time I'm hoping to try a package with most services bundled. The prices are affordable, and the service is good. If you are looking to get pampered, I highly recommend this spa.

Cascade has not disappointed me yet! My husband and I have done the Couples Staycation package & Couples Hot Stone Massages individually. Both priced extremely fair and honestly you won't find it much cheaper compared to a lot of spas out here in San Diego. For the quality of massage, relaxing aura, and friendliness from front desk and masseuses, Cascade has been really lovely. Another plus for me - Alan also listened to me when I asked for medium/not hard massage and was extremely respectful with sheet placement which I appreciated so much!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! My partner and I booked the couples staycation and we had a relaxing time. Staff was helpful and friendly. Can't wait to come back!

We enjoyed our jacuzzi time, body scrub and polish and 60 min body massage. I felt like I was in Asia because of the beautiful, authentic decor inside from the waiting area to the hallways in the back. It is a big place and it kept on going. The employees were accommodating, professional and kind. We got the CASCADE SPA SPECIAL PACKAGE: JACUZZI AND BODY MASSAGE 110 min: $175 I recommend it!

    Dirty floors

We've been coming to Cascade Spa for a few years now. The massages themselves are good, that's the main reason we've continued to return. However, cleanliness has been a consistent concern. The showers are often visibly dirty, with hair and debris on the floors. The showers don't appear to be cleaned regularly, the walls are dirty, and basic amenities are frequently missing. On our last visit there was no body soap or conditioner, only an almost empty bottle of shampoo and no hand soap available, which is unacceptable in any facility, especially a spa!! The shower / locker area tend to smell musty, and the furniture looks worn and not well maintained. The steam room also appears poorly cleaned and gives the impression of infrequent sanitation. Considering the prices are not inexpensive and the spa is consistently busy, it's reasonable to expect a much higher standard of hygiene and upkeep. With proper cleaning protocols and attention to maintenance, this could easily be a 5-star experience. I'll look for a better / cleaner spa!

    So peaceful in here!

We both enjoyed our time! Parking: They have their own parking lot, though it's a bit smaller. We booked on a Saturday appointment at 12pm and there were only a few spots left. They only have one entrance, so they don't connect from the main parking lot behind-- just a heads up. Price: $100 for 90 minutes or $95 if cash-- which is a great price. We signed up for the $10 discount for first timers and put the code in when we booked online. But upon check in, they told us that the code only works for Monday-Thursday, which was disappointing since that wasn't listed anywhere on their website nor was it mentioned when we booked. Experience: We were in a couples room and there seemed to be a handful of rooms available. Shout out to Polly and Sara for being our therapists! They did a great job and they really dug in my problem areas. I enjoy medium to hard pressure and Polly delivered. What stood out to me the most was that after being on our back, they put Peppermint essential oil on our neck and shoulder, which felt amazing! At any other massages, my sinuses are usually so stuffy when I flip on my back but the essential oil cleared everything up. I'd like to point out however that the walls are very thin. So when people walked down the hall, you can hear them talking. Afterwards, they served tea and water. Overall: We enjoyed our first time getting Thai massage and we'd consider coming back again!

Such a great wellness experience!…read more I'm so glad I found this place! I booked a 60-minute deep tissue massage and had such a relaxing experience from start to finish. Andy did my massage, and he was incredibly talented. He really knew what he was doing and worked out so much tension, but what I appreciated just as much was how respectful and professional he was throughout the entire appointment. I felt completely comfortable and taken care of. After the massage, I was able to spend unlimited time in their wellness space, which has several different rooms with different wellness benefits. It was such a nice way to extend the experience instead of feeling like you have to leave as soon as your massage is over. They're also opening hot tub and cold plunge rooms in September, which I'm already excited to come back for! The location is super convenient, right where Mission Hills meets Hillcrest, and probably one of my favorite parts - there's parking! I'll definitely be back. It looked like such a cool, unique place, and it was only a few minutes from my apartment. I loved it so much that I brought a friend back today for another massage, and he was very impressed by how great his massage was. Parking is street parking, so it can be a little tough to find a spot. However, there is a paid parking lot directly across from the spa, which is a convenient option. We each booked a 60-minute deep tissue massage. One thing I really loved is that after your service, you can pay an additional $50 per person to enjoy all of the amenities. If you don't book a service, the day pass is $100. From the moment you arrive, the experience feels different. They take your shoes and give you slippers to wear throughout the spa. They also give you a top and shorts to put on. You have a key to a locker that you wear on your wrist. It's super convenient where you just tap it against the lock. There's a heated wooden floor and a cozy lounge area upstairs, and they serve what might be the best tea I've ever had. I definitely lost count of how many cups I drank! The massages are downstairs, while all of the amenities and different wellness rooms are upstairs. Since it was our first visit, we did the "first-time focus" wellness journey, which allowed us to experience each room. They have two different formats for the curated wellness journey, one for visual learners and one that is written. I thought this was such a cool concept. It even tells you how long you should spend in each room, and each room has information explaining the physical, mental, and emotional benefits. There's also a guided wellness experience you can participate in. *Forest Room: This room is adorable. You choose a stone that you feel drawn to, and it guides you through focusing on an intention. *Cold Room: Unfortunately, this room wasn't as cold as it should have been. We were told it should drop to around 60°, but we arrived around 11 AM and by 1 PM it was still around 68°. The room itself is super cute and has a cloud-like atmosphere though. *Himalayan Salt Room: This was probably one of my favorites because it really helped my sinuses. There's also a massage chair where you can relax while enjoying the room. *Red Light Room: They provide protective glasses for your eyes, and there's a bin where you place them afterward so they can be cleaned and reused. There are also Mugwort and Mud Rooms, and I loved that the rooms have hourglasses with different time increments. It's such a simple detail, but it encourages you to put your phone away, stop checking the time, and actually be present. There's also a snack area stocked with individual packets of Asian snacks, Chex Mix, nuts, and lemon water. The dressing room area is also really nice. They have showers with multiple showerheads, which made for a very relaxing shower after the spa experience. They provide body wash, shampoo, and conditioner along with toothbrushes, blow dryers, deodorant, and pretty much everything you need to get ready afterward. Another really unique feature is the intention wall. You can write something you want to manifest and post it on the wall. At the end of the month, they take the intentions down and hold a little ceremony of sorts to help manifest them. I thought that was such a beautiful touch. And the deep tissue massage was absolutely phenomenal. My therapist used great pressure and really focused on pressure points, leaving me feeling incredibly relaxed afterward. Overall, Karma was an incredible experience and such a perfect reset. From the thoughtful wellness journey and unique rooms to the amazing massage, tea, snacks, and relaxing atmosphere. There are so many little details that make this place special.

I highly recommend this massage spa, go and let Andy relax you!

People like this that not only do a good job But care are hard to find and I would say go because she's the best and they're the best.

She is a true healer, and is very gifted in treating lingering injuries. I've been grappling with arthritis in my hands, and have an old shoulder injury that keeps dragging me down. Itzel does great pressure point work and also active stretches that have been very beneficial to my healing. She is professional, courteous, and superhumanly strong! I'm very grateful to have exceptional care at the Knotstop with Itzel and Ryan! Pro tip, treat yourself to the membership. I get the 90 minute massage deal for $135 for deep tissue, you can't beat it! Also, for a more chill experience, check out when you check in! That way you don't have to go to the front desk twice. I square up at the front desk when I check in, that way, I don't have to go back after my massage and deal with any details. I always tip my Massage Therapist in cash after the appointment.
