Appointments became rushed, started late, and lacked even basic professionalism. You're barely greeted when you walk in, and the overall tone makes it feel like you're inconveniencing them just by being there. I told them multiple times I had a head injury from a concussion and the lack of care was very concerning how abrasively they washed and handled my head. My most recent appointment was a complete failure. I asked for a warm, golden brown and came prepared with multiple reference photos. While the color was processing, I clearly flagged that it was pulling purple. That concern was dismissed, and the product was left on longer. The result was the darkest my hair has ever been, almost black with a cool, purple hue. The exact opposite of what I requested. The color job is all mismatched, the lower part of my hair significantly darker, the roots are sloppy and uneven. When I pointed this out, the response was defensive and dismissive. At one point, I was sarcastically asked if I wanted to "bleach it," which is an inappropriate and careless suggestion for already fine hair. It was mind blowing to have this handled so poorly and then be rushed through a cut that does not look anywhere close to the quality of the past cuts. I followed up requesting a refund, given that this will take months to correct and fade, and received no response for over 48 hours. It's not even about the money - it's about the severe lack of respect. What's most surprising is that this level of defensiveness and lack of accountability was unacceptable, especially after such a grave mistake. Instead of thoughtful adjustment and ownership, the response was dismissive in the moment and silent afterward. Mistakes happen. How they're handled is what defines a business. This was not handled well. NYC has no shortage of salons that can deliver both technical skill and professionalism. This is not one of them. I was really unhappy with my hair that I went to get a hair treatment (for the dry, damaged hair) and toner at a different salon a week later. That stylist even asked "who did your hair?"

I guess she didn't style it? But anyways, if you're just looking for a basic cut make sure to communicate that so you don't accidentally double the cost of your haircut. The interior was super clean and everyone there was very friendly. The woman working the front offered me water, tea, or coffee when I arrived and hung my coat in the back.

I chose Cassie based on her Yelp reviews and everything is true. She is talented, professional and fun! I've never had my make up done before but Cassie helped me narrow down a range of options to something that not only matched my dress and hair but matched my personality. I had warned her before the event that I had a lot of hair but she made it look beautiful and elegant. My hair stayed up all night and everyone I met said it looked perfect. Through the process of pinning my hair she checked regularly to make sure the pins weren't poking my skull or uncomfortable in anyway. When I asked her opinion she gave me honest advice based on the texture and thickness of my hair. The end result was incredible. When it came to the make up Cassie made sure you use products that would not irritate my skin. She was gentle while applying liner to the waterline (a sensitive area that makes me tear up). She gave me dark smokey eyes and a neutral lip which made my whole look sophisticated and consistent. My skin did not break out the next day (or at all this week!) and my make up stayed matte all night. I have already recommended her to many friends for weddings and events this summer. I recently traveled to NYC to get married and Cassandra was AMAZING at my hair and makeup. Having come from London I had to prebook an artist before arriving and hope for the best. Cassandra put my mind at ease from the moment I contacted her and it was one area I never had to worry about leading up to the wedding. From the initial email, she was so quick to respond and made me feel like she genuinely cared and wanted to do the best she could. She was in constant contact before and as promised was available for a trial as soon as I arrived. She completely got the brief from the photos I had sent and was really open to feedback and happy to tweak to make it perfect. On the actual day she was on time, sweet, chatty and the make up and hair was perfect - she was a pro at helping me fit my hair piece/veil. She started getting me ready 3 hours before the ceremony and from that moment on the day was lovely. She is great at keeping nerves at bay at the same time being there as the excitement builds. I am so happy about choosing Cassie as my Hair and MakeUp Artist for my wedding. She really knows what she is doing and she always tries to work with you so you will have your dream look on your big day. I went to a trial a few weeks before our wedding and showed Cassie some of the hairstyles and MakeUp that I liked. Together we decided what to go with and it came out great. There were a few things I wanted to change and she was able to modify it the way I was imagining. On the day of the wedding Cassie was well prepared and knew exactly what to do after the trial. Everything came out perfect, I got so many compliments on my hair and MakeUp. Cassie is such a sweet and understanding person. While getting ready she was trying to keep me calm as we were running way behind the schedule and everything seemed to go wrong. I hired Cassandra this past Thursday to come to my apartment and do my hair and makeup for my boyfriend's big surprise 30th birthday. I was impressed by not only her professionalism, but how calming she was to talk to. When I came across Tatiana's Instagram page, she instantly became my top HMU choice. I even fell in love with one of the hairstyles that she posted, and I was dying to have it for my wedding reception. Sadly, her services were pricier than I had hoped. After pondering about it for a bit, I decided that it is an investment and I would have regrets if I didn't choose Tatiana. So I quickly booked her and even scheduled a HMU trial too. Through our online communications, I discovered Tatiana was very responsive, detailed, straightforward, and professional. You won't believe how many HMU artists lack some of these traits. When we met for the first time at my HMU trial in her Ktown studio, I was surprised by how funny and friendly she is in person. The trial went really well, and my decision to go with her was further validated. I liked that she constantly made sure I was happy with what she was doing instead of waiting until she was done with everything to check in with me. She was very receptive to feedback and made corrections swiftly. Whenever she had a better idea, she made it known gently. For example, she used cluster lashes on me so they're a lot more comfortable than the usual falsies. The communication didn't stop there though. After the trial, she emailed me asking for additional feedback and to see how the HMU look held up after I left her studio. I decided to ask her to change the style of my bangs and make the updo higher. Though we didn't get to test out these new asks first, she implemented the changes really well. We both loved the wedding day look more than the trial. Aside from great communication, she is also very punctual. Tatiana and her partner arrived early at my hotel even though it was already an early start. The only unfortunate event was that both my mom and sister-in-law weren't happy with their hairstyles, which were done by Tatiana's partner. I think this could've easily been solved if they listened and prepared inspo pictures in advance, so I don't think Tatiana's team is to blame. My makeup stayed pretty intact throughout my wedding reception, but a piece of hair did get loose. It wasn't a big deal though.

When I called to book an appointment, she said she moved to the bay area and I thought JACKPOT!! My cousin got married in Sonoma Valley and we hired her and her team for hair and make-up. We decided to go with the platinum package. IT WAS WELL WORTH IT!!! I felt confident in Siobhan's ability to cut my hair into the style I showed her due to her years of experience, and she nailed it. I came back a few days later and Terrance added blonde highlights to complete my desired look. Terrance is very knowledgeable and explains every aspect of the process. It was such a relaxing experience. In the end my color came out beautifully and my curls still feel healthy and bouncy. I left the salon feeling confident and more like myself with this elevated look. I also feel comfortable in the salon and staff is very kind and attentive. 10/10 experience!

The staff was not friendly, the blowout was lackluster at best. They acted annoyed at my presence. When I requested a strand of hair be curled there was obvious irritation from the stylist.
