Just went to browse in the back for retro stuff and the guy working there left his counter to tell me about some deals. Told him I was just browsing and he wouldn't shut up about these Gamestop-esque deals. I really did not care and it was extremely uncomfortable. It seemed like whenever our eyes meet, he would have to say something. It was like a Pokemon battle. I literally walked to sections of the store I didn't want to just so I didn't have to run into him. This should not happen. Not only that, the selection of games was not very good. I used to find rows and rows of cheap games here, but after swimming through shelves and shelves of nothing but DVDs and useless merchandise, one of the most valuable things they had was John Madden on Genesis in-box. Whooptie doo. Most of the other games had torn stickers on them. Poor Sonic & Knuckles had bits of the plastic cut in it, as if a buzz-saw nicked it somehow. Seriously?? How did they get like this?! The store was also very dirty and unkempt. I almost tripped on some bits of shelving when I went to the album section. I am a pretty avid fan of brick and mortar stores and was actually planning on purchasing at least something there, but I ultimately changed my mind and left. Dudebros who apparently bought this place would rather talk your ear off about purchasing DVD and merchandise snake oil than anything worth your collection. Try FX at Richland Mall.

They refused & caused a scene & changed the price to $10 just before we left. They tried to tell me that the car price was mis marked. But there was an entire box of those little plastic trucks and the box had a price of eight dollars on it for all those trucks. As I was trying to argue with them they decided to change the price to $10. That's very rude and it's the principle of matter. A good business does not do that, they honor the price that's posted. They then fix it for next time but they want customers to come back so they should make the customer happy.

We needed an extra key fob for my son's car and decided to visit this location. The young man that…read morehelped us was very friendly and rang us up and we paid cash. After checking his stock, they didn't have the fob in stock at the location, but he could have it at the store later that afternoon. We were fine with that and decided it would work out better if I took the car the next morning to get the fob. I go in Saturday morning and a different man was able to get the fob cut and programmed and sent me on my way. Very nice and easy. Now here we go. I'm back at home prepping some food for the day and I get a phone call from Batteries +.... That's odd. I answer and it is the man that cut and programmed the fob for me this morning. He proceeds to tell me that he forgot to collect payment for the fob.... I informed him that we paid yesterday with cash. He says he doesn't show that we paid, but I'm telling him we did. He hangs up. Shortly after, I get another call from Batteries + and it's the man again and he says that they have no record of me paying and the manager checked the video and there wasn't anything on the video showing me paying. He says I need to go back and pay and if I don't, they will prosecute me for theft! Theft!! (How do you steal something that they gave me and I paid for?) I told him that they better check the video again. Now I'm searching the house for the shirts I wore the day before to see if I left the receipt in the pocket. My wife already had the shirts in the washing machine. We proceed to stop the machine and start digging trying to find the shorts I wore to see if there is some part of the receipt.... I'm steaming at this point. Angry at being accused of theft and trying to dig through wet clothes for a dumb receipt. Now we get another call from Batteries + and it's the same man. He was very remorseful and apologized saying that his manager looked at the video again and saw me paying for the fob. He initially was looking at the wrong register!! So now they have to retract the accusations placed against me. Of course, the manager was spineless and had his associate do the calling and apologizing instead of calling me himself. Not much of a leader. There were other ways they could have been checking if I paid or not before quickly calling and threatening. I guess the register had an extra $146 from the day before that they had no clue came from. I guess you can assume that I'll never go back there.

I have returned to this shop over and over and have always had a great time with conversations…read moreabout music and artists and everything with anybody I always leave with something I wanted. Prices are fair. People have to make a living you know. The family that own it are just great people and with such kind hearts. I wish them well and just have positive thoughts for them. The music I have bought over the years from them has brought my family such joy. I grew up in record shops and music stores and I love bringing my family here. What a treasure this place is for Waco. Store owner refuses to wear a mask and has total disregard for the safety of his customers. However, part of my order was not put in my bag after I paid for them. The store owner refused to call me back, and the owner of Homewreckers was able to retrieve the item for me. Upon picking them up, he verbally attacked me, stating I text him political messages - which never happened. He refused to let me show him my phone text messages. He continued to curse at me and would not give me my purchase without saying "please" to which I replied "please and thank you." He cursed at me, threatened me and stood outside the door glaring at me until I drove away. Other customers were in the store while he yelled at me. I never sent ANY political messages and to be accused of that is very offensive! This was so unexpected - I just arrived to pick up the item I purchased, only for him to make me beg him to get what I had already paid for, and what was not even his! Very unprofessional behavior! "You don't know who I am, you don't know who you are messing with!" He even threatened to call my boss! For what? To pick up items I purchased that he wouldn't return to me? All because he thought I sent a political message to him on a text message? He could not show me any such messages. No antique shop is worth all this! I will never be back!
