He became sarcastic. A month later when I called again to make another payment he "reminded" me that he remembered who I was from the months prior conversation. I then proceeded to ask to pay off our layaway so that we could be done with this individual and location. He said I couldn't pay it off unless it was done in person. I did call and make a complaint with someone higher than himself. If he doesn't like being in customer service (management) position than he should find another job. Kaitlyn (or Katie) offered me only $45. To be sure, I went to another pawn shop just up the street, where I was offered $475 for the same ring. I then returned to the first pawn shop and confronted Katie about the huge difference. In front of her coworkers, she suddenly claimed she had told me $485. I corrected her and reminded her that I had asked not once, but twice, if the offer was $45, and both times she confirmed it. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, she responded with a very cocky attitude. Based on my experience, I would advise others to be cautious and get multiple opinions before selling anything here.
