Very disappointed. I don't like when restaurants remove ingredients from a dish to save money. The Penne Alla Vodka I ordered tonight was very bland. The reason it was bland is because they stopped adding prosciutto to the sauce. This was my go-to dish when I wanted Italian but now, I will have to go elsewhere. My family decided to stop here for my 33rd birthday dinner. The waitress was excellent, attentive, and very friendly. The food was okay, and the restaurant itself was clean and had a nice atmosphere. It looked like a place that gets pretty busy, especially on weekends. At the end of the meal, I asked if it would be okay to leave a few brochures for a nonprofit organization that provides fully funded hunting, fishing, and camping trips for veterans, first responders, and nurses. The mission is to give those who spend their lives serving others an opportunity to step away from daily stress, reconnect with nature, and focus on their mental well-being. The waitress checked with management and returned to let me know that leaving the brochures was not permitted. While I understand businesses have their own policies regarding promotional materials, I was disappointed by the decision given the nature of the organization and the people it serves. This is the first time I've encountered a business that was unwilling to allow information about a nonprofit supporting veterans, first responders, and nurses to be left behind. While I respect their right to make that choice, I left feeling disappointed, especially considering how many families have loved ones who have served their communities and could potentially benefit from programs like ours. Especially the ones that call Perkasie their home. Overall, the service was great, the food was ok, but the experience ended on a disappointing note. Wow! What a find! We were passing by the area and found this gem. Food was amazing, service was just as amazing, fast, friendly, very tasty, and the restaurant is extremely clean and fresh. Pretty much impossible to find that mix anymore. You can tell the folks that own this place really care and it shows! What a nice spot. It's nice to sit in an establishment and hear other customers around you saying "wow this is the best cosmo I ever had" keep up the good work this place should be packed night and day. Go to Castillo's for the food and you will return for the service. Castillo's is a classic styled pub with a full service restaurant. Castillo's has become my family's favorite place in the Dublin/Perkasie area. The food is top notch with fresh ingredients and a true Italian taste. Every dish that my family and I have enjoyed at Castillo's has been amazing. And the staff is very friendly and courteous. The Chef/Owner wanders through the dining room to greet you and see if you are enjoying your meal. If you are looking for a quiet spot, then I don't think this is the place for you, but if you are looking for really great food, a fun vibe, wonderful staff and service, then I can't recommend enough. We held our bookclub here on Friday night, and yes, it was a little loud to talk about the book at first, so instead we ate and drank and had an awesome time. As customers started calling it an evening and it became quieter, we finally had a chance to have dessert and talk about our book. Went tonight, food was so so. The potato appetizer, potatoes were hard, they put two egg rolls cut in half on a plate (which were not big) for four people, at least three should be served. Chicken blt was ok not what was expected. To me price for food was a bit high for quantity that was received. Serve was very good. read more

We went to Castiillo's in Perkasie, PA for dinner with a party of 6 people. We were seated promptly. Castillo's does not take reservations. I was expecting to wait to be seated because this place is always busy at dinner time. A bit of time elapsed since we were here last when it was known as Hawkeye's. I had their spaghetti and meat balls. Plenty to eat. The sauce was sweet. Spaghetti noodles were thicker than I like but tasty. Three people had veal parm with a side order of spaghetti. All told me it was superb. One person had a burger and the other had scallops dish. No complaints. It was noticeably loud in the restaurant. We had a hard time hearing each other. Everyone agreed it was a bit warm inside. Garlic knots were offered prior to our meals. They have a full bar. Our waitress was very good. Took our order and made sure we had everything. We did not have dessert. Parking is adequate. Take credit cards. All in all we had a very good experience. Dinner for two with a drink was just over $70. read more

We went for an early dinner on a Saturday. We were surprised with how many cars were in the lot. The majority of the people were in the bar area. We ordered the cheesesteak egg rolls as an appetizer. It came with 4 halves. We ordered Chicken Scarpariello,which was the special, spinach and cheese ravioli, and the cowboy ranch pizza. Everything was delicious. My wife and I stopped in today for our anniversary as we never tried this location since it opened up about a year ago. It looked busy when we drove by the previous day, and we wanted to give the new owners and menu a try. We now wish we hadn't wasted a year LOL. There are way too many Italian restaurants in central and upper bucks, but this is one of the good ones. Everything was great. The interior is newly modernized, clean and comfortable. There were two huge lunch groups meeting there which showed us the confidence the community has in this palace being appropriate for many diners and their groups. Despite the mid day influx, the waitress (Kate) and owner stopped by consistently to check in on our order and experience. We had the fried mozzarella triangles. Perfect texture, temp and sauce. We shared a glass of Cabernet Ocnautic, which went well with our meals, dry but not too dry and was a nice pairing on a cold rainy day. The chicken Florentine special was crazy good. Not too lemony, perfectly battered and fried chicken breast and delicious balance of sauce and spinach with in house made cheese and pasta. Beg them to make it for you if it comes off the menu. It's really that good. The penne vodka we also shared which was made with tomato sauce and pancetta. So glad we got these two dishes and shared them. Both were top notch. The comp garlic knots that come with meals were great and not too garlicky or greasy. Very fresh and light and made for easy dipping in the sauces. The espresso I ordered at meal end was made very fast and you could tell they know how to handle their grind and beans. The desserts we got were Creme brûlée and chocolate mouse. Both made well and up to expectations. We saw some patrons complain online about prices. But you get what you pay for here. It's an authentic local Italian restaurant that respects ingredients and culinary talent. It's no where near expensive as DTown competition and not as bottom feeder greasy prep, prices and recipe as we've had in Dublin and Qtown. Stop complaining and support a place and staff that's doing it the way right way, at a competitive price to value ratio. You'll easily pay 25 to 50% higher in central bucks for less quality. What a wonderful dining experience we had at Castillo's. Our party of 3 met for lunch on a weekday with Kate as our server. It was our first time and she was quite accommodating. The menu was diverse enough to please our varied tastes. Food quality and timeliness of service were top notch. I really liked the potato appetizer, unique and different. The homemade dressing on my super fresh Caesar salad will bring me back there. Garlic rolls were soft and fragrant. The portion size of the Basil Chicken Panini was generous, as was the Sweet Sausage special my partner raved about. We were relaxed, well catered to and we plan to return. What an amazing dining experience! Every few months a friend and I meet for dinner in the perkasie area , we were looking for someplace different. After reading the reviews for Castillo's we agreed this was a restaurant we needed to try. We were greeted at the door by 2 smiling hostesses and the owner executive chef, who also stopped by our table to make sure everything was fine. Homemade pastas and a full gluten free menu which was perfect for my gluten free friend. She had chicken piccata and I had shrimp and crab over rigatoni with a blush sauce. Outstanding! Was hoping for more. We went there last night for dinner. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. However, we waited for quite some time to place an order for drinks. Our dinner arrived, and halfway through my husband realized that he was not eating what he had ordered. We asked the waitress, and she stated that there were a lot of food runners in the back, and obviously someone made a mistake. Since he was enjoying his meal, he decided not to say anything. When I asked to see a menu to see what he was in fact, eating, the waitress said that it was her fault, with a smile on her face. No apology. Although what he ordered cost slightly less than what he had received, The waitress charged him for her mistake anyway. The food was good but a $29.00 pasta dinner didn't even include a small salad. Castillo's is a newly opened restaurant located right off 113. There is restaurant and bar seating. The bar area is large and has many TVs, most right above each table. This location would be perfect for game day! The food selection is decent and there is something for everyone on the menu. I wanted to give this place one star. I didn't so people reading wouldn't think I just had a horrible experience. I have been here twice, and don't intend on returning. Plain and simple, the food just isn't good. if I recall correctly, it was way over priced even if the food was good. What really surprised me was the owner came to our table to ask how our meal was. Ordered the spaghetti and meatballs to go. First of it wasn't spaghetti. It was a much larger noodle that I do not like. Kind of like an udon noodle. The sauce looks like vodka sauce which I do not like. Just seemed like cheap ingredients and cost $18. read more

Came to Castillo's for dinner with my boyfriend for our third time. We love sitting in the bar area and have done so in the past. We were carded (we are 30 and 27) and I didn't have my wallet with me and I was not drinking but we were asked by the bartender to leave the bar area to eat. I was disappointed because I like the bar area and the vibe. I decided to go home and get my wallet. The owner Edwin saw us were leaving and asked why. I explained and he said "well, are you definitely going to come back?!" I told him yes. As we were driving back we did consider going to some place on the way back since we were so hungry but I felt bad not returning when I said I would lol. When we arrived, the bar room was now full but Edwin saw us walk back in and personally wiped down a table for us and also insisted on treating us to a dessert. What a nice guy and great chef. I had the pleasure of visiting Castillo's restaurant yesterday Sunday July 21 2024. It was recommended to us by my son who had gotten a pizza delivered from them. He said it was the best pizza he had ever eaten. So we (the family of five) went there for dinner. I must say everyone was blown away how delicious all of our dishes were. We all had different choices and we all loved our choices. Me for one usually choose Chicken Marcella as an Italian dish. I was extremely surprised how delicious my dish was with scallops. I must say it was the best Chicken Marcella I have ever had. I and we highly recommend this newly opened restaurant on route 113 (formally Hawkeyes) to everyone who wants a delicious meal. P.S. We have been here on a Fri. night for apps & drinks ( in the bar) and during the week for a dinner with friends ( in the dining room). Both times were just wonderful.
