Still haven't stayed here but it's kind of a little tradition when we're with some friends. A way smaller and older casino that's right in the heart of the strip. Prime location to say. We always stop by as there's a slot machine that our friends alway have to play. It's like a tradition each and every visit. You can tell that it's so old that the sounds and coloring has completely faded away...lol... We like to just grab drinks around the bar area and gamble on the counter. Drinks use to be cheap for their house beer at a 1.00 a pop but now it's gone up to 3.00. Just like every place here, prices have increase. If you're gambling they will wave the fee but majority of the time we're not playing long enough to earn it so it's just easier to pay for a drink. They used to have tables games which the roulette table was worth it. Not anymore, all the tables have been taken away. That part sucks. There use to also be the dollar hotdog stand in the back but same as everything else, price has gone up. Gone are the days of cheap eats. But there's plenty of nice places on the strip. But for this place, cheap gambling when they had tables. You'll still find older slot machine. But for us, it's a tradition for the same old machine that's been there for who knows how long. Budget casino and hotel. You can't expect Bellagio quality for these discounted rates lol The casino is not the cleanest lol The carpet is faded and dirty looking lol The casino reeks really bad. It smells horrible in this casino. They have some cheap eats at this casino. I saw Subway and Pizza Hut. I checked the reviews for those, and they were bad lol Not sure it's worth doing the cheap eats. There's also a 24-hour McDonald's right around the corner. I mean if you are doing Vegas on a budget, this may be a great spot for that. Gambling is gambling right. If you want to be in a super clean and nice area, then gamble at Caesar's Palace instead lol This is a no-frills type of casino. What you see, is what you get lol The budget friendly hotel was not bad. It meets your basic needs. The beds are kind of stiff though. Our king-sized bed was alright. The pillows feel like they disappear when you lay on them, because they go flat lol Our room had a mini fridge and desk/ table. Not bad for the price. We didn't need anything fancy. Just the basics. Only came to Casino Royale because of the $100 promo, and it honestly wasn't worth it. You can only use the promo on one specific old machine tucked away in a "promo-only" section, which felt pretty misleading. On top of that, the casino itself was very smoky and had an outdated vibe. The best deal on the strip. We were staying a couple casinos down. Where are the drinks for $11 or $12. We stopped in here and grabbed a drink at the bar and believe it or not all beers on tap are five dollars and everything domestic in a bottle was three dollars. And a very nice variety of beers on tap. Needless to say we visited several times during our stay. Also the slot machines were giving. As you can see a couple nice hits were made. The place isn't fancy and definitely nothing special. But they do have great drink prices, giving slot machines and a great bar staff. That's all I need. read more

I love this dive bar and casino smack dab in the middle of the Strip! Reminds me of the way Vegas used to be. It's not the Bellagio so don't expect to see people dressed to the nines dropping $50 a hand on blackjack. In fact, they only have slot machines and video poker here but some of the best selection of slot machines I've seen. All the new games are here and they tend to pay out a little more. Best part is the bar located in the center. The bartender, I believe his name is Randall, is always working and is quick to give you a drink. He has some of the best pours on the Strip. The drinks are comped as long as your playing on a machine so throw him a little love and he won't forget you and will be quick to refill your glass. As for some of the reviews that mention a drug element and a high homeless population. While this is true this is true anywhere in Vegas. The first White Castle west of the Mississippi went up in Casino Royale in 2014 and there's a a loyal following and drunk burger cravers. Casino Royale also has a Pizza Hut, Subway, Nathan's Hot Dog's and a Denny's at their property. It's some of the cheapest food available on the Strip. I think it's fun to pull up a seat and watch the nightly show of people in front of you. You don't have to pay it's free and the entertainment is priceless. Rude, humiliating, and possibly racist behavior We are Korean tourists and had a very upsetting experience. My father doesn't speak English well and misunderstood the rules about a $20 promotional credit. Frustrated and confused, he unfortunately used the word "scammer" -- not knowing it was an inappropriate word. He meant no harm; it was just a language barrier. Instead of de-escalating, a female employee aggressively snatched the membership card from the slot machine and signaled for security. I apologized immediately and explained the misunderstanding, but she refused to return the card and was extremely rude. All other Americans we met during our trip were kind and respectful. This was the only moment we felt truly unwelcome -- and it felt personal, even discriminatory. In Korea, we treat foreign visitors with patience and respect, even if they don't speak Korean. It was heartbreaking to be treated this way over a small misunderstanding. If you care about respectful treatment, I strongly suggest avoiding this place. read more

Casino Royale has a little bar. It's located right in the middle of the casino. The best option around for saving money while getting wasted. Drinks are cheap. Much better than paying out your ass for the same thing at Caesars Palace. Be ready for the stink you find in old casinos. It has a low ceiling. Therefore the cigarette smoke stays closer to you. Besides this it's actually pretty good. The drinks are super cheap even if not playing. It's only about $3 for wells, and that's any time of the day. It's almost impossible to find better prices around here. There isn't any food at the bar but there's a Denny's in the hotel for those who are desperate to eat something. Fun bar. The female "free drinks" server was near the slot machine I was sitting at and was asking if any1 wanted drinks. So I informed her a Bloody Mary and she had the audacity to ask me if I was gonna play. I just sat down and my partner had to get change. I asked her if she was going to bring the drink and she said as long as as I play. Was she the president? Owner? I left her section and cashed out my money and went to customer service and asked for a manger, which Ramon came and I informed him what transpired. He apologized and offered to get my drink for me as long as I stayed. I did for a bit but I definitely won't be back. read more

This is the best spot to get cocaine on the strip. As we were playing at slot machine, there were 5 different shady men walked by us whispering if we need cocaine, we eventually gave up resisting our lust and went to the bathroom with the 5th guy to finalize our trade. Tried it in the bathroom stall, it was heavily cutted, probably with baking soda, we took a lot of lines to feel the high, I would say it's a ripped off. The security personnel and the guy siting in the surveillance room are extremely rude and paranoid here! They allow drug dealers hovering infront of their eyes, but treat customers very rudely. I'm a so called little whale, bet bigger than 80% of gamblers, and I happend to hit a small jackpot, won $1329 on the IGT slot. After the slot attendant took 25 minutes to pay me, 4 security guys came shouted at me rudely, apprantly they don't like customer win at their games. I suspect the security guys took a cut from the drug trade, it's the most bizzare casino we've been to. It's the most convenient location on the strip, also the most dangerous location on the strip. read more

Casino Royale... What to say? It's been around for ages, it's your typical old-school style Vegas casino on the strip. I have never stayed in the rooms here, but I have heard they are Motel 6 quality. The bad: It's dank and dirty and smells, particularly on the south side where you can smell garbage. I usually find homeless guys running scams using the show ticket machines here. It is tucked between Harrah's and a bunch of shitty fast food joints to the South. The good: A short walk towards The Venetian and Palazzo on the North. White Castle is attached. Friendly bartenders slinging cheap beer and cocktails for half what you'll pay anywhere else on the strip. Also, a good collection of new slots and fun 9/6 video poker at the bar with a nice payback player's card program! It has had somewhat of a rebirth with White Castle burgers opening here, attached to the casino. It's worth it to stop in, grab some sliders from WC and play a few rounds of video poker. It can get a little rough at night with the type of patrons that you might want to avoid, so I would recommend going during the day if possible. read more

The casino itself is a smaller casino located on the strip and I don't necessarily have a problem with the casino. But the bartender at the main bar apparently being racist and tried to have security called on me. Security came, checked my ID, and determined I didn't do anything wrong. However the bartender did not want to serve me as well as the people I was with. Been a resident of Las Vegas for over 5 years and have never been treated like that at any other establishment at all. I normally don't leave reviews but my experience here definitely deserved a review. Enjoy the casino but avoid this bartender at all costs. Casino is 4/5 stars... Staff needs to re-read employee handbook or at least this one person. Don't let one bad apple ruin your experience. I'm a diamond member with best western and if you're coming to vegas and have a best western rewards, it's worth staying and checking out. read more

This is always a great spot to play some slots (my husband tends to win here), cheap beer at the bar and grab a cheap footlong hot dog in the back. The bar is always hopping and the bartenders are quick. The beer is cheap. I know it has gone up a little over the years but $3 for a variety of beer choices is pretty good, especially for Vegas. This place is a hidden gem on the strip. They have $3 ATM fees and $3.99 unlimited refill sodas. Most casinos on the strip now charge $6.99 or more for sodas. Some without offering refills. The cost of ATM fees on the strip is ridiculous now averaging $10 or more. They have several newer games and allow you to play longer on small bets than most places. We went there a few years ago and won over $270 in comps in one night. It may not be for everyone as it looks like a dive bar but it's worth a visit. read more

When you're young and broke, this is a great place to visit if you want to get your drink on without gambling. Nestled between major hotel and casinos, it has a great location. It gets super busy but is worth the visit. $1 margaritas are always a great idea but remember to enjoy them in moderation and to tip well. If you feel lucky, try the casino. This is a small, crowded, flashy casino, but if you are looking for cheap table games on the strip, this is your place. They have a $3 craps table during certain times, and $5 table games regularly. Craps in particular tends to be really packed, but you can usually squeeze in. The chili dogs in the back are also awesome. Nice smaller casino with $5 blackjack and craps tables. Still independently owned. Dealers are good and helpful if you are new to playing blackjack or craps. Plenty of slots to play and the servers are quick to bring drinks to you. The ventilation system is not as robust as the bigger casinos so be prepared for the smokers. read more

Casino Royale is a bit of history on the strip! 1. When you walk in it smells like farts (on the day we went, there was an overpowering stench near the huge WOF machine). 2. While it isn't full of the latest and greatest games, you'll see some newer machines (Sharnado!) and a decent variety of machines that are a few years old (e.g., Sex and the City). 3. For the love of God, do not order liquor from the cocktail waitresses. I ordered bourbon on the rocks on two separate occasions...the first time it tasted like poor-quality bourbon, and the second time it was 95% ice/water, 5% bourbon. I took one sip and tossed it. 4. For new customers they offer you their players card, which after you spend $20 you get $20 in free play. The problem is that it sounds straightforward but I never got my $20 in free play due to the way they calculate it (E=MC2). I thought I qualified but nope. 5. They decorated the place with string icicles and balls hanging precariously out of the recessed lighting cans. Did it look safe? Not really, but it added a festive touch to the casino. The next time we're in Vegas we'll definitely go back for an hour as it's truly one of the last remaining "authentic" casinos on the strip. Yes. There are nicer casinos on the strip. There are fancier ones. But this place is historic and this place is like a remaining of the past. It feels local. Kind of reminding the casinos the way they used to be. There is also William hill stand/one person cashier where they can take bets on games that most other casinos don't. We walked in while walking the strip. And kind of felt like I'm in a casino in the 70's. Kind of cool. Quick drink at the bar, serviced by a friendly bar tender. Overall it was cool. And yes, could use some renew and some better ventilation. But still worth a visit. read more
