When a tournament got in the way of cash games Jay called me on my cell to tell me tables opened up and put my name and my friend's name on the board. I have to say one of the best poker rooms in Las Vegas. Very classy and good service. The action is always good here. I only play 1/3 and the buy in is $100-$500 so the game plays almost like a 2/5. The poker players most of them that play here always have money so they do multiple buy in's if they get stacked. They do have a good comp $1.50 an hour of play which is better than the average $1 at most casinos. The staff that works here the floor to dealers are all friendly and nice. I haven't yet ran into any unfriendly staff they'll always take care of you. You can also eat at the tables and order food from wazuzu next door, they do have a food runner. read more

I have been living in Las Vegas for about almost 25 years now. This is the best poker room in Las Vegas. The dealers and the floors are so so friendly and know what they are doing. They do not just hire anyone off from the street like some of the poker rooms in town. You can tell that these are well trained quality staffs. I play poker tournaments there regularly and just cannot say enough about the floors and the dealers there. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Destination rooms, the top echelon of the Vegas poker scene include Wynn, Bellagio, Aria, and Venetian (for purposes of this review, I'm excluding the WSOP as it it seasonal). These top four rooms differentiate themselves from the tourist and locals' rooms by taking themselves more seriously. They do not drop a jackpot rake, so no bad beat jackpots or high hand jackpots are awarded. For lack of a better phrase these rooms are simply where serious poker is played. The Wynn takes the idea of pampering the player to an entirely new level. Watch out for swindlers in this poker room. On a very coordinated board on the evenng of July 4th with 200 in the pot, seat 3 put a stack of 60 dollars over the line. He said nothing to me. The dealer turned to him and they had some low hushed statements I did not hear, but I decided to call the 60 w one pair and no kicker and said call. I was in seat 9. Then seat 3 flipped over the nut straight and pushed forward 375 in chips and said I called the all-in. The floor came over and agreed with seat 3 that it was my responsibility to clarify his bet even though not a single player at the table said they heard all-in. Just the dealer who said nothing to me. I argued in vain, pushed my 375 over and asked to speak to a manager who said it was too late since I obeyed the floor person. Somehow I was supposed to know to escalate it above the floor person. Clearly, it is the responsibility of the dealer and betting person to make sure the bet is clear when only a small chip stack is put over the line. Beware! What an operation. Beware. Oh, the manager gave me some food vouchers to help lessen the "sting". read more

The Wynn has a nice room but the 1/3 game here is one of the tightest games I've ever had the displeasure of playing in. I don't even understand why some people choose to sit down with 500 dollars in their stack when the pots rarely get above 50 bucks. Covering someone and effective stacks sizes doesn't matter if the money never goes in. Anytime stacks go in, it's a huge cooler like nuts vs. 2nd nuts type of situation. I played a lot when the poker room was at the Wynn and you parked on the parking garage and walked right in but the room was dark and small. It's a longer walk to the encore but the room is really bright and a lot larger. Plus the tables are spread out so your move on top of each other also thru bathrooms in the room so you don't have to walk out in the crowded casino. It's my favorite poker room second only to the Venetian. You can also order food to be delivered from a couple restaurants. read more

Probably my 2nd favorite poker room in Las Vegas. A little on the smaller side, but when the games are good here, they are great. It can be hit or miss though, so either you have to have friends here letting you know about the games, or have connections with the staff to know when those particular players arrived. At first I thought their poker chips looked and felt like wsop tournament chips, but I've grown accustomed to them and like how they feel. The tables are nice and the overall ambiance of the place is elegant. The 2/5 NL is $200-1500 max buy in which is nice, and the 5/10 NL is uncapped! They also have higher stakes PLO running when other places don't. I also like the fact that self parking lot is literally right next to the poker room, so that I don't have to walk through the whole casino to get to the poker area. They do the standard $2 dollar a hour poker comp that you can use for the room service, Asian restaurant, and pizza place and deli. read more

This is a really nice poker room which has taken a back seat to Venetian and Aria. The atmosphere is great and I've come to find more fishies here but I can only speak to the lower limit/nl and low 200 and under tournies that they have. They spread a lot of high limit games such as 5-10nl. If you're there during a tournament series you'll find more action. My advice is to call in advance to see what games they have. I'm a sucker for their drinks - they make the best complimentary strawberry julius and I have no shame in ordering a fruity drink! read more

I was so disappointed in the new Wynn Poker room. The dealers made an obvious mistake every hour, the incompetence of the dealers and floor management cost me a massive pot (they took away my winning hand and redrew)....then smirked and acted like it was the players fault. I ordered food to the poker table and only 1/2 the order came, I couldn't access wifi for the 8 hrs playing. It's a nicely decorated room, but if you value competency, performance by staff, floor rulings that are fair and friendliness/fun/fair gambling stay with Bellagio and Aria poker rooms. I've never heard or seen anything close to the clown show Wynn Poker provided in 8 hrs versus over 10 yr's at the real Poker rooms!!! read more

I played many times at the Wynn poker room and recommend STAY AWAY! Why? Because in my opinion, based on playing well over 500,000 live and online hands, there is a lot of collusion against tourists and out of towners in the Wynn Poker room. There are a LOT of locals, regulars, dealers etc. who play at the Wynn poker room. And after having read two books on poker collusion, cheats and angle shoots, my opinion was that the games I played there were regularly rampant with collusion and soft play between them. They targeted the tourists. I did not sense the same at the Aria where I really enjoyed the PLO and NLH. However, even at the Aria, players told me that cheating and collusion were happening there, but at the higher stakes tables. I would still trust the low limit games at the Aria, but the Wynn is simply out and I'd NOT recommend it's poker room to anyone. It's a shame because it's a physically nicer poker room than Aria. It's beautiful. Now here is my disclaimer: this is my opinion only based on 35 years of playing poker live and online; this is based on playing occasionally over the course of at least 3 years; the last time I played there was in 2018 (after which I swore I'd never play there again. Have things changed there since 2018? Well ask around and find out if it's still a favorite of locals and dealers. If yes, stay away. Go to their buffet lol, because it's the best buffet in Vegas instead. It's a beautiful hotel (nicer than Aria), with great restaurants and a very nice atmosphere. In my opinion this room is easily in the top 3 if not the best poker room in Vegas for mid stakes action. 2/5-5/10 runs daily, there's an optional button straddle which most people don't take advantage of and the buy ins for every game are quite deep(usually 200-300 BBs). Very good floormen and service as well. It's also pretty awesome that the parking is only a few seconds away from the poker room itself. read more

I played here several times and the action can be really good, the room is very nice and well attended. Omar's review concerns me and I agree with him that copying the DL is unnecessary. Guess I will be careful to cash out if I step away. Back to the action...as much as you want. I played low stakes NLH and found them as good as any games in town, very nicely appointed room, a bit small but service so close that your drink is always full. Wifey really liked the Casino because it's new and elegant and had some ridiculously expensive shopping available. The room "open "is back at the Wynn not the Encore Room and I like the location better right by the Pit where the stray Money rolls By and falls into the room more then The Encore of course the Encore is a bigger nicer Room but more removed from the Pit IE Craps / Blackjack that sort of thing exactly what a Make Money Poker Player wants as it = a live Money Game rather then a lot of " regulars " Stagnating the Game thus creating a Money Pit for the house without Much action . Vegas Players seem to like the Flashy Rooms until they realize that soon they well be broke if they don't find Great action where they Can win The 1/3 NLH has a lot of action to much for me kind of a crap shoot in my book more like a crap game . The 5/10 NLH is more of a Play For Show Type of game I feel and not a place to pick up some Easy $$$,$$$ But more for show offs . I would feel more at home I a larger Game then a 5/10 Myself like a say 25/50 Blind game and then you well have Action again for sure . On Wednesday, January 8th I was playing poker at the Wynn Poker Room and I got up to have dinner at the buffet (where I spent $344.17 for dinner) with some friends. I came back about an hour-and-a-half later and they had picked up my chips and my jacket that was hanging on the back of my seat. Christopher Dannevik, the shift manager, asked for my ID and I showed him my driver's license. We went over to the cashier where I was to get my money back. Christopher asked my to sign a receipt form, which I did, and then he said he would not give me my money back unless he could make and keep a copy of my driver's license. With all of the identity theft going on I don't like having unnecessary copies of my driver's license floating around and I did not allow this. Christopher acknowledged that it was my money but said that they would not give me it back unless they photocopied my driver's license, which I would not allow him to do. In my book, this is theft, plain and simple. Interestingly, they then gave me my jacket back--making it difficult to argue that they had any doubt that they money and jacket belonged to me. I pointed out that the same dealers were in the poker room and even several of the same players were still playing at the table--all of whom could identify me. They also have numerous cameras so they were literally a dozen ways they could have verified my identity, if needed, though Christopher never disputed that it was my money. As of this writing they still will not give me back my money. If you don't mind the poker room unnecessarily photocopying personal information or you don't mind having your money stolen, then by all means, go play at the Wynn Poker Room. Otherwise consider other, better choices, like the Bellagio Poker Room. read more

I love staying at Wynn resort. So obviously playing at their poker room makes sense. They have recently totally redesigned the poker room and moved it into Encore. I give the new room solid 5 stars for design and tables. Usually player mix is pretty solid , definitely not much fish there for easy picking; but if you want to challenge yourself and play with really good player , this is the place to be. The reason why I give the room only 2 stars is because of the dealers and especially the support stuff and liquor girls. You can read the general " I don't give a s-t about you" attitude on the faces of 90% of people that work there. The liqueur service is totally disgusting. You can sit there literally for hours and not have anyone come to your table. A request to the manager usually meet with the shrug of shoulders and the look saying "leave me along". And I am talking about 2-5 and 5-10 NL, with the average pot in hundreds of dollars !!!!! This service is so disgusting , it's shocking to me that whoever is managing the place still has a job at Wynn. So sad read more

Restrooms attached, which is AMAZING that for once you don't have to go up or downstairs or across the casino. Drinks are good. Waitresses are super nice and wear pretty uniforms.
