I have to say, this is the nicest dental office I have been to, with some of the most friendly staff I've met. Tandy is just phenomenal! She's incredibly warm and makes you feel welcome instantly. She explained how the services would go, asked about my dental history and broke down the insurance premiums in an easily understandable way. Christina is a one of a kind hygienist. She is personable, efficient and great at her job. She has already done wonders on my teeth! I hope she stays here and possibly becomes a second dentist at this facility. I haven't spent much time with Dr. Nab, although he seems very professional and not too pushy with recommending services. I will continue to go here and will recommend this clinic to others. The only things I would say the team could work on would be their music selection - it always seems to be on stations that seem totally out of place. Country and love songs do not work for this trendy office! Also, the amount of times they "remind" you of an appointment is a little much. They can be too persistent and can come off as slightly annoying. I can understand with an office in midtown, most kids forget about their appointments, but adults are responsible. One text reminder is sufficient. Anyway, all in all, a wonderful practice, friendly team with great service and clean surroundings. You should definitely check them out.

While Dr.Nab is a well educated dentist with many years of experience, I have had multiple appointments now where his and his office staff's attitudes toward my concerns were a bad experience for me. His office does not communicate well about expectations for appointments, leading to confusion and unpleasant surprises at the appointment itself. At my most recent visit, I clearly communicated my apprehension for the procedure and requested numbing. Dr. Nab did agree to numb me for the procedure, but during the process, when I was reacting to the pain with tears in my eyes, he demanded to know why I was crying during a procedure that "didn't even require numbing". Afterward, when discussing an additional procedure that my insurance won't cover until the next calendar year, I was provided with no other option than to pay fully out of pocket (no payment plan) or to go seek out a dental student to work on my teeth. When asking for his professional opinion in the likelihood of different scenarios based on timing, Dr. Nab even stated in a condescending manner that he "can't predict the future". I was not requesting nor expecting that level of rudeness and refusal to engage in a discussion about my future care, which will no longer be with this office. I caution everyone who is considering Dr.Nab to reconsider unless they don't mind being talked down to, jerked around, and nearly mocked for experiencing real physical pain. Good luck to his current patients - I hope you aren't put in the same position I was.

The doctor came in to give an additional injection, but that also didn't work. Meanwhile, the tech kept saying "just 5 more seconds" while continuing the procedure even though I was clearly in pain. At one point I heard the doctor leaving the office and saying goodbye for the day while the tech was still working on me. I ended up enduring most of the procedure in significant pain just trying to get through it. What made the situation worse was what happened afterward with billing. I was charged a $49 credit card fee without anyone verbally informing me beforehand. I only discovered it later when I received the emailed receipt at home. I never received an itemized invoice explaining the charges. When I called the next morning for clarification, the office manager told me the fee disclosure was "on the screen" and that because I was "not under anesthesia" I should have seen it before paying. After an hour-long painful dental procedure, with a numb mouth and a headache from sitting with my mouth open, I was focused on getting through checkout -- not carefully reviewing a payment terminal screen for hidden surcharges. I explained that a nearly $50 fee is significant, especially after already paying for an expensive treatment plan that requires multiple future visits. Instead of acknowledging my concerns, the manager repeatedly told me I "should have seen the warning," interrupted me several times, minimized my experience, and ultimately hung up on me. I actually liked the dentist initially and was planning to return for crowns, but after this experience -- both with the treatment itself and the way my concerns were handled afterward -- I no longer feel comfortable continuing care here. Patients deserve proper pain management, transparency about fees, and respectful communication when concerns are raised.

I went to Urban Dental Heights as a new patient for what was supposed to be a routine cleaning. I…read morenormally have my teeth cleaned every six months, although this time I was closer to eight months because I had recently moved and was looking for a dentist closer to home. Before my appointment, I completed their dental health questionnaire. I indicated that I clench/grind my teeth, sometimes wake up with headaches, and that my gums can bleed. After I was seated, an assistant began taking X-rays. While I was facing the wall during the X-rays, I heard someone in the hallway behind me repeatedly whisper to the assistant, "mouth guard, mouth guard." I found this strange, especially considering I had just disclosed my grinding/clenching on their questionnaire. What happened next concerned me much more. A hygienist came in and, without ever examining the inside of my mouth, began discussing my X-rays and told me I had severe periodontal disease and needed a "deep cleaning" that would require numbing. At this point, no one had examined my mouth or measured my periodontal pockets. I also never saw a dentist. A manager then came in with a clipboard and explained that the deep cleaning would cost approximately $400 after insurance. I recognized his voice as the person I had heard saying "mouth guard" in the hallway earlier. I told him I wanted to have a regular cleaning instead and did not consent to the deep cleaning or being numbed. I was then told they would not perform a regular cleaning because doing so would supposedly put the dentist's and hygienist's licenses at risk due to my periodontal diagnosis. Again, no one had actually examined the inside of my mouth at this point. I was told I was welcome to seek a second opinion, so that is exactly what I did. I drove approximately 40 minutes to see my previous dentist. After evaluating me, he told me that I had no signs of periodontal disease and that my mouth was very healthy. He also questioned why a deep cleaning would have been recommended for me. I have a nursing background and also work in sales. I am not a dentist or dental hygienist, and I don't pretend to be one, which is exactly why I sought a second professional opinion rather than making that determination myself. The enormous difference between what I was told at Urban Dental Heights and what I was told after an actual examination by my regular dentist was extremely concerning to me. Unfortunately, my experience didn't end there. I requested my X-rays/records from Urban Dental Heights so my other dentist could review them. I completed the appropriate authorization and was told it could take up to two weeks. Even after waiting, I still did not receive them. I ultimately had to physically go to the office and make multiple additional phone calls before I was able to obtain my records. Getting copies of your own dental records should not be this difficult. Most of the staff I interacted with were pleasant, but my interaction with the manager and the overall experience left me feeling extremely uncomfortable and distrustful. I went in expecting a routine cleaning and left without even having my teeth cleaned, after being told I had severe periodontal disease and needed a $400 deep cleaning--only to have my longtime dentist subsequently tell me I showed no signs of periodontal disease. Afterward, I looked at reviews on other platforms and was surprised to find other patients describing concerns involving deep-cleaning recommendations as well. I wish I had read those experiences before making my appointment. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage anyone who receives an unexpected diagnosis or recommendation for an expensive treatment here to get a second opinion before proceeding. It turns out I needed quite a bit of work done on a variety of teeths in the molar quadrant of both sides of my lower mouth. The staff are nice and knowledgeable, the office has a calming atmosphere, and that Netflix yo... When I was reclined back in my chair and handed the remote control, thus giving me the awesome responsibility of choosing a flick to take in while my mouth got drilled, I took the task seriously. The dear reader should know that while I have at times in my life avoided even looking toward a dentists office, I have probably also spent years of my life scrolling through movie selections and never actually picking anything to watch.
