He is very personable,…read moreknowledgeable, expresses concern for his patients, provides detailed evaluations and options while including the patient in the decision making process, and is a very gentle dentist who is concerned about patient pain and care. I've also found his staff is equally as pleasant and efficient as the Doctor. They greet you warmly when you enter their office and make you feel at ease in their presence. They are accommodating and willing to work with you on whatever you need. Finally, they have up-to-date equipment and are technically savvy. My wife, who is also a patient, agrees with everything that I've written.

I have been a dental patient of first Dr. Carol Evans and then Dr. Justin Koen for over fifteen…read moreyears. While Dr. Evans was fantastic, I have had a much different experience with Dr. Koen and the direction the practice has taken in the last few years. I have a feeling the practice has been taken over by a corporate entity because their focus is no longer on the patients. I went in three times a year for cleanings and only saw Dr. Koen for literally 20 seconds for the past fifteen plus years when he came in to view my mouth after a cleaning once a year. So I did not know the extent he would GHOST me when I needed his advice the most. I had some unexpected issues regarding a failed crown and had many questions. When in the office for the scan to measure my temporary tooth (called a flipper), I needed to talk to him during my scheduled appointment time. He refused to even pop in to see what my concern was! Then, the periodontist who was handling the crown issue and bone grafting specifically asked him to do a tooth vitality on a specific tooth next to the failed crown and Dr. Koen did not even do the tooth vitality! I even asked the person doing the scan to have Dr. Koen do the tooth vitality and then he (or his office manager) sent her back to say Dr. Koen would contact the periodontist directly without even taking the time to see what my question (s) where, but the periodontist told me Dr. Koen never verified the vitality of that tooth! Then, I was suppose to get my temporary tooth within a 2 week timeline, as it was only coming from the lab in Hutto. It never came! I had the office follow up daily and for days never came up with an explanation of what happened except that "the temporary tooth was lost"! Unacceptable! I even said I would drive to Hutto to get it (it had been paid in FULL 3 weeks prior), and they said that was not possible. Only the office manager would deal with me via phone; I even went to the office in person to speak to Dr. Koen and he refused to see me! I left him messages twice on his voicemail and he never returned my calls. I needed the temporary tooth in time for me to return to work, as I was extremely embarrassed by the gap and needed the temporary tooth as a minimum to work with my clientele, as well as my co-workers with confidence. He GHOSTED me yet again. Now, you may say I must have been a demanding patient or there must be some other reason for this response from the practice. The only reason is he did not care ENOUGH to reach out and make things right and do the bare minimum that a dental professional should do. If you are thinking of going to Main Street Dental-take your business elsewhere!! The office manager was rude and condescending. If all you need are cleanings and that is it, then this is the place for you. However, if you want to be reassured that Main Street Dental places their patients first, then please.............find another practice! All you will find is incompetence, arrogance and a disregard for professionalism in this field. I would give them a zero star rating if it was available. I have switched practices and advocate to anyone even considering this dental practice to take your hard-earned money, dignity and well--being somewhere else!

Dr. Ross is genuinely so kind and caring, the hygienist, and all the techs are just so wonderful. Dr. Ross does a DAMN good job. When I went for my 1st appt about a month ago I had something wrong with almost every tooth. I just had my third appointment today, and I am actually smiling again because I have gained my confidence back. We still have work to be done, but instead of dreading it I am looking forward to it! Their pricing is super fair, I have been ripped off in the past. The receptionist is so sweet, their entire office staff are top notch! I will now be bringing my 13 year old here and recommending them to anyone who will listen! They also got me in RIGHT away, never a wait time. Dr. Ross is quick yet very efficient, got some extra work done because he had time, he is so so caring, his work is impeccable, and I still have temporary crowns! I cannot wait for the finished result. I cannot stress how thankful I am for this team of wonderful people.

I chose this place to get dental work done based on my insurance "in network" options and location…read more I looked up the doctors who were listed at this location and when I called, the information I was given was actually outdated because I was informed then that the doctor I wanted to see is at a different location. I went ahead and scheduled my appointment anyway since I'm way overdue. Upon arrival, I can see they keep the front office pretty clean. There were about 6 people behind the desk when I walked in but everyone looked too busy to help me right away. Finally, I checked in and was handed some documents to fill out and sign. When I finally got called in, the machine where they were trying to scan my teeth was either broken or the girl didn't know how to use it properly? Not sure but it was an awkward 10 minutes of trying it over and over until finally giving up. They sat me in the chair and did their usual routine for first time patients. Then I waited for a bit for the doctor to give me analysis and consult. They didn't provide any care or cleaning during that visit but it still took almost two hours to complete. When I scheduled the work I needed done (cleaning and crown) they told me it would take about 1 hr 45 minutes. When I finally came in, there were two assistants in the "room" and they told me one was just shadowing and will just be watching. But well into the procedure, they actually had her hold the suction for almost half the time and she was a little bit abrupt and kept commanding "close" and "open" each time. And at one point, there was a struggle in proper placement and positioning of the suction, which created a lot of discomfort for me. I was annoyed because the lady was clearly new and it was a complex procedure, yet they allowed her to keep doing it/she also insisted. I tried to show signs of displeasure but a bit hard when you can't use your mouth and I also really didn't want to be rude. I just wanted to get it all over with. This whole visit took more than 3 hours! Unacceptable. When I came back for my actual crown placement, I had to wait more than 15 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment. Maybe I've been spoiled by my previous dental family, but the front desk just doesn't feel inviting. They seem cold and impatient or something. When I don't hear them the first time, and I ask them to repeat what they're saying, they seem annoyed about it. They have me signing all kinds of paper work every time I'm visiting, I feel I have the right to ask any question I need to before signing it. I also don't understand their policy about only getting a 15 minute grace period when it took them well over 15 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment to call me to the back, despite being there early. Overall, this office needs to work on setting the correct time expectations and efficiency. I like the doctor who did the work, but I may have reached the point where I'd rather drive somewhere 30 minutes away if the duration of the appointment will be around the correct estimate. Also I suggest them not having a new assistant help with complex procedures - it makes for a very uncomfortable experience for the patient.
