Anthony was extremely knowledgeable, transparent, and patient with going through diferent mattress materials, warranty, and even going through the different technicalities on mattress production (eg coiling, tufting, etc) -- we learned a lot and we spent essentially a very helpful hour in the store to help us determine ultimately what we were looking for. We appreciated that the interaction didn't feel pushy/like a hard sales pitch and we left with the plan to look at other store fronts to compare experiences/prices and ultimately came 3 weeks later to put in our order. No weird up charges and he gave us a free gift with the purchase :) if I had to purchase another mattress in the future I'd definitely come back and recommend this place to other people!

    I ordered a mattress and foundation/frame from Avocado. I received two different emails to share my…read morereview of each item. I submitted both on the same day, a 2 star review of the mattress and a 5 star review of the foundation/frame. The 5 star review showed up online after a day or two but my 2 star review never was posted. I waited another month and tried to submit the review of the mattress again but with 3 stars. Again, it has never been posted online. I also tried with 4 and 5 stars, each time starting the review stating that this was actually a 2 star review, but none of them have ever shown up online. I would be very skeptical of their reviews seeing as mine has never shown up online. The last time a 2 star review was posted of the mattress I purchased was nearly 3 years ago. I have a hard time believing that is true. Their customer service has also gone down the drain. They started using AI in recent years for customer service questions and you never get your questions answered. They just provide a general statement that sometimes doesn't even pertain to your issue. I had to demand to speak/chat with an actual person to get my issue resolved. I've ordered other items from Avocado -- sheets, body melt, pajamas -- and had loved everything and had impeccable customer service when my order was wrong or I had issues with the item. Those days are gone. AI and I'm sure increased prices/inflation has killed what this company did so well. I'm disappointed with what has become of Avocado Green Mattress. I likely won't be purchasing much from them going forward.

    The service is so bad I will never be back to any Sleep Number store. Ever. I am looking for a bed…read moreand I will be buying one tomorrow, but not from Sleep Number. First, there was a sign on the door that said back in 5 minutes. Below that was a number if I wanted an "immediate" response. I did not call right away because I am not rude, I mean maybe the person is in the bathroom, I don't know. It said 5 minutes in large print. I have to be able to trust that. 12 minutes later I finally called and the employee said, "I'll be right there, I am just across the street." 5 minutes later another call and he said, "I will be right there." He did finally show up. We got in and he asked how he could help. I told him what I wanted to see and was clear that there was nothing else I wanted to see. He said he would be right there. He then got on the phone with a friend, clearly a personal call--he is loud. He stayed on that call a few minutes leaving me to wait some more. I was there on 9/1/24 at 7 pm. I don't mention horrible employees by name. He then comes up to me and asks my name. I tell him. He then calls me Miss Elizabeth. Now I can't stand that. He has no idea what my pronouns are, but I always let that go because I think it is just a bad habit. But no, he then asks my helper that was with me, I am clearly disabled, what his name is. He is a special needs person and hates to speak. He says his name and nothing else, now that should have given the salesperson a hint. It did not, he wanted to talk to the male, that was clear. I said, "He does not like to talk." That should have done it, but no, he says, "He just told me his name, he talks" and tried to talk to him and my poor helper did not respond and was clearly uncomfortable. I tried to let that go, but at this point I knew he was rude and just had to be right. I asked is this the bed. He said we make them all and anyone will be what you want. He was directing his speech to my helper. I was just so done. How unfeeling, sexist and rude. The place is very small with not a great selection. There are very few seats. It is somewhat clean, but someone get a vacuum out. I sat on the bed and it was clear it was made poorly, it is all air, that is what they say are great about their beds. If the electricity goes out, and mine has 3 times this week with the heat, your bed just will be an uncomfortable mess. And the employee told my helper to lay on the bed, not me the customer. I said no, and he said well you lay here. I mean what is his problem. Their prices are so high for what they are selling. I have now looked at ever bed on the market and know what I am going to get. Again, it won't be a sleep number. I just don't do rude and obnoxious and get off your phone. When you say 5 minutes, have it be 5 minutes or say what it is, people will wait, but you start off badly when you lie and don't even say sorry for the wait. And your beds are not great. Terrible experience and as I said I have now seen, as in been to, all the bed stores and to make a helper so uncomfortable is disguising and he assumed he was my husband and said so. Now how do you know that and why do you think that. My helper and I went home because he was upset and did later say to me, "Why did he try to make me talk when you said no talk?" I told him not to worry, that it was his rudeness and assumptions and sexism, not yours. And their warranty is weak and there are so many better beds out there and for less.

However I tested a similar mattress. When my bed arrived I could not sleep! I turned the heating element on and it was too noisy. I called customer service and was transferred three times before I could speak to anyone. Finally I got through and the lady from customer service said we can't do anything about the noise! I told that I wanted to return the bed. She said you must wait 30 days before we can accept the return and the bed frame is a final sale and you need to pay $250.00 to have it removed. You think when you pay more than $14,000.00 for a bed you get a better service! Very disappointed with the bed and customer service. Please do not fall in this trap. They do not deserve the one star.
