Overpriced! Sweaters shrink when dry cleaned. Prices go up frequently. Not worth the cost. Phone doesn't work either.

I have been going to Caskeys for over 45 years.. I took 4 jackets to have altered on 10/15 first they were to be ready on 10/29 then pushed to 11/5 went to pick up on 11/5 had not even started them and couldn't advise me they would be ready I was told someone would call me and they never did.. I called to see when they would be ready and was told late on 11/21.. I went in on 11/22 to pick them up and told the cashier what had happened and asked if there would be was any discounts since they took so long and her very rude response was He is always late on orders and didn't even apologize for the issue. I'm here with a concern about their policy, and NOT their service. I went to Caskey Cleaners today to p/u my clothing. The bill was $84.39. I pulled out five $20 bills. The clerk said, "You know what our policy is when using cash, don't you?" I did not. He explained that when using cash you won't get change back. In response I asked, "so, you don't give back coin change? No problem." Hevsaid, "No. You won't get ANY change back. We'll add it as a credit to your next drop off." I told him that was unacceptable and seems "illegal to have such policy." If I decide to not return to that cleaners, then they get to simply keep my $15.61 change owed. And, it used to be that when dropping off your clothes fir cleaning, they'd give you a receipt with the amount owed at pick-up. Not any more.​ read more

i had 3 work overalls tailored (shortened) and was charged OVER $80. This was because the manager had the items dry cleaned. THEY WERE BRAND NEW AND WASHED BY ME. I've used Caskeys for years but since Covid19 they have gone downhill tremendously. Took dress shirts back to have redone -- nothing changed when I got them back & NO ONE there cares any. it's like "oh well tough shi#". I unknowingly paid to have couple of items dry cleaned just to have a freaking button sewn on a shirt -- a butt sewn on was like $15. Ssmevghing with a pair of shorts I needed hemmed. they screwed up the hem -- $30 some dollars for that mess & mgt refused to do anything about it. Went here because another dry cleaner didn't offer alterations (I tore a hole in the pit of my coat). So they ended up telling me they send clothes that need alterations to Caskey's. It took a little longer than expected to get my jacket back but you cannot tell it was ever torn. Very satisfied with the job they did. read more

I have been going to Caskey's for years... The convenience factor is in large part the reason, but, also the fast and affordable service. They have same day and next day service, which is great! They always offer discounts on their services as well... They send out mailers and also advertise in the High Street Neighborhood guide. They have been able to remove stains and have also done some great repair jobs for me in the past. They offer suede and leather cleaning as well... Not that I actually own any clothes that are suede or leather. Side note... Very happy with the service and price at Caskey. The building is off the beaten path, down a part of Front Street that looks like an alley. It appears that the work is done in house, as the warehouse-style building is huge. Service was very helpful, I got the sense that there's a great deal of attention paid to the details of each customer. Clothes were available as promised in one week (faster service is available). The best part -the price! A loan of dry cleaning that would easily cost $100 elsewhere (ahem, Callender's...) was just $55. Same service, half the cost. Can't be beat. read more

My parents had their clothes cleaned here, and I'm carrying on that tradition. Doing something right: Most of the employees at Caskey's are dressed professionally, are nice, there are lots of them, and all the cars in the parking lot are well-kept. Some of the people who work here I remember from my childhood, that's how long the company has served them. The owner's car is only slightly nicer (he has a vanity plate). I haven't had any need to give them any business since I graduated from high school and stopped wearing my band uniform, but when their services were needed, they got the job done and they did it well. We REALLY loved their same-day guarantee, because sometimes shit happens and you don't find out about stains til the morning of the game. The only reason they don't get the full five stars is they left a stain on my overlay, which is supposed to be PRISTINE white. We tried everything to get it out and nothing worked until we took it to a cleaners that was local and cheaper. Other than that, Caskey is the best. read more

I've been to Caskey Cleaning for various dry cleaning and alterations quite a few times. I have not had a single issue with their service. Having used several cleaners in the past in other areas, I would rate Caskey Cleaning's level of expertise fairly high. The service is quick (in & out in just a few minutes). Caskeys Cleaners used to be a notch above the rest when it came to dry cleaning, Not anymore!!! Overpriced and shoddy work. I took three 2 piece suits there at $13.10 per suit, also dropped off one 3 piece and it cost $19.00!!! $6 more for one tiny little vest that still had the same wrinkle in the fabric as when I took it in. I asked for the lapels on the 3 piece suit to be pressed hard , but it didn't happen, and there was hair all over the suit jacket that wasn't on there when I took it in. I used to go off the beaten path to go to Caskeys but NO MORE!!! *** Update ~ To add insult to injury, when I wore the 3 piece suit to a Valentines Banquet I found out the the vest was missing the buckle in the back. read more

I say hello, I'm needing some alterations done to my coat. First thing out her mouth is "I don't know how much it's gonna cost?!"(In her snotty voice)....What? I never asked for the price, I haven't even talked about what I need done to my coat! Then she say's "well alterations is over there" well thank you I can now go over to where I need to be. So then she is still fussing about how there is a sign hanging that says alterations! Okay the sign doesn't say walk behind desk to alterations. This is by far the best cleaners in columbus. It's been around for ever. Don't be put off by how it looks on the outside. This place is frequented by high profile businessmen because they do an excellent job on men's shirts. They also have next day service. I have only had one bad experience and they settled it asap without a lot of drama. Thus is the only place I will ever go. read more

I have recently re-entered the business world, where dressing well matters. I have tried several cleaners in the German Village area and this wins, hands down. They are short on charm but very efficient. The place is mostly a dump but I am not paying for decor. The work is very well done, details are attended to (like unbuttoning shirt collars before pressing when I forget to) and the prices are reasonable. I wish they had a price between "Special", which means tomorrow and "Regular", which means in a week. Still, they are reliable and that matters most to me, along with price. read more

This will be my first and absolute last experience with these people. I dropped off 14 items to the store, which were promised for pickup in 7 days (which seemed an inordinate amount of time in the first place). These garments were to make up my wardrobe for a vacation beginning the following day. I was appalled and shocked to find that the store decided to close early at 3 (the receipt states that they close at 7pm), which will require me to spend the first day of vacation (and a great deal of money) shopping for an entire wardrobe of summer clothes to replace the ones being held hostage by Caskey. My husband and I have been searching for a good laundromat since we moved to Columbus a year ago. We needed a place that would handle our garments with care and follow instructions. We have finally found that with Caskey! The owner and staff are extremely helpful, warm and responsive. They listened to our instructions and followed them exactly! We had such terrible experiences with laundry service in the past (staffs that don't understand/speak English, are rude, don't follow instructions, won't work with you on delivery times, etc.) and it is so nice to finally have a place we can trust!!! Our clothes come back smelling amazing, folded perfectly and super soft! They even offer to put items on hangers if you want, which is perfect for my work clothing (this is the first time in years I have entrusted a laundromat with my work clothes, and they did not disappoint). I went to get a pair of pants taken in for an interview I have in a few days. I read off their website that they do same day alteration services. In order for the item to be same day, it had to be in before 10a. I arrived short after they opened at 6a before I had to go into work. A man at the front desk asked me what size I wanted my pants to be taken into and I said normally they would have someone pin the pants, I've never just said what size I need. And we went back and forth a bit before an women walked up and said oh no no. You need to come back when our alternations people are here. I said fine, what time do they come in. And the lady stated it was around 10:30 or 11a. I was a bit angry because it defeated the whole purpose of me arrive before 10a to insure same day service. I was referred to this place because it doesn't seem like Marion village/ German village doesn't have many dry cleaners. I went there, took a few cloths and a pair of work pants. I asked them to hem one pant leg that had come undone after 1 wash. I will not be bringing my cloths back there...I will drive 30 minutes to Gahanna let the small business owner there work her magic. read more
