Stopped by for a quick lunch here because they had well-reviewed sandwiches and outdoor seating since we had our dog with us. My order was taken quickly and I waited about 8 to 10 minutes for two sandwiches. I got the Roman Holiday sandwich (4/5) - Ham, Italian Dry Salami, Genoa Salami, Provolone, Lettuce, Onion, Tomato, Pepperoncini, Olive Tapenade, Oregano, Oil & Vinegar on a Sourdough Roll. It was pretty good, and had a decent amount of meat. My partner enjoyed his Cali sandwich with Turkey, avocado, and jack cheese. Parking can be tough during busy hours. We found a spot around the block and walked.

While taking a cruise down the Pacific coast highway, I found myself starting to get hungry. After a brief stop at the nearby state beach, I saw some signs for a local deli and decided to follow them. Checking on the Yelp app, they were well rated and were exactly what I was looking for in a light meal. I stopped in and ate my lunch on their patio! They have a great selection of sandwiches, salads, italian inspired cold salads, drinks, and fresh baked goods. I decided on a chopped salad, adding the salami and provolone as recommended. I also got a chocolate chip cookie, as they were smart to put them right next to the register... looking all appealing and such. My wait was only about 10 minutes and my name was called. This salad was absolutely eye-catching, and unlike some other salads, really made me want to eat and enjoy it! Plenty of toppings, and it came with a nice light dressing. The patio was comfortable, quiet, tucked by a garden and just off a side street. I did get to chat with one of the locals, who encouraged me to move to the area. Maybe some day. All in all, flavor was great, I felt the value was there, and I love to see a traditional Italian deli like this. Go and support them, you wont regret it!

3.5 stars. Came here early while parking was still easy to get. Inside is small but they also have outdoor seating. Ordered apple strudel and cappuccino. Apple strudel was decent, and I appreciate the lavazza espresso, however the milk was steamed much too hot. Have also been here for sandwiches and they are also good quality and prices are good for the area

The service was good and friendly but matcha was weak and tasteless. Maybe I should have asked for a couple of extra matcha shots.

Great local Italian deli! I love stopping by here after work and getting the Cali sandwich as well as their pesto pasta salad. Both are delicious! The service is hit or miss, and sometimes the sandwiches take a while to make, but the food is always excellent! There are a few tables outside to sit at, but this is mostly a grab and go spot. My favorite thing to do is take my food and walk to seacliff beach and eat there!

We were driving in the area and were hungry. Came across this deli and wanted to check it out! SO glad we did! This place is definitely a hidden gem! They have more than just amazing deli sandwiches! They have some yummy pastries, clam chowder, and even some warm plates like polenta! You can even get a mimosa, spritz or Bellini! Along with some coffee drinks! The man behind the counter was friendly and helpful with recommendations! The place is small but cute! With some outdoor tables to sit at. Or just take a little walk across the street to Seacliff beach! We ordered the Nonna Caprese, cement ship and a Cali! We also got a funky monkey mocha blended drink and a little lemon hello cheesecake! Everything was fantastic!! So glad we discovered this place! Definitely going to be back a whole lot more!!

I checked them out on yelp and we decided on our way to the beach. We stopped and got a sandwiches. And of course they were delicious. Great service. The ambience was great cause it's Italian theme and I love Italian food.

    Tiny little sandwich lol

Place is hit or miss. Some days the sandwiches are huge and delicious, other times they rush it and you can tell. Today's sandwich was $15 and TINY lol, to the point we laughed when we picked it up. We even weighed it when we got home - 10 ounces even with the thin butcher paper around it. Sure it's a veggie sandwich- but bread shouldn't take up 75% of it and it still needs ingredients inside lol. I don't think one of the halves even had a full piece of mozzarella cheese on it - which is one of the main ingredients! All we could taste was the roll. So we prob won't be going back any time soon. For $15 an item you expect a filling sandwich and not a rushed sloppy bread plate...

    Cement Ship

Very good sandwiches!!! We ordered the cement ship one no changes and the other with sourdough sliced bread - loved the sourdough! Good amount of meat, sauce and bread! Would recommend stopping by. We brought our dog and ate on the patio, it was comfortable (no view of water tho)

Yum!! Interesting little spot located in an equally interesting area. Parking is ample, but you might need to walk a bit, pay a fee, or compete with tourists. Be prepared for anything. Seating is also limited, but... who cares? You can eat in your car or walk down to the beach & sit by the ocean. Prices are high, but quality & flavors are excellent. Owners are typically onsite & even make coffee. Bathroom is clean. Cash, card, Apple Pay accepted. Strong WiFi, recycling available onsite, & good selection of unique cold drinks or hot beverages. Only negative... staff is not cross-trained. This means that service stops if the cashier is busy elsewhere. Of course, this is a great opportunity for improvement. HELLO MANAGEMENT!! I suppose another negative is the dog owners who fail to control their dogs... it's unsafe & annoying when dogs are growling, barking, snarling, & pulling on their leashes to get to other dogs. SMH (also a risk mitigation issue for management)

The Cement (top) and Spring special (bottom). Get it!!!

I appreciated it being on the small side since I had so many other things to try. I got tomato and spinach and wish the tomato taste came through a bit more. Would get again. Key lime pie. 4/5. Tasted fresh and had a smooth texture with the right amount of tartness. Strawberry shortcake cookie. 4/5. Like a soft scone. More intense strawberry flavor than expected. Banana tart. 4/5. Could be stronger banana flavor. Maybe if they brûléed a banana on it. Good crust texture. Impressive how everything I tried tasted good considering their extensive menu. I waited in line for a ticket and then waited for my number to be called, but found out that I could have just walked to the end of the bakery to pickup at the counter in the corner. I would probably add a sign to make it a little more obvious for those new to the bakery, nonetheless the pastries were amazing and nothing else matters. Everything was sweet but balanced with acidity or nuttiness. Great mix of textures and the crust does not fall apart even after a whole day in the fridge and being manhandled into cut portions. I'd highly recommend this place for out-of-towners, as those that live there already know it's the best.

Great crispy crust, nice airy inside, not dense at all. Awesome for dipping in coffee. My only downside is the price. $6 for a French baguette... why? I'm waiting to see if it gives me any super powers. As for the chocolate chip cookie... perfect example of how looks can be deceiving. I know it's all preference, but it was just a basic cookie. No sea salt added for that something extra and no browned butter to be found. Just an ordinary, overly priced cookie. Sadly, does not win a spot for my top 5. Also, the gentleman at the counter was pretty frigid. Maybe a bad morning? Perhaps that's his personality. Who knows, but I wouldn't expect much at the counter as far as hospitality goes.
