USED firearms at 45% mark ups compared to their new MSRP prices (the one I looked at was $679 but brand new at any gun shop is $379 -- make that make sense?! And it's found a plenty. There is not a shortage on them or guns right now -- hasn't been for years.) I politely asked the woman if there was anything special about the firearm I inquired about. She said she knew nothing about the gun, just mentioned it came with two magazines. Alrighty then, I told myself. I guess they just rely on price over volume. I'll see myself out, no big deal. I left happy because I wasn't interested in buying a gun that day on the spot and the staff was very kind. I had no complaints but was still stumped by the price on that gun. I came back a few days later and the staff pulled a 180 on me. Before I had even made it to the counter I got hard pressed and yelled at for touching their glass counter top that displays theirs guns. Listen I don't really give a crap how I'm talked to, I'm a grown man, but dang, represent your business and yourself better than that. Without going on and on, I brought in a gun to sell and the woman offered me $75 for a $550 gun. I asked for $250 and she basically told me to F off. "I don't care it's condition it's used -- your gun isn't special it's a smith and Wesson -- you think we can run a shop buying guns for that much?" So then, I decide to tell her, "I only brought my gun in here to sell to you because I noticed ***points at a gun in her case****" and she cuts me off because she knows I'm about to call her out on her BS. They are charging $679 for a gun that is $379 brand new!!!!! Pure insanity!!!! She got SOOO defensive I was just grinning. The first time I'm in the shop she didn't know why the gun was so expensive or the first thing about it, yet the next day "i research all these guns and put their fair going value on the tag." No damn way! I brought my gun to this shop, because I figured if they are screwing people over on the selling end, maybe they aren't half bad on the buying end. NOPE! Just highway 121 robbery ;) Perhaps no one has called her on her bogus before. When I did she lost her mind with every excuse and belittling comment in the book. She told me "no one is buying guns in Biden's economy. Everyone is broke, I have 15 guns in the back waiting to put on this shelf and can't put them up here because nothing on this shelf is moving." Alright settle down Jerome Powell Junior!! I didn't know you were a macro-economics expert! The reason you don't move product is because you are charging 45% more for used products over brand new MSRP. Her caveat there is that Pawn shops are negotiable. Alright, let me know when I can talk you down 70% on your prices. I'm sure that's their business model... set prices high and just concede to a 70% reduction. Once again, highway 121 robbery. I have one suspicion why a shop would sell guns at such a high price but it is not for me to presumptuously opine on such suspicions on a public forum. Anyway, went over to Scheels, sold my MP Shield to them for $280 and picked up the gun she was charging 40% higher (FORTY -- FOR freakin TY -- F O R T Y) for for the actually MSRP, brand spanking new for $379. Subtract the trade in Valur and I'm out the door with a brand new gun at Scheel's for $100. I would not recommend this business.

I've been told they have multiple locations around town. They are closed Saturday and open Sunday which is also a bonus vs other dealers. Last month we were driving around and were shocked to see an Ollie's sign off the highway! We first…read morediscovered Ollie's in College Station and we are fans, so I'm glad they had the big sign off the highway or I may not have discovered they took over the Dirt Cheap location at the end of September. This isn't the kind of discount store where they have regular inventory they order. They carry things that didn't sell at other businesses, so they don't even know what they will have until it arrives. That being said it's pretty organized for the square footage they have. Their business model also means that you are getting discounts off the original prices, so you may see the same type of product range from very cheap to an average amount, but for a more expensive brand. If you are loyal to certain brands you may not find them here on one visit and then 2 weeks later they have a surplus, you have to physically go to the store to see what they have. It's not ideal for someone who is out of a bunch of stuff and needs things right away, but for those of you who always shop the sales and stock up, this is right up your alley! While what's offered will vary greatly I do notice that there is always a dry food section, a toiletry section, pet beds, cleaning supplies and bedding/towels. It also seems like Ollie's usually carries flooring materials and area rugs in the back. They typically always have a section of books and journals and at least one or two aisles of toys. The rest of it will change up regularly. For example, I saw an entire aisle of school supplies, which I don't recall noticing at other locations on other visits, but man, a great opportunity to get the jump on some of next year's school supplies for super cheap. They had multiple aisles of cookware and small appliances. The ones I looked at seemed like a great deal, but I had no need to purchase any. We saw a ton of Coleman products on that visit including grills of various sizes starting at $30 and King size blankets for $20 and entire comforter sets for $40. This would probably be my go to if I needed extra blankets for a guest or a new pet bed as they always have that stuff in a huge selection. We saw big boxes of coffee and hot coca pods for $10 and a big selection of spices on this visit as well. We didn't stop in looking for anything in particular but found some good deals for things we've been meaning to replace or purchase extra of. I got some cozy slippers for $8, a new pillow for $5 and several King size blankets. I was looking for King size sheets, but on that particular visit they didn't have anything larger than a Queen, but they very well may on my next one. If you enjoy thrifting, come here, you can treasure hunt and find some really cool deals and unexpected products! If you prefer a one stop shop or need to know the inventory for an instant purchase of a particular brand, maybe not a great fit, but still a neat store to visit and you may be able to get some of your Christmas shopping knocked out. I saw a section in the back right side called Ollie's Follies which seemed to be slightly damaged items at a clearance rate. If you find yourself shopping there a lot, they also have a card where you can earn points for every $1 you spend and get rewards. Not sure what kind exactly but that seems like a couponers dream. I asked a question about the drum to the owner, Glen, and the first words out of his mouth were, "I know that I'm taking off $15.00 because of a slight tear on the drum head!" I hadn't even noticed it! He then offered to help me whenever I wanted to replace the drum head in the far future. His employee was also very nice. As well as hanging my my nephews door for over a half hour to the point they knocked the wreath off of my door. (Did not even pick it back up). Please bear in mind. Yes, this means that I'm always late, but I've never been more than 8 days late! And they know the exact dates. A friend of mine, they banged on her door for 23 minutes with a closed fist. We have the entire thing on ring door cam. She was THREE DAYS late on her payment because she had nearly died in an accident. And her daughter had already contacted the store about it. There is obviously something very wrong going on with this location and yet no one will step up. There is 11 accounts on just google reviews that if true, constitute as harassment to an extreme extent! If I can get some kind of confirmation that some kind of repercussion had been handed out to the management staff at this location, as well as an apology to ALL that have complained about feeling threatened in their own homes I will drop everything involved. But you have forced me to miss work, you have forced my nephew to MOVE out of his home and he's never even been a customer of yours, just lives at my past address!
