We started with peach martinis (highly recommend) along with the fried okra, crab soup, wedge salad, and beet salad. Everything was fresh and full of flavor--great way to kick off the meal. For the main course we tried the flounder prepared a few different ways--one fried, one pan-seared, and one bronzed--and each one was fantastic. And then two orders of scallops which were incredibly buttery and cooked perfectly. We wrapped it all up with a slice of Georgia pecan pie that was the perfect sweet ending. Great food, great service, and a really fun night. We'll definitely be back.

It's the little things, after all. The taco's were in the 2-3 bite range, each being carefully made to order. I was particularly fond of the georgia new york strip steak, paired with chimichurri sauce. The corn tortillas were doubled up and toasted just right to not get too soggy. Another hit was the duck confit carnitas with salsa verde. Very approachable portions and the flavors paired well together. If you're looking for happy hour snacks, I'd recommend 3-4 tacos, a little more if you're seeking to fill your stomach.

Quiet property, rooms well maintained and recently updated, great marsh views, and minutes away from the best restaurants on the island. Super friendly and accommodating staff, especially Gabriel, Michaela, and Khellen (probably misspelled those last two). I did have a minor billing error, but the folks at the front desk made sure to resolve it. My only dings on the room would be the indoor humidity level (but hey, you're steps away from the marsh, what do you expect) and the shower being in need of a deep cleaning (bit of mold and soap scum buildup). Also--and this is super minor--there is no shelf in the shower, so you're stuck storing your toiletries on the floor if you don't want to use the hotel-provided stuff. Oh, and there's no lifeguard on duty at the pool, so it can get a bit rowdy depending on how many teenagers are around. All in all, I'm very happy with my stay here, and would definitely recommend this property if you don't want to deal with the craziness around the south end of the island. Also, for the other reviewer who said they had to haul their luggage up stairs... there are ramps at every building. You just have to look for them.

This was very very disappointing…read more My husband and I stayed at Sea Palm Resort to celebrate our anniversary after traveling all the way from Maryland. We had been looking forward to this trip and expected a higher level of service based on the resort's reputation. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet those expectations. BTW, all that texting they do before you arrive and checking in on you is purely theatrics. The room itself was spacious, and I really enjoyed the view of nature from our room. We even spotted what I believe was a bobcat in the distance, which was a nice surprise. However, there were several issues that affected our stay. First, the floors did not appear to have been properly mopped before our arrival. There was hair in both the bedroom and the bathroom that appeared to have been left by previous guests. To confirm my concern, I wiped the floor with a damp paper towel, and it came back dirty. We reported this to the front desk, but no one ever came to address the issue. The shower gel was also disappointing. The product had been watered down so much that it was almost the consistency of water. It would shoot out of the dispenser instead of dispensing like a gel and produced almost no lather. That's kind of nasty to be honest dollar tree shower gel would have been better. It's giving "we are barely staying in business." The biggest issue was the air conditioning. It stopped working twice during our stay. We stayed there 3 nights and 2 of them there was no AC. Outside felt better than inside. Maintenance came out after the first report and got it running again, but only a few hours later it stopped working once more. With temperatures outside exceeding 100°F, the room became very uncomfortable. We had to sleep with the deck door open because even the fan was not working so there was no circulating air. Another disappointment was housekeeping. We stayed for three nights (Saturday through Monday), did not have a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, yet no one serviced our room during our stay. We never received fresh towels, the room was never cleaned, and no one checked in to see if we needed anything. Apparently you have to request housekeeping and telling them the floor is dirty isn't enough to get housekeeping to the room. Another concern was that we saw roaches in the room, regular household roaches. In all of my years of traveling, I have never stayed at a hotel where I encountered roaches, so this was very disappointing and concerning. Overall, the room itself had potential, and I appreciated the peaceful setting and beautiful natural surroundings. However, the cleanliness, lack of housekeeping, diluted bath products, and repeated air conditioning issues prevented this from feeling like the upscale resort experience we expected. I hope management addresses these concerns because the property has potential, but based on this visit, it did not live up to its reputation.
