From start to finish, working with Adolfo was reassuring, engaging, and fun. After describing what I wanted - healthy appetizers and noshes in a public park for 30, 40, or 50 people, he sent photos of exactly what I wound up ordering, after my cousins and I studied his menu in detail, inside and out. He had me at those photos - the skewers with rich-colored dressings and edible orchids, mini-sandwiches framed in fragrant Rosemary, delicate looking shrimp rolls, the bright crudité platter not only looked gorgeous, but everyone raved at how fresh and delicious it all was. Adolfo simply made me look good - best afternoon meal I never cooked. After seeing those photos it was easy to pick a table cloths - white - his platters did all the talking. To compliment the apps, he provided a lovely selection of soft drinks - juices, iced tea, lemonade, sparkling and plain water - chilled on arrival. As my number of guests increased, he suggested what I might want to add and what to stay away from. I greatly appreciated the benefit of his experience. I am terrible at making decisions. Adolfo never pushed me, but when I asked for his suggestion, he gave it, for which I was so grateful. Dealing with me is not easy - stressed, perfectionist, indecisive on a good day, much less as the date of this difficult event drew closer. But he hung in there, editing our contract as the order changed, editing anything I suggested. He was quick to reply, and welcomed me to call, text or email with questions. On the day of the event he was there right on time, with a text in advance to let me know he was on his way. This was just supposed to be a "drop off" but he spent a lot of time with us setting up, including tips on how to make the table look all the more beautiful, with platters arranged at different heights, using the nice packaging in which he delivered them. The trays he uses are beautiful, as are the matching tongs and spoons. He made our afternoon "snack" in a NYC public park absolutely elegant. He even posted little signs in front of each of the platters describing ingredients - something every vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, paleo, kosher foodie would surely appreciate. Anyone who is investing in catering is concerned about making a nice gathering. My guest count ultimately grew to 80, and he didn't flinch - whether 35 or 80 he showed me the same patience, and I went into the event feeling confident about the food. I was delighted that it looked and tasted as beautiful and delicious as the photos indicated. I highly recommend Adolfo. He approached my gathering with a fun, exciting, and very respectful spirit, making me feel like I was his only customer, though I knew he had others this past springtime Saturday. My man Adolfo is awesome, awesome, and awesome! We had him cater our wedding on July 7, 2018 in Manhattan upper west side. He was super considerate from the beginning. We wanted something Asian, Mexican, as well as American. Adolfo was able to come up with a menu that fulfills all these expectations and are very reasonably priced. After a few email and phone exchanges, he offered us to do a free tasting! The tasting was terrific. Whenever we cannot decide between two dishes, Adolfo offered us to do half and half for our buffet dinner. After we paid the deposit, Adolfo stopped by our venue twice to check it carefully in order to get prepared for our big day. On the wedding day, everything went smoothly and all our guests are extremely satisfied with the food, especially my aunt who is extremely picky :) Adolfo also decorated the food nicely. Food names were written on cute chalkboards :) Waitresses from Adolfo's team are also super considerate by serving my wife and I at the sweetheart table. My wife and I recommend Adolfo wholeheartedly. We especially love his hors d'oeuvres: peking duck roll ups, beef summer rolls, beef taco, and mini pizza! At first, I was a little nervous using a new caterer for the first time for something so important, but it ended up being an amazing experience. Adolfo's team executed a flawless and delicious menu for my mother's surprise 60th birthday party. The parties favorites were the tomato shots with mini grilled cheeses. The duck rolls were so tasty! Lobster rolls were so yummy and the leftovers were eaten with lettuce wraps. The sirloin with the peppers were magical! The menu was so good! After speaking to 8 caterers what drew me to Adolfo was his professionalism, itemized invoices and wonderful follow up. His easy-going professionalism and genuine personable ease was comforting since this was the first time venturing into finding a full service catering. I was one of the organizers for an family event 60 people and we needed a caterer really at the last minute (under two weeks) and a cousin of mine recommended Adolfo and his catering company. I have to say from the first time we spoke to the last time we met Adolfo was professional and efficient. He assured me that any changes that needed to be made will be no problem. Adolfo and his team catered a huge cocktail party for us last weekend--I needed all the help I could get since I live out of town and wouldn't arrive until shortly before the party. Adolfo did two walk throughs of the venue to help with all the logistical planning, made helpful suggestions for our rentals (linens, glassware, etc) and showed up with a great team of chefs, servers and a bartender to make the event run smoothly. Adolfo catered my birthday party for 24 people. One of the reasons that we chose him was that he was the only caterer that insisted that in order to provide the best experience possible he would first have to visit my apartment in order to ascertain how we could accommodate that number of people for a sit down dinner. That was very important and he was able to structure the seating plan so that everything ran smoothly. Adolfo's food was delicious and the guests are still raving about it.
