I can't speak to their prices for jewelry, but they are very selective about what guns they will buy and their pricing is weak. While I don't expect a pawn shop to pay retail, I did end up selling a nice lightly used .357 revolver and took a major hit on it. They would not even consider the AR-15 or a .40 caliber pistol that I had; both also well maintained and lightly used. On a lark, I went to Bass Pro Shops in Katy and was offered fair prices on both of the aforementioned weapons. I wish I had gone there to sell my .357. If you're going to sell or pawn weapons, my suggestion is to simply avoid the pawn shops and head straight to Bass Pro Shops. Forget about going Mason Road Pawn to sell or pawn anything else. I don't know how they stay in business.

They tried telling me Fry Rd only accepts jewelry, but I had just got off the phone with them and they told me to bring it in. He replied with "oh I guess it just depends on who you are then " Made my way to fry and they took care of me and offered me exactly what they had over the phone. I say looked because customer service was nonexistent. Each of the 3 workers didn't ask if we needed any assistance. We were amazed at the amount of items in the store. They are definitely known for their tv stock. When all was said and done we ended up with a 55" LCD Toshiba tv for $500!!!! And that includes a 6 month warranty which allows you to upgrade of you choose. Back to the CS...we were greeted by an employee named Esteban, he was an older man and the most down to earth guy I've met in a while. He was very informative and saw that my husband and I were on a budget and gave us the tv dirt cheap. On top of that it happened to be raining that day and as we were trying to load the tv it stormed like nobody's business! On top of that the tv wouldn't fit in my husbands car (challenger). So with some ingenuity and determination Esteban dismantled the tv so it would fit. This guy went above and beyond his call of duty. He even gave us a blanket for the tv so it wouldn't get wet. All in all this process took about 45 minutes. The entire time Esteban was patient and friendly!! All he asked was to be invited over for the game and a cold beer!! Way to go EZ Pawn!!
