Came here on a recommendation from my parents and so glad they told us about it as we will definitely be back. It sits inside a small shopping center. Inside is cutely decorated but nothing fancy by any means. They do take reservations, which I like. We were here on a Sunday evening and it wasn't very busy. It seemed like there were some regulars there, which is always a good sign! We started with Mozzarella in Carrozza, which was very good and they also give you garlic knots, which were delicious! For my entree, I went with the Rigatoni Bolognese, which was a decent portion size and very good. Service was generally ok, but there were times when I needed more to drink. The one thing I didn't like was that sodas are given to you in a bottle, meaning no free refills. At a place like this, I would have expected them to have fountain soda at a minimum. One of the owners came out and talked to us, which was really nice. Lots of delicious sounding things on the menu, so looking forward to going back and trying more items! read more

Would not go back here. flavorless dish of pasta and seafood, just 4 tiny pieces of shrimp for $31. Really? I mean shrimp Is one of the cheapest fish out there. I think there may have been 2 tiny chunks of crab. Creme brûlée iced cold out of their fridge. it was not good either. wasn't even freshly toasted on top. WILL NEVER GO BACK . Had dinner with friends and was pleasantly impressed with the service, food & ambience. Everyone was very friendly & accommodating to our special requests. This is a small local Italian restaurant . They provide garlic knots and salad with your meal I started with a bowl of wedding soup. It was hot and tasty, with a touch of lemon , great start for a cold day. They served it with a couple of slices of hard bread. It didn't have a lot meatballs or pasta , more broth. The garlic knots were hot, crispy outside soft inside, just enough garlic . My main meal was Veal parmigiana classic with pappardelle pasta . It had a light tomato sauce. The veal was pan fried, it was soft and iight . It had a light breading. Was the star Of the meal. Plenty of off street parking. Good and friendly service. read more

I don't post this review lightly. I am in the top 10% of Google reviewers, as I travel for work and review just about everywhere I go for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's been a few years but my "go to" place was closed this evening so I visited another local establishment near my home. I Just had the Linguine Alla Pascatore, along with house salad (balsamic vinaigrette), two garlic knots and a bottle of Eco Domino Pinot Grigio. Everything tasted fine. On my way home the stomach started gurgling and did not stop and only got worse when I got home. You can guess the rest... The service was impeccable. The food tasted fine. However, something gave me a bout of stomach illness. I don't believe it was the wine. I have had the same thing at local restaurants previously, without the results suffered this evening. Will give them another try next time I am home, but will be a little gun shy next time regarding the seafood. read more

Beware of this restaurant and the way it charges for your food. Not only do they automatically add a 20% gratuity for five people or more but with no written acknowledgment, they charge for using a debit card. It is not posted on your bill. You have to read a paper sign on their door, which they prop open and so the sign is pointed towards a wall or you have to be at the open window to the kitchen where it's posted. Since the waitress takes your payment, you never approach that counter. I received a $12 fee for using a debit card. The food is just average. It looks very plentiful, but it has a moderate taste. My chicken dish, which was supposed to have shrimp, scallops, and crab meat only had three shrimp. The crab meat look like a dusting of Parmesan cheese you could barely find it. All in all an incredibly disappointing experience, and I would never go there again. Only one highlight: they serve a garlic knot that is the size of a croissant light as a feather and beyond delicious. read more

Our first time trying Sapori was a pick up order of a plain cheese pizza and a cheesesteak Stromboli. Both were delicious! The crust of the pizza was flavorful, the sauce delicate and tasty blanketed in delicious and plentiful cheese. The Stromboli was excellent, Stuffed with thinly sliced tender and juicy steak meat with just the right amount of flavorful cheeses. A home run on both items. We look forward to visiting again and eating on site. The staff was friendly upon pickup. The prices reasonable for the quality of the product. read more

Waited half decade for our dinner, when our food did come out, I wouldn't have fed it to my dogs. Hopefully it was just a rookie cook, or they were having a bad day. Everyone has bad days, but bad food will surely give you one. Not sure if we were forgotten about or something but multiple tables that arrived after us got served dinner 35 min before us... shrimp was way overcooked Scallops were just plain foul. Italian is easy to do well, very difficult to do extremely well. Sapori is exceptional, as good as Italian cuisine gets without making the leap into time and labor intensive homemade pasta. Sapori's ambiance is surprisingly upscale, given its location. All the waitstaff were excellent and everything was perfectly cooked. This was especially impressive considering that we were there on New Year's Eve and the place was packed. We started with the calamari. The breading was more like tempora, very light and crisp. I had the chicken Scott and my wife had the chicken Saltimbocca. Both were deftly prepared, light, and flavorful. This is where my homemade pasta comment comes in. Sapori makes you feel like family. It's small, cozy and makes you feel at home away from home. Who knew this little Italian place in a strip mall was so good?! Glad I made reservations, the place was packed! The place is small but they utilize every inch of it and the decorations really help it look cozy. All the waitstaff were so friendly and helpful. They are all constantly on the move! I'm surprised this place doesn't have more good reviews and more reviews in general. The couple took it over from my friend 9 years ago. They've done a great job. Unfortunately I only come once a year since I don't live in the area. I always get the same. Pasta fagioli and spaghetti and meatballs. The meat is good quality and the pasta is cooked correct al dente. They serve garlic bread per request. The soda mix is correct. Do yourself a favor and come in. We drove an hour to get to this restaurant. The inside of restaurant is beautiful with all the lights!!! Very relaxing atmosphere. The pictures on Yelp don't do this restaurant any justice. Visited Sapori's for the first time tonight. Excellent service, thank you Lydia. Excellent appetizer, fresh salad with full flavored balsamic with a kick. Garlic bread was awesome, fresh, warm, and doughy. We both had great entrees too, veal saltimbicca and seafood with lobster sauce over pasta. Wonderful experience and will definitely go back. My family absolutely loves Sapori and we order there almost every week. Their sandwiches and meals are wonderful, but once you try their pizza you'll never order anything else!! The pizza prices are a little steep compared to the surrounding establishments but the fresh ingredients and love that goes into the pizza makes it worth every penny. read more

I had my wedding reception here and it was amazing! Sapori was the only restaurant willing to have me and 17 guests for dinner during COVID. They made it very special, memorable, and elegant for me. All I can say is thank you. The food came out fast, hot and exquisite. The food was fresh, seasoned well and scrumptious. Some restaurants use so much seasoning that it takes from the dish. Not here! The fresh herbs and veggies made the dishes. If your ever up in the area this is the place to go. It was just wonderful. The chicken bruschetta to die for. The salmon was my dad's favorite. My 5 year old nephew loved his pepperoni pizza. The prices match the plate. A lot of food. The servers were patient and on top of everything. Please go if you get the chance. We first visited Sapori about two months ago with friends. Since our first visit we've been back three times. The food is consistently great. Service is friendly and atmosphere is nice. Appetizer and entrees for two total around $80. Portions are very filling, enough to bring home leftovers. We already have reservations for next week! I ordered a large Plain pizza for take out. The young lady that answered the phone was very pleasant. The pizza was a good price... $12.50. When I went to pick it up, the restaurant was pretty busy (7pm on a Sunday). Being from Jersey, I'm probably a pizza snob.... but to me this pizza was just ok. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. The restaurant has really good food but the reason I took the time to right this is simply because they are now charging 4% on your bill if you pay by credit card. Positive side: Food was good. Negative side: Manager (older gentleman) was very rude; came over to greet my girlfriend and I and he made a very rude comment specifically aimed at me that made the situation very uncomfortable. Servers were awkward in demeanor as well. Initially I asked for pizza slices as my meal. The staff claimed there were no more slices. SO HOW ABOUT YOU MAKE ANOTHER PIZZA THEN? AREN'T YOU A PIZZERIA? Not 30 minutes later, I see the entire staff and manager all eating pizza slices. I was furious. The utter rudeness here will drive me away for as long the establishment exists.
