I was able to make the couch bed but they need to provide more sheets in the room so you doint have to ask

I really doint think that this place is worth all that we paid for it. The water park is smalll and the room was small. There were no food options on property other than breakfast. The place was dirty as well multiple things closed daily in the water park. Staff were nice wish there were more around the resort.

First Impressions: * Front desk guy, very long nails, made a rude comment about a customer who called about towels * Room was not properly cleaned; brown curly hair and crumbs in beds. * Trash (disposable syringe package) left behind the toilet * Shower would not drain throughout entire stay (4 days), hair from previous customers shaving comes out of drain upon pooling. * Seemingly understaffed, stressed out employees - visibly miserable

Place looks nice, pool is kinda boring but still sorta fun, service was great and, food was good

I was really skeptical after reading reviews but now I'm wondering what these people were expecting. Check in was 4pm which I didn't realize until I looled at the reviews the day of. We got here a little early and figured from the other review saying that the rooms were never ready on time. We were just going to hang out at the indoor waterpark. It was 3 PM, but my surprise they checked us in and got us in our room with no issues. The floors are laminated which I like because being at a waterpark and inconsiderate people going into their rooms wet can make the carpets start to stink. I have been to other indoor water parks/hotels where the whole place just smelled like chlorine. This was NOT the case here. I saw others complain about the beds and yes, they are not the best, but I slept fine and have seen worse. I will say do not expect anyone to sleep on the "sleeper chair" bed because it's hard and I can imagine anyone ever being able to sleep on that. There was a nice size mini fridge, microwave and a table for two. I saw how expensive breakfast was so I opted to bring stuff for breakfast. A half gallon of milk, lunchables, strawberries, grapes, etc all fit in the fringe with no issue. I didn't see one big in our room which was my biggest fear from the reviews but, nothing. It was also stated the rooms were run day, I didn't see that. There were some spots on the wall where paint was missing which looked like someone knocked into it and messed up the wall. When you have kids acting crazy in the rooms this is to be expected. Was the bathroom immaculate? No. But it was clean, enough towels and little shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soap. There is a hairdryer in the room. There are also hooks in the shower to hang your wet swim stuff which is nice so it's not dripping on the floor all night. My kids enjoyed the activity's in the lobby such as game time, story time and the dance party (twice). As for the waterpark. The kids loved it. So much so they wanted to leave Cedar Point early to come back and swim more before we had to head home. I particularly enjoyed the hot tub. The first day we were here the basketball hoop pool was closed and one of the water slides on the activity structure but my kids didn't notice. The second day just the slide was still closed but everything else was open. There is really enough for any age to enjoy. The other amenities we didn't utilize were the arcade, mini golf, bowling and escape room. We also did not eat any food here. We did order DoorDash once while here and just a heads up, you have to meet them at the lobby because staff will not let them bring it to you. Something to note. If you are a pass holder and you want to utilize the early entry, you have to ask for the pass at the front desk before heading to the park. There are changing rooms in the waterpark area with showers and changing tables. Overall I would say it's worth the money if you do it right. With my 10% off with my season pass holder status I paid around $170 for a basic room with two beds. This also includes 4 waterpark passes good for all day the day of check in and all day the day of check out. Considering what the price is for four waterpark passes for the day alone is, I would so you are getting a pretty good deal. We will be back again.

Also the prices at the gift shop are out of this world. Insane. The Lego set my grandson wanted was more than twice what it cost on Amazon. It was $29.99 in the kalahari store. On Amazon it was regularl 14.99 but on sale for 11.99. That is robbery. I wouldnt have bought it but my DIL had picked it out with my grandson, thinking it was $15 , as the other ones she was looking at were. Perhaps it was priced wrong. The room we booked was a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite with patio door to outside seating area. It was super spacious, clean and comfortable. The parking is quite a distance from the front entrance so if you have trouble walking you should use valet or have someone else in your party drop you off before they park. Also if you have a wagon or are using hotel cart to bring in your luggage you have cant use the boardwalk because it has 2 sets of stairs. You have to go the long way around, the roadway that requires you to walk up an incline. You will get a good workout. The waterpark was good. The kids area was boring though. A bucket dumps water out occasionally but other than that you just walk up to different levels and then down again. Water comes down from above in some areas like a hard rain. The baby area has 4 swings and 2 little slides. It is a tiny area. We enjoyed the wave pool which has skylights above so it is bright. The other areas are kind of dark and gloomy. Overall it was a good trip. Was disappointed about the price gouging at the gift shop but I should have been more aware of what I was paying.

We contacted resort staff three separate times with serious concerns during our stay and saw no action taken--only empty apologies. That lack of response was extremely frustrating and made it feel like guest experience was not a priority. Going back to the room for a break didn't help. Our room faced a solid wall, did not have a fireplace as advertised, and we dealt with constant loud door slamming and wall pounding from nearby cleaning staff. It was not relaxing and made it difficult to rest. The conditions in the waterpark were also unacceptable. The lines for the water slides smelled strongly of urine, as if people were urinating while standing in line, which was extremely unpleasant and unhygienic. The wave pool was especially concerning. Chunks of concrete were breaking off the bottom of the pool, and I cut my foot on one of these pieces, about the size of a penny. There was concrete grit throughout the water, which was very unsafe - I gave chunks to the staff to emphasize my concerns. On top of all of this, everything was freezing cold. The wave pool water was freezing, the slide water was freezing, and the hot tubs were not hot at all despite hour-long wait lines with 40+ people. Even the indoor temperature felt cold. For the cost of this stay, none of this was acceptable. Overall, this experience was not worth what we paid and fell far below expectations.

The price for a family suit on a Wednesday with 4 passes to the water park is very reasonable. Upon arrival check in was simple and went pretty quickly. You are allowed to start your fun before the room is ready, which is good because the waterpark closes at 8 and opens at 10 am. You can also continue to play after check out. We found this very nice because you wouldn't get much time to play if not. Our room was ready early but our bands didn't open our room so they gave us new ones. The girls working were friendly and helped us sort it out quickly. We were disappointed to find hair in both of our beds. We called and requested fresh bedding because we wanted to get playing. They never came but they did give us a new room, also with hair on the sheets. Our cleaning person came in and we watched her replace the pillowcases with clean right off the cart and guess what? Still hair! This is a laundry issue but we were relieved to know it wasn't because our beds were dirty. This was our only negative issue. Our room was clean and spacious. The pull out sofa wasn't the most comfy but we were so wore out we slept well. The Waterpark wasn't very crowded and it was very fun for our boys! My grandson said he felt like a VIP and they will both remember this fun time. The workers keep a very good eye on things. We felt safe. There's a Dunkin Donuts in the lobby and you can order on an app which I recommend because I ordered at the kiosk and waited 30 mins for 2 coffees. ($9) I would recommend ordering ahead and pick it up when you get a text to save waiting too long. We brought in snacks and drinks to our room. We had a fridge but no microwave. Overall we all agree it was a great time and we will return. The kids loved everything and they said their review is "great"!

The kiosk check in process was a breeze, and I LOVE that water park wristbands double as room keys because it's one less thing to worry about losing. The onsite Dunkin offered good food at reasonable prices. The drinks were really good and felt like they justified their price because they were huge. The hotel rooms were very nice. The arcade was nice, and provided a good variety of games. The bad: Paying for parking is a huge turn-off. It's $20 per day just to park in an ordinary parking lot, which seems like an excessive charge that the resort knows it can get away with because people have to park. Strategies like that feel like they're trying to squeeze every nickel and dime out of patrons. The water park, itself, isn't great. There's two nice-sized tube slides and some very short body slides. The lazy river is also very short and filled with empty tubes in a way that feels claustrophobic. The hot tubs are nice. But it just doesn't feel like there's anything particularly exciting to do. Once you've been down the slides a few times and checked out the hot tubs, that's mostly it unless you're a little kid (there's a few activities that are geared for young kids). Overall: If you want a good resort experience, you can get it here. If you want a good water park experience, you've got much better options nearby.

The experience is one that I've come to cherish. However, there are several drawbacks I would 100% recommend renting a cottage instead of staying at Hotel Lakeside (which is the reason for such the mediocre review). The rooms, while quaint, were very dirty in the corners and I wouldn't recommend looking under the bed unless you're a dust bunny aficionado. We were told that we were going to get a kitchenette which we did not receive (and apparently there isn't one in the entire hotel). My room was nice enough (besides for the dust), but my grandparents' room's air conditioning was not working and the room had a musty odor. Thankfully they were able to get the bridal suite on the second floor but even then, the bathroom was so small we were worried they would fall and hurt themselves. In terms of food, you don't really have many options. Besides for the hotel's restaurant, there are some coffee shops that aren't open for dinner, sloopy's and the New Mexican restaurant. The hotel's food is delicious but because there are only a few items on the menu, they can get old rather quickly. Sloopy's is nice for a few meals but eating that much unhealthy food will not make your stomach very happy. This is the other reason I recommend getting a cottage. Just so you could make your own home cooked meals instead of relying on eating out. Lastly, the porch. This is the most redeeming quality to the hotel. Looking out over the lake in the covered porch with everyone quietly reading or on their phones is incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating. In the end, I would recommend coming to Lakeside 100%. However, stay at the hotel at your own risk and definitely not for more than four days.

The guy who checked us in told us that the pools closed at 9 but the hot tubs closed at 11. That didn't make sense to us. So we left the park early so our kids could play in the pool just to find out they're both open until 11. Both pools and both the pools and hot tubs.
