There are a few reasons to choose this mattress store over all the many others you'll find in LA. I originally shopped at their La Cienega location mainly because it was nearby but when we decided to upgrade to a king size, I went out of my way to head to their new location because of the brand Spinal Care Bedding. This brand makes great mattresses and they are so much more reasonably priced than the big name brands! I hope they continue making mattresses for a long time because they are literally the absolute best!! That's the first reason to shop here, the second is that the owner is truly such a nice guy. He really helped us out, I told him the brand I wanted, size, firmness level, price range, and what type of mattress we would be switching from so it wasn't too much of a drastic change. He basically told us exactly what we should get and discounted it to fit the budget. When life is crazy and you don't have all the time in the world to research and shop around, it's nice to have someone who knows what they are doing just make the decision for you. I needed a new mattress asap. I went online and checked everything, asked friends who all told me that their place was "the best". I live on the other side of the country and Sergio and Richard were simply amazing. I first bought a bed from Sergio who completely understood all the needs of someone that old. When I flew into town, I tested that bed then thought I should test some others just to confirm that was the most comfortable one in that price range and it was hands down the best bed. SO comfy! I highly recommend talking to the salesperson Tina, in particular, who politely and smartly guided my wife and I towards a purchase I know we'll be happy with for 10 years or more. Like many people, I know practically nothing about mattresses, making it important to find an honest place that will educate me while guiding me towards a choice which fits my desires and my budget. When I walked into Mattress Stop, I was overwhelmed by the huge range of mattresses available, ignorant of nearly all the industry terms, and worried that I was sending myself foolishly into the lion's den of salesmanship. But, within about 2 minutes, I realized that I had just had a spot of great luck: I'd found precisely the rare type of place that will patiently educate the customer with everything they need to know, then give them space to make their own decision, and try to make the best possible deal in the end. For me, this is the no-hassle dream, and that dream lives at Mattress Stop! It was enormously refreshing, and I highly recommend it. The salesperson Tina melted away all the confusion, quickly explained mattress construction and the various options, and then answered questions with endless patience as my wife and I bounced from mattress to mattress, sharing our feedback and picking her brain. This allowed us to try sample every mattress in the house with plenty of time to scrutinize our options: just the sort of thing that lets a person know they made the right decision, with absolutely zero noise in the way of sales tactics. We haven't purchased a mattress here yet, but the shopping experience at this smallish store was very positive. I hate mattress shopping - hate it. I don't feel comfortable just lying down in public... maybe that's weird but it just feels super intimate to me. And I'm not convinced that a 30-second lie down will accurately allow me to judge if I'm going to love this mattress enough to sleep on it for 10 years. I especially hate some of the high pressure salespeople you find at larger mattress stores - it's almost like buying a car! Mattress Stop is smaller than the big chains and there was only one salesperson there when we visited (on Labor Day). Their prices are around the same or a little better than the larger chain stores we visited, but the experience is much better - not as much "buy now buy now" going on. The selection is small but well cultivated - they have the top sellers and brands in prices ranging from "budget" (which in mattress land seems to be around $1,000 for a King bed) to "premium" (several thousand dollars). When you check in on Yelp, you get an offer for free delivery. Parking lot in the back - enter through a supper narrow alley on La Cienega. After a few hours of mattress shopping at the super stores, come here and you'll be relieved. And ready for a nap, which is convenient. read more

You walk in and after the first couple of sentences you feel like you're part of the family. You feel like you really matter, that your comfort really matters. Sergio is super knowledgeable about mattresses , and the specific needs of people with back issues. He was beyond patient as I tried out half of the mattresses in the store. He invited me to spend as much time as I wanted on the mattress of my choice. He said to return another day to continue testing it out to make sure it is the right fit. I was hesitant when I asked the price of the mattress, thinking that we are in West Hollywood and the prices would be too high for my budget. I was wrong. In addition to the mattress being reasonably priced, Sergio offered me an amazing discount.
