I went in for a COMPLIMENTARY IMPLANT CONSULTION, at no charge. Everyone seems so nice. They did x-ray and had a dentist examined for farther detail about my issue at hand. All the work I needed was just overwhelmingly costly. The next day I called my Dental insurance for referral near me. I was told that Dentiq Office had submitted a charge for X-rays and dental exam, which affected my frequency visits on my PPO care. The (counselor/rep) Alexandra T. that I had never told me of any extra charges for anything else to be done. I called Dentiq Office the next day and Alexandra T. said that she would check this out with upper management and give me a call back. Here is a good example of no clarity, charging you without letting you know what they are doing on service by Dentiq Dental. Have not heard or seen a text or e-mail regarding this matter. But in the end, they will show you their true colors and I feel this was a bait & switch because I did not commit to their pricey services. I have got to Dentiq for over a year now and I am very happy with the care I have received. Prior to coming here, I had a very bad experience at another dentist that made me very fearful of going anywhere... I had gone a while without a cleaning and was very nervous my first appointment. My technician Kourtney talked to me about everything that had happened in the past, listened to me and made me feel so comfortable. She is the best! I love getting cleanings with her. My most recent visit I needed an filling redone and Kourtney had to leave before I could get that done - Due to my previous experience, and not having that filling done in over 10 years I was very nervous, not knowing what to expect. The dental hygienist that took over was very nice - talked me through everything, explained every step to me, and listened to me about why I nervous. I didn't get her name but I am very grateful for her! I have seen Dr. Tag both times I have been there and she is awesome! I had crown work and other work done here. After several visits I was told I needed a deep cleaning and laser cleaning. I looked this up on the internet and found you may need one or the other, generally not both. I questioned Dentiq on this and they told me I needed both. So, I told them I was going to get a second opinion. Which I did. Turned out I needed neither. This would have cost me well over a grand. Not to mention time, pain, inconvenience and possible repercussions. Easiest recommendation ever. I don't usually post reviews but it was such a good experience I really wanted to share. Dr. Tag and every member of her team were fantastic from start to finish of the process to get my veneers done. They listened to every one of my many concerns and answered all of my questions. They didn't just concede to my aesthetic requests, but instead used their expertise to suggest ways to give me what I wanted without compromising the integrity of the function/strength/professional aesthetic of the dental work. RUN -- don't walk away from this business - and believe the numerous negative reviews about the overpricing. As a Google one-star reviewer wrote: "Everyone seems so nice. But in the end they will show you their true colors when they think they squeezed the last of the money they can." Where to start? It all went off the rails when the staff and female dentist here lured me into the office only to tell me she couldn't cement a crown back on. She spent less than two minutes examining the tooth and recommended - stunningly - that I get some cement from CVS, stating that some of her patients "use Gorilla Glue on their teeth." (This was an actual conversation from an alleged dentist.) She made the outrageous comment twice, and because of the irresponsibility of the statement, I am reporting her to the Texas Board of Dental Examiners. She and her staff knew which tooth was problematic because this same doctor had placed it on - obviously unsuccessfully - two times before. If she couldn't fix it, she should have said that on the telephone BEFORE having me drive to the office and charging for a two-minute visit. Secondly, I paid this dentistry $2,500 out of pocket for two dental implants and they charged my insurance $3,400 - and I still have two uncompleted implants - requiring even more money to complete. I'm not even sure now that I read other reviews that the two implants were the best course of action. They also up-charged me for "laser" cleaning and other such nonsense. Finally, one of the dental hygienist is annoyingly talkative. Drove me crazy and I had to recommend that someone else clean my teeth. Overall, don't trust this business for the best pricing and the best recommendations for routine dental care. Their continuity of care is awful and they never seemed to know what my dental history was - and many times I would think to myself, "Do they even have my dental records?" based on the questions they were asking. A definite ONE STAR experience and if I could rate lower I would. Believe the overpricing reviews here. I went in here because I had some tenderness in the upper back molar/premolar area of my mouth, thinking that I needed a simple filling redone. I was told that if they simply replaced my filling that my tooth would likely just shatter upon usage and that I would be needing a crown and looking at the pics they took it did appear that I had a sizable decay. Once they removed my tooth I discovered that it was not one big cavity but two small cavities on adjoining teeth, at which point I was told that the second tooth would also need to be replaced. This was very upsetting to me as I had never had nor wanted a crown and despite my excellent tooth health I now was being told I needed two. The temp crown that they made me was too small but they said it was no big deal and that the movement in my teeth would self correct once the real crown was put on. When I went to get my real crown placed it was put on crooked and left a gap between my real tooth and the crown near the gum line. There was even an air pocket inside the crown visible on X-ray but I was told that it was no big deal and it happens all the time but my tooth was sealed and it would be just fine. They made me feel like a crazy person that was just feeling things that were not there and that my new tooth was good. After much deliberation I went to another dentist with advanced equipment to have it looked at. My new dentist agreed that there was in fact a gap and it was not normal, also that there would be no need for a second crown and easily replaced my 20 yr old filling without incident. We made an appt to have my new crown replaced. After my scan the dentist began to remove the crown that had just been placed by the dentist at DENTIQ and it basically just popped off (whole) after a min of drilling proving that I was not crazy and the crown was in fact not done correctly the first time. There was even food debris collecting under it. Keep in mind I floss and brush daily and although I hadn't had a cleaning previous to this in over 2 yrs my hygienist said I barely need one. I am so glad that I didn't let DENTIQ provide me with any further dental work as my new dentist informed me that I most likely never need a crown to begin with and that my fillings/seals were just old and needed replacing. I feel robbed of a perfectly good premolar and will now be stuck with an expensive crown forever. read more

My husband was never able to wear his dentures we got from another provider, so we researched implants and went with the All on 4 implanted dentures. From the beginning of the process, the staff made us feel very welcome, took plenty of time to explain the procedure, went over several options for financing, and made the whole process painless. The temporary implant teeth he has now look fabulous and his confidence has been restored. When he receives his permanent set in 3 months he won't ever have to worry about the condition of his smile again. I made an appointment as a new patient at Dentiq Dentistry on Westgray branch. The staff in the reception area are very friendly and helpful. I signed up for their 1 year contract coverage of $364. The hygienist started the X-ray then claimed that I needed deep cleaning and bacteria treatment. It was my first time for 70 yrs that I was told that I need deep cleaning. I used dental floss and water pick every day. After the 35 minutes cleaning, the hygienist I did not polish my teeth did not use fluoride. The doctor was introduced to me, she said hello but she did not talk to me and did not look in my mouth for oral checkup. She only talked to the hygienist for 5 minutes and left. My entire cleaning was 35 minutes including the X-ray time. When I was tp pay the bill, I was charged an extra $326 for deep cleaning. just for one tooth she claimed deep cleaning. We tried to ask them to credit the other items that was not done such as; teeth polish, floride and oral examination but they didn't want to give us any credit at all. I cancelled my contract because, 1- I do not trust them 2- my hygienist was not good and not friendly. 3- the person we talked to about this issue was very rude and unfriendly. 4- the annual plan of $364. Seems reasonable but they can add more work like deep cleaning and other that you have to pay extra. I just want to warn you who read this review, to review extra procedures they will ask that you need, please ask why and how much it will cost before proceeding to your cleaning or any kind of procedures. As his practice thrived, moving closer to retirement, he had to decide what to do with his amazing legacy. Deserving a great retirement, he sold the practice which is now known as Dentiq. I was one of Dr. Cordray's patients, choosing to trust Dentiq for my dental needs after his retirement. The practice is now owned by Dr. Sista. Trained at the dental school here in Houston, he is experienced, highly qualified, and caring. He poured his heart and soul into this practice and it shows. The practice is growing because he has partnered with an amazing office staff and professional partners. His assistant, Gus is smart, competent and caring. The practice runs like clockwork, yet everyone who walks through the doors feels welcome and unrushed. Dr. Messina is one of the latest additions to Dentiq. In my opinion, Dr. Sista's decision to add Dr. Messina to the staff clearly delineates his drive for excellence and compassion. I have been a patient at Dentiq Dentistry since 2013 and overall my experience is very positive. Some highlights: - I have a stubborn tooth that always turns crooked, so I must wear a clear retainer at night as well as a permanent sublingual bar. My sublingual bar takes a lot of wear and punishment and as a result detached three times. Upon each occasion Dr. Williams reattached it and offered to alter my clear retainer free of charge to fit over the new bar. I appreciate the fact Dentiq doesn't nickel and dime me over small, simple maintenance procedures. - Kourtney is the best hygienist I have ever had. She's extremely knowledgeable and explains everything slowly and plainly; dispensing practical dental maintenance advice. I feel very comfortable with her and confident in her ability to maintain my teeth's cleanliness and health. - The front staff and techs are friendly and professional. - Pricing of invisaligns at Dentiq is competitive. - No one at Dentiq tries to talk me into unnecessary cosmetic work. In fact, I had the opposite experience. After a consult with Dr. Johnson, I realized veneers are not the right product for me at this time. Instead she performed a simple enameloplasty, smoothing out a few irregularities in my incisors, and I am very happy with the result. As other Yelp commentators observed, Dentiq has billing issues, but I request a receipt at the end of every visit and any problems encountered are cleared up quickly with a friendly phone call. My teeth are in better health and look better than they have in years thanks to Dentiq Dentistry and every penny I spent there was money well spent. UPDATE 12-24-20: Three and a half years after my previous review, and I am still a satisfied patient at Dentiq. Dentique installed a state-of-the-art air filtration system and instituted new procedures to cope with Covid-related issues. I feel very comfortable and safe there. The quirks with the billing system seem to finally be resolved. No more accidental double billing. Front desk staff is on the ball and as friendly as ever. Best of all, Kourtney is still there. She's an amazing hygienist and explains everything in a simple, direct manner. I learned so much about caring for my teeth from our interaction. Let me start this by saying that the people are nice....but.... I went there for an invisalign consult. They did a complimentary CT scan. When they did they found an abscess and tried to tell me they'd have to remove 2 teeth and put in a bone graft with 2 implants all for the low low price of 12k (WITH INSURANCE) and the dentist had written a script for me to have antibiotics to help the abscess, when I told the receptionist i would need to think about the price and i wasn't willing to drop 12k right there, she took the script from me and told me I'd get it back when i came back in. If an infection is THAT bad that they feel they need to remove two teeth, you'd think they'd want the person on antibiotics. I went to a different dentist and an endodontist, both of whom did a spit take when i told them this, the endodontist took one look, realized i only needed one root canal and got it taken care of. Now i'm going to go elsewhere for my invisalign. read more

Dentiq is a really nice office with a really nice staff and they have competitive pricing for Invisalign that's for sure (2 of my friends got Invisalign here)! I needed a dentist in my area so because they had such great experiences and I live nearby I wanted to try it out. I went in for my new patient appointment and enjoyed the experience. My only beef at this point was that they left me in the room for over 15 minutes after all of my x-rays and pictures were done, i which time I could have been getting my teeth cleaned (which they do not offer in a new patient appointment). Not a big deal though. Then my treatment plan was presented to me and this is where it got a bit outrageous. In the end I "needed" $3,100 of work done (8 cavities and 2 porcelain onlays) and they estimated that my insurance would cover $2500. But my dental insurance maxes out at $1500. (I've only had 3 cavities in my life) I'm not sure if it was a simple mistake or an obvious oversight, but I don't have the extra $1000 to pay after insurance inevitably maxes out at $1500. I ended up going to the dentist I grew up going to and she said I had 3 cavities and 1 watch. Don't hear what I not saying though: Every dentist sees things differently, it doesn't mean that every time something like this happens that one was wrong or practicing poor dentistry (although I'm sure some are). Regardless of where you go: 1. Call your insurance and know the facts before you get in. 2. If you have to have a lot of work done and the office you're at seems less than thorough have the office staff submit a pretreatment estimate before your procedures. 3. Don't assume that all dentists are out to get you. read more
