Bad chiropractor. He could never align my spine correctly. If it didn't go into place the first time, he would just give up. He also ripped me off for custom orthotics that I paid $300.00 for but just gave me Foot levelers, which I found out you can just get on your own for about $50.00. Dr. Cassara is one of the nicest doctor who actually knows what he's doing. After a sudden car accident, I started to have this terrible body/joint aches even if nothing was broken in my body. I still had to wait 2 weeks to see an orthopedic. I didn't want to wait that long, and my friend suggested me to see a chiropractor. So I searched up a chiropractic near my home, and Dr. Cassara's office turned out to be one of the closest and also have an appointment available within 24 hours. He really takes time to examine your body, and makes sure you don't have any surprise. Moreover his staffs are all very friendly and accommodating, unlike staffs at some other medical centers. Dr. Cassara and his staffs came up with a reasonable payment plan for me, and when a family member of mine decided to get another chiropractic treatment with me, they were able to arrange something as well. Getting documents for the payment and insurance was very easy, too. If you need to see a chiropractor, I highly recommend Dr. Cassara. Just be careful that the practice can be a bit crowded, righteously so (never experienced any trouble for this). read more

I have been going to Cassara Chiropractic since the beginning of April 2015, and I wish that I had gone sooner. I had severe pain and issues with my lower back and headaches every other day (3x a week) that I assumed that I would always have to deal with for a long time. As a new patient, you will go through a consultation and a back screening where Dr. Cassara determines where the nerve endings are irritated, subluxation in the spine, etc. You will then return for a 2nd visit to go over the findings, Dr. Cassara's recommendation on a treatment plan, and the ball is now in your court. You may decide to continue treatment, take time to review his findings and schedule an appointment at a later date, etc. I started with 3x a week, now in a 2x week cycle. I can tell a difference in my back, the pain is reduced, and my headaches have gone away completely, with an occasional tired headache every one in a awhile; nothing like before. He also provides different therapy plans to incorporate in the treatment such as heating pads, neck posture pro, and others. He does accept some health insurances too. Ruth and Sherry are very pleasant and are great assets to the clinic. Dr. Cassara also has a wonderful masseuse named Michelle who provides massages both 30mins and 60mins in his office. I have been going to her once a week as part of a treatment plan, and she has made a huge difference for me too. Michelle has also given me the best massage I have had in SJ to date. The pries are very reasonable, and she gives you the full time that you paid for until other spas and salons. I highly recommend. The clinic definitely provides a family/home experience where you are happy to enter the clinic and are always greeted with a smile and by name. read more

I've been to 4 chiropractors in past and for the most part, okay with mediocre results, with some really trying to make a profit in overly pitching purchasing add ons. However, at Cassara, what separates this practice from the rest, besides having an amazing staff, is Cassara. One day, he asked me how I was doing. But instead of telling him what my pain issues were, I asked him what he thought they were based in his own observations. He looked at the alignment of my back, how my legs, feet and shoulders lined up, and felt inflamed areas in my back. Based on his own observations, he told me what pain he thought I might be experiencing and nailed it! I have had sciatic pain all the way down to my ankle on one side, which is a bizarre pain to feel. As he (and I through walking and stretching)was working on correcting this, it took approximately 6 months to correct and over time, the sciatic sensation shortened (he said the moving up / shortening of pain areas: ankle, knee, thigh, then hip may a sign of improvement and it was). Also, what separates Cassara from other Chiropractors is he always encourages you complete a set of stretches that will in turn, strengthen your core. I'm at the right place, and sticking to it! Also, Cassara is a a very compassionate, sympathetic person who genuinely cares about all his patients and their progress. I see him now regularly to maintain the now good health of my back. If I experience any flair ups, his staff is very accommodating to get you in as soon as their able, and he adjusts my back before worsening. I have only been in Dr. Cassara, and Dr. Baney's care for a few weeks, but I felt compelled to write a review right now! I went to Dr. Cassara because I have had chronic back pain for most of my adult life and severe lower back pain had become unmanageable over the past few months. I found him on line and went for an initial evaluation based on his reviews on Yelp. Seems like an odd way to find a doctor but positive feedback is what we are all looking for so I gave it a try. My intake evaluation was extremely thorough including tests that diagram the spine and how your spine is functioning. Dr. Cassara explained everything to my husband and myself and I agreed to come 3 times a week to begin to get my spine moving in the right direction. In just three short weeks, I feel a huge improvement in my overall back and neck pain. Dr. Baney does my adjustments and was very sensitive to my reactions to the first couple of treatments and tailored my treatment towards loosening my very tight muscles and taking a gentler approach on the discs. While my lower back still has some sharp pain now and then, it is no where near where it was when I started treatment, and I recover from the flare ups very quickly. It's not just the doctors that make this practice so excellent, it's the entire staff. You are greeted warmly the moment you walk in the door and they take care of any and all needs you might have immediately! Today I asked if I could ask Dr. Cassara a question at his convenience and they immediately put me in a room and brought him in, where he answered my question thoroughly. I would say there is "Care" in the healthcare in this practice, and that is something that is hard to find today. Not only do I feel better, I feel as though I'm learning a lot, as both doctors are good educators as well as good practitioners. If you are reading this you may be suffering from back pain. Over two years ago, I had suffered from a bulging disc in my spin and went through my primary physician who prescribed pain killers, anti-inflammatory meds and Physical Therapy. It temporarily relieved my symptoms and got me back on my feet, but I noticed a slow deterioration over that time. "Normal" activities like playing golf, carrying grocery bags, driving my car (an hour or more) even bending over to pick up pots and pans gave me chronic pain. My next stage was injecting my spine with needles or back surgery. After consultations with my doctor (who was not in favor of me seeing a chiropractor) and my family I decided to go and see Dr. Cassara. BTW, my wife, who is a physician, did encourage me to go, but I was frankly skeptical about how chiropractic therapy might help. Let me conclude quickly by telling you it was the best decision I ever made. I want to be careful by telling you no one is a miracle worker, but after four weeks of seeing Dr. Cassara, I have never felt better. Most of my pain is gone (still have muscle stiffness/soreness) but the shooting pain down my right leg is gone and I have feeling back in my feet. Dr. Cassara is a gentle doctor who fully explained everything about my condition, his treatment methods and how he could help me. The debate between MDs and Chiropractors will rage on, but there is no debate in my case, that seeing Dr. Cassara has significantly improved my condition and my life style. I came here when I found myself having a lot of lower back pain. It was probably caused my chasing a toddler around and picking him up. Dr. Casarra did a wonderful job in providing me with weekly adjustments and my back has been feeling much better. The Dr and staff are friendly and very accommodating when my little guy has to tag along for appointments. The only thing I would note is that this practice will not adjust you until after you have an evaluation appointment. I was pretty disappointed to discover this my first time in while I was on the verge of tears because of the pain.
