They even soda machines if you want a drink and a food stand in case you're going be out there for a while. That's the good. The "bad" or questionable: * They try to charge more for parts than they advertise online - Had to take out my phone and show them the online price several times. They backed off when I did that. * Some of the vehicles which are shown online are not there when you get there - Looking for a Volvo they advertised and it was gone by the time I got there even the website claimed that it had come in a week or so earlier. * A few too many "Can I borrowers?" for my tastes although that has nothing to do with the company. Bring your own tools if your plan is gather parts. * Parking lot is kind of sketchy so make sure that you keep everything in your trunk or leave it at home Like I said in the beginning: Okay enough salvage yard.

With that in mind I was eager to take my Ridgid Brad Nailer to them for warranty work through the Ridgid lifetime warranty program as they are an authorized repair facility. For clarity, the issue with the tool was a single pin on the nail guide that kept popping out of place and causing reload problems. Nothing major, just a pin. I could have put some rubber cement on it to hold it in place but hey, it's got a lifetime warranty right? I dropped my item off without a hitch having already gotten the approval. They gave me my receipt and said they would be in touch in a couple days. I called a month later to inquire about the status and they had not received the part yet. OK, so I waited another month without hearing from them and called again. They told me the part was not available, and the item would have to be replaced. So far my only complaint was their lack of communication, understanding that this was pretty much out of their hands. A few weeks later I called again, aggravated at having to wait so long for this warranty work. I asked if the tool was still there and they said yes. I said I would just come and pick up the tool and fix it myself instead of waiting for Ridgid to get off their ass and do something. They said I could not have the tool back since it was going through the warranty process. I said, well it's my tool, it hasn't been fixed, you still have it, so I'm going to come and get it. They again said it wasn't possible, that Ridgid would have to authorize it. I said I would call Ridgid for authorization and call them back. When I called Ridgid, I was told that Tool Service had already called them and that I was going to have to wait for a replacement. So now I'm pretty angry that Tool Service is inserting themselves into my personal business and called to ask them why they had involved themselves in my issue with Ridgid. They said they had the right to get involved when I took my tool to them. Now I'm really pissed so I attempt to explain to this moron that what I pursue with Ridgid doesn't concern them and to stay out of my business. Long story short, regardless of how Ridgid handled this situation, these guys had no right to step on my toes and get into my business. Unbelievable lack of courtesy and professionalism on their part. I'll never go back to them and, unless you're completely out of options, neither should you. I would say I'm very fair when writing these reviews and however I can help others from experiencing poor service, I'm up for the task. This may have been singularly related to Ridgid warranty items, I'm not sure, but the lack of customer service and total lack of professionalism is inexcusable no matter what.

Tool service inc is the only authorized ridgid dealer in Las Vegas, NV. I was quoted 60.00 and about 3 weeks or a bit more for the repair. Sure why not. I have a Mikita 5030 orbital sander that I use, anyway. Got done a bit more than two weeks and it works! I never used the ridgid before and I love the oscillating pattern it does. The working tool paid itself off the next day! They are in a new location.

All I know is that I gradually lost all oil pressure and heard insane knocking noises. Not exactly the thing I wanted to happen on a rebuilt and upgraded engine that is only 7-8 years old since the last rebuild/machining. Definitely too soon for something like this to happen. She wasn't even over 100K miles yet (maybe around 80-90k?). On top of that, I never raced her let alone even had work done requiring removal of the oil pan! I was very strict about oil changes and all maintenance. She was my daily driver and racked up a good amount of miles. Still unsure exactly what's causing my problem as I haven't taken her apart yet but at this point, time for another engine (unfortunately)! Very disappointed.

Working on a car restoration, needed some zinc chromate plating done. This was my very first time having anything plated, and a small job by any shop's standards - 35lbs of brackets, pulleys, nuts bolts washers etc. After a quick touchbase on the phone I brought my box of stuff down to their shop and reviewed the work and accepted quote. A week and a half later they called, ready. Well, the plating work was top notch, beautiful yellow/red/green iridescence! First project after collecting my goodies was to complete the Bosch alternator rebuild I'd started, see picture. The yellow zinc chromate on the fan and pulley (and hardware too) add a real OEM touch and look awesome. Can't get the smile off my face. After 3 weeks I called Bob Sr. who knew nothing of the piece and it couldn't be found. I was told to contact Bob Jr. and ask of it's whereabouts. After numerous calls I finally talked to Bob Jr. who told me it would be finished tomorrow. I arrived 2 days later and was told that they no longer accepted credit cards. And, to go around the corner to a ATM machine and get the cash. (He seemed very perturbed about the situation.) But, I assumed that the "swearing" was just his sense of humor. After returning from the ATM machine with the $60 I was told that he "changed his mind" and "for the problems" the price would now be $100!!! I've never dealt with a business that "extorted" money from their customers before! If the piece wasn't sentimental I would have told him to keep it! So, I went back to the ATM and withdrew ANOTHER $40! When I returned he informed me that they didn't take job's for less than $225 and told me never to return. (Gee, that's a tough sell.) LOL I've never been more rudely treated and was completely dumbfounded with the whole situation. Like I said. This was the WORST customer service that I have EVER experienced!
