I hate leaving a bad review, but my experience at Cassano's recently justifies it. Went to Cassano's after a funeral. We had 2 long tables, 12-14 at one, 8-10 at the other. A lovely young lady came to our table, introduced herself and stated she would be our server. Drink orders were placed, drinks arrived in good time. This young lady was at our table with pencil and order pad in hand ready to take our order. At this point another employee approached and stated she would be our server, that lovely young lady had to leave. Appetizer, sandwich and pizza orders were placed. Apps arrived, I didn't sample any but was told they were good. Saving my appetite for the pizza I ordered. Sidenote: at this point another patron sat down at a table and was waited on and placed an order. Pizzas and sandwiches start arriving. The guy across the table and I did not get our pizzas. A little while later we were still waiting, server approaches to see if we need anything, guy across from me says he and I don't have our pizzas. She states ours were in oven and be done shortly. A few minutes later she brings his pizza out. I figure she only carries one at a time and going to get mine. At this point I noticed the patron in my side note above gets served his pizza. So, a while later she comes back to our table and asks if there is anything we need. Lady sitting on my left: "yes, a pizza". Server: "what pizza"? Lady to my left: "her pizza". At this point I told server "don't bother bringing my pizza, I don't want it, never mind". Server: "are you sure you don't want your pizza"? Me: "no, everyone here is done and we are getting ready to leave, I wanted it 20 mins ago". Server: "would you like me to box it for you"? Me: "no, I do not want to take it with me". I had a little over 2 hr drive home, didn't want to eat on the road and didn't want to have to smell it on the ride home, I was hungry dammit. At this point I went to use restroom before my long drive home. As we were leaving, we noticed the lovely young lady who we were told had to leave was working behind the counter. The one who seemed to have her shit together before being ran off by another employee. In the parking lot I was told that our server passed out the individual checks to the other long table with our group, but for our table the server sat all the checks down by one patron and pretty much said for the table to figure out who's check was who's. Sooo, we have bad service AND have to pass our on checks around? I can honestly say I have never had that from any server ever. I have had some disappointing dining experiences, and try to point out the positive as best I can. I absolutely cannot do that here. Start to finish it was a disaster. I hope to visit Hannibal again, it's a lovely town, but I will never eat here. read more

Hours are wrong here as well. Only open until 10pm. Either people are closing earlier than management knows or the hours on here are wrong. Either way, walked in at 9:45... was told I couldn't sit down to eat because they are closing in 15 minutes. Can't rate the food, but if it's as poor as the service, probably not a good place to patronize. read more

My family really likes this place. We almost always stop here when traveling through. The pizza is thin and crispy. They cut it into small squares and it is gone before you know it. They also have really good salads and some of the best thousand island dressing I have had. If it is busy, the service can be slow so keep that in mind if the parking lot is busy. read more

This place has my favorite pizza ever. It is a staple of Quincy/Hannibal. I grew up on this pizza so to me it tastes like my childhood.

this place was a pit shop on the way to stl and was delicious. We arrived during what appeared to be their busiest time and we could most definitely tell them we're struggling to keep up with the demand. After a bit of waiting and asking multiple employees, we received a table. The dining room as a whole was nothing to and there were many tables that were dirty. The service was all over the place, but we finally got food. The pizza is a thin crust and it was steaming hot. We also got onion rings and the cheese garlic bread. The onion rings were fantastic and we would 100% get them again. The cheese bread was okay, but I would recommend trying another appetizer. Here at Cassano's I've enjoyed several different subs and different pizzas. specifically the Mom's Big Cheese Pizza, the Pizza Cheese Steak Sub & French Fries, Onion Rings and the Fried Mushrooms. They were all very delicious. I can't wait for the next meal coming from Cassano's. I can't say what eating in the inside but it seemed to be a quiet and cozy. I carried out each of my meals. Slow slow service, food is acceptable. You walk in and there is no where to sit and most of the tables have dirty dishes on them. This is the norm, not the exception. They do have the best chef salad in Hannibal. read more

Not sure if the blonde young lady working the front was having a bad day or what yesterday but I would not tolerate my employees treating my customers the way I was treated. When It boils down to it she seemed beyond pissed that I came to purchase a soda and my girlfriend using the restroom. This young lady also asked me why I didn't just go to the gas station if I only wanted a soda. This walking attitude literally laughed at me when I went to pay with my card. My girlfriend also ended up ordering 2 additional sodas and fried mushrooms for our friends in the car. I would terminate any employee IMMEDIATELY if they were to act this way. Right before I left she literally scowled at me and gave me a dirty look. Message to the owner: continue to employ people that are miserable in life with attitudes then you will lose customers like you did in this situation. Message to the walking attitude: If you continue to not appreciate your job then I'm sure you will NOT ever do better then typing buttons on a register while rolling your eyes. Traveling through Hannibal MO and stopped at Cassano's for lunch. Lots of parking and spacious interior, it wasn't crowded. Ordered a personal pan thin crust. It soon arrived and met all my expectations- thin crust, nicely carmelized, and delicious! Perfect little pick me up on a long road trip! We tried this place despite the yelp reviews and 3 stars rating. I am so glad we took a chance. The pizza was very good and the toppings were fresh! We split a 12" Vics cheese Special and it was definitely enough for two people. Yes they use provolone cheese instead of mozzarella but it clearly says it on the menu. Also it's pretty good with provolone. Something different. Its served on cardboard which is also different but really smart. We didnt wait long to get our food and the waitress was very attentive to our drinks! I definitely suggest you stop if you are in the mood for pizza! read more

The first visit, it took them 2 HOURS to bring us our order.....at the table next to us, TWO SEPERATE parties sat down after us, ordered, ate their meal, and left BEFORE our order arrived. And today, we ordered mushrooms and onion rings as appetizers before our sandwich and pizza. They brought out everything at the same time AND EVERYTHING was COLD. Each time I come here the service gets a little worst and the place seems like they just don't appreciate it as much as they should or as much as I do. Oh boy, do I hate to write bad reviews but here we are. The purpose of this review is to point out flaws in a constructive way. If I were the manager or owner of this restaurant, I would need to know what my clientele really think of my product and/or service. After looking at a few other places to order from, we decided to go with Cassano's despite having an overall lower rating. The other places had higher ratings, but under a dozen reviews, so I figured at least this place was more established and probably had more legitimate reviews. The Order and delivery: We ordered two large pizzas and cheese garlic bread and a few beverages for delivery. The guy on the other end of the phone did a great job taking my order and taking our money. Right after we paid for it, he let us know it would be a staggering 1 hour and 15 minute wait and hung up. An hour and 20 minutes later I called them back and the person said it would be another 10 minutes. 15-20 minutes later the driver showed up and delivered the pizza. The food: Despite the disappointing amount of time it took to arrive this is where the majority of our disappointment arrived. Let me preface this by stating that I used to work at a pizza place as a teenager and into my 20s. This is not how pizza is supposed to be. The pizzas arrived almost cold. The crust was raw, soft and frankly, awful. The cheese had barely melted before it was pulled out of the oven. No golden crust, no browned cheese; in fact, some of the pizza didn't appear to have much cheese on it (despite being extra cheese). It just wasn't consistent. The cheese itself was like a gelatin in texture and as I mentioned before, barely melted. The whole thing reminded me of my pizza days and this pizza was like a half baked pizza. One you take home and bake for another few minutes before consuming. The cheese garlic bread was ok in that it was edible, but not something I'd order again. All in all, I am betting this pizza was made and pulled out of the oven within 15 minutes after I ordered it. It sat for another hour (even though it was undercooked) and then was delivered in about 20 minutes after that. Maybe one day if I ever return to this area, I'll forget how awful this place was tonight and give them another chance. TL:DR- Awful experience; 1.5 hour delivery. Cold and undercooked. The only part of my order that came out good was the 2 liter of soda. Save this place for an in-person visit so hopefully it doesn't take an hour and a half to arrive cold, and if it's undercooked, you can send it back to the kitchen to have it fixed quickly. read more

After waiting 20 minutes in line, I chose the Deluxe 16 inch pizza, and was surprised to find that the weekend special included a pitcher of soda with any 16 in pizza order (free refills included!) The pizza itself...amazing. The thin crust, combined with the plentiful, but not over-the-top toppings, made each square slice a special treat. I found the restaurant to be crowded, VERY busy, but well maintained and extremely clean. I hope to visit Hannibal again in the fall, and will look forward to a second pizza here! read more

I was impressed with this Hannibal Pizzaria. I had a grilled chicken salad and a small pizza (original crust) with some hot peppers. The service was quick, the staff was helpful in answering my questions (what is pizza, does it come on a bun, can I have it without pork, etc.) even though there was a lot of traffic in and out of the door. Cassano's offers delivery, and carry-out was a popular option this particular evening. Parking is easy in their private lot. read more
