    Damaged Fabric

    ***Just Want To Make Everyone Aware About This Business*** Cassidy Glass in Gardendale, AL Installation of a new windshield was done on my Audi Q7 by a technician at Cassidy Glass. I used this company because it was recommended through a local body shop that I have used and thought that I would receive quality service. After the installation and after the technician left, I noticed that he cut the fabric that is vertical to my windshield. I called the owner, Eric Cassidy, and he assured me that he would come and repair the fabric or have it professionally done that following week. He did not arrive at my home as stated; however, he sent the same technician that damaged the fabric. He stated that he would try to repair the damage or take it back to have it repaired. Upon examining the damages, the technician stated that he could not repair the damage; therefore, he would take the cloth piece and bring it back the next day. Meanwhile, while he is removing the piece from inside my vehicle, his hands were filthy; thus, dirtying the roof of my light gray interior. I asked if he had gloves or plan to clean his mess. His answer was, "No." I did not see him the next day nor did anyone call. The body shop that recommended this company was contacted because I wanted to make it known to them about the quality of service I was receiving thus far and to get ideas of purchasing a replacement piece for the damages that had been done. Two days later, Eric Cassidy contacted me, himself, and stated that he was bringing the repaired piece and would place it back in my car that morning. An hour or so later, Eric Cassidy contacted me a second time to ask why I contacted the body shop about the incident. His tone was rude, demeaning as well as harsh; however, I was polite because I needed him to finish the job his company was paid to do. Upon Eric Cassidy's arrival, I asked to see the damaged piece prior to him installing it in my vehicle; it was still damaged and filthy. He stated that he placed glue on the fabric to hold it down; however, there was nothing else he could do. Of course I questioned him about quality work and about completing a job with destroying property and not rectifying those damages. He stated that if I wanted flawless work I should have taken my vehicle to Audi and not called his business. I explained that it was my assumption that I would receive flawless work. I did not want to trade a cracked windshield for rips, tears, and oil/dirt stains on the interior of my vehicle. Had there been a "Buyer Be Aware" on your service, I would not have contacted Cassidy Glass. Eric Cassidy continued with his rudeness by stating that he did not have to install the piece. He would just leave it on the seat of my car. I stated that he could do as he wished, because at that point, he was belligerent and I wanted him off my property. His disposition was so out of character of a businessman, an owner of a company, a decent human being that he asked if I was recording him. I was not, and I stated that to him but made it clear that I could because he was on my property. After making several derogatory comments towards my expectations of wanting my vehicle repaired properly, he finally finished and left.

    These guys did great had it done in less than an hour job looks amazing they even cleaned the windshield before they left Took a look at the other windshield on my other vehicle and said they could repair that too and we will be scheduling soon to have that trucks repaired as well

    There were unexpected issues that arose during the reassembly phase of my initial service that were…read morethought to have been mitigated by replacement of a relay, but after taking the vehicle home I had a variety of strange error messages and difficulty with the car including such issues as unexpected enabling of the traction control system, messages to check engine that mysteriously cleared on their own, another service message that said to see the manual and required use of "limp home mode" which also mysteriously cleared afterward. I was unable to unlock the car except for using the key manually, and so forth. Upon returning to the shop, the technicians did a thorough review of the error messages and - due to a recurrence of battery related messages sprinkled throughout all the other error messages saved by the system - hypothesized that the issue was actually cascading from a failing battery. Although this was a coincidental occurrence in terms of timing, I was offered a really good quote on the cost of the battery and no labor costs for changing the battery. Since that time everything has operated perfectly. I am so extremely satisfied with the extra mile service provided by Sherrill Paint & Body and I would recommend them to anyone in need of paint & body work as they are hardworking, generous, and open about their repair process. Not to mention, the body work I initially went in for was completely flawlessly and the car was returned to me in such wonderful clean condition inside and out. I could not be happier with my experience.

    I am so very disappointed…read more Brought my 2 year old Honda CR-V in because an 18 wheeler side-swiped me. The damage was only about $3,000, so not too terrible. We picked up the vehicle and yesterday noticed paint drips on the door.I will be taking it back, and I hope they stand by their work and fix this.
