I love the food here but I unfortunately took my 3 year old daughter to pick up our food today... while waiting, there was a lady in front of us that ordered a latte. When she got it she had asked the worker if there was supposed to be foam on top. The worker got frustrated with her and said I don't know what you are talking about. The lady left without her coffee because she had somewhere to be. After she left the worker paced back and forth behind the counter and called her a stupid f-ing bitch. I was at a ham radio event last month at Seacliff State Beach, Cali, and someone brought some yummy sandwiches from this deli. It's near one of our favorite restaurants, Manual's so I checked out their web site. Lo and behold, an Italian deli providing a St Patrick's day meal to go. Italian - Irish? Who knew? I put my name in for a couple of meals and picked them up in time for dinner. We were upsold on some cannoli for dessert. no problem there when the deli had so many choices. The staff were very friendly and attentive. This is a go-to place for treats, sandwiches, meals & desserts. Got home, plopped the food in the oven for warming, 30 minutes later we had an absolutely delicious meal. The corned beef was tender, and tasty. Hats off to Castelli's for that, and the whole meal. This place is great so happy to have something like this and Aptos. When you walk in you feel like you're walking into a deli in little Italy in San Francisco is so cute so unique. My son and I got three different types of sandwiches. Couldn't even tell you the name of them, but they were all amazing! All the young kids that work there were super helpful, very friendly and did a great job making all of our sandwiches. Bummer. I SOOOOOO wanted to love them and have a new place to grab food +beach. We got a croissant breakfast sandwich and sliced a sourdough breakfast sandwich. ZERO toasting on either sandwich. The egg was a sponge texture. Neither was edible. We also ordered the Cement (to-go). The bread was stale and had mold on it. NOTE: This sandwich is supposed to be toasted. The coffee cake muffin is compelling me to write this review. I was skeptical at first it looked a little dry and crusty but omg it was by far one of the best muffins I've ever had. So moist on the inside, had little clusters of the crumble on the inside. I would go back for just the muffin alone. Service was also very nice and friendly. read more

What a great coffee shop and deli. My husband and I had a sausage breakfast burrito and it was delicious! The owners are super warm and welcoming. We tried... * Hot Pastrami with pepper jack - Not quite what I was expecting. Pastrami in the middle was warm and tasty, but a bit too much bread with the lukewarm Sweet French roll for me. (I was expecting something like the Reefie at Reef Dog Deli Capitola and this just didn't compare.) I think next time I'll try the Reuben. * Nonna's Caprese on Gluten Free Bread - This was the surprisingly yummy sandwich. Slices of delicious turkey, mozzarella, pesto and tomato on a really good gluten free bread reminiscent of an artisan sprouted grain bread (versus the usual Francese Roll). The food is great. The service is super friendly. The ambiance is also nice and the place has an appealing new/modern design. I love this place but I stopped going after three visits. Why? Too slow! If there are more than a few people in line, it takes FOREVER to get your food. I visited three times during their first month after opening and each time I had to wait nearly 20 minutes for my order to be fulfilled. Yes, it was crowded but still - it's a deli for crying out loud - people don't expect to wait 15-20 minutes for food -- time most people don't have, especially during work. This is a huge problem and they are going to have to streamline their workflow/operations to be successful. I will gladly return when/if things improve. read more

Horrible service. I went to go get a bagel this morning. I got there at 11:55pm and there was a long line so it was 12pm when I got up to the front to order. The person right in front of me ordered from the breakfast menu with no problem, but when I asked just for a plain bagel and cream cheese from the breakfast menu they told me no even though the guy in front of me ordered it from it. Originally after explaining what happened to the cashier she said she can get me a bagel but then a guy from the back came up to her and said we can't order from the breakfast menu anymore because they put everything away. Had the pastrami sandwhich and it was god awful. Took them 20 minutes to make. Asked them for no pickle and extra onion and they put no onion and extra pickles. The pastrami was like salty bubblegum. Think it was because those goobers working there were too busy talking like it was comic con talking about Anime and video games nobody plays or likes.
