Very friendly,courteous, and professional staff. Had some procedures done and I was in and out in no time.

I chose this place to get dental work done based on my insurance "in network" options and location. I looked up the doctors who were listed at this location and when I called, the information I was given was actually outdated because I was informed then that the doctor I wanted to see is at a different location. I went ahead and scheduled my appointment anyway since I'm way overdue. Upon arrival, I can see they keep the front office pretty clean. There were about 6 people behind the desk when I walked in but everyone looked too busy to help me right away. Finally, I checked in and was handed some documents to fill out and sign. When I finally got called in, the machine where they were trying to scan my teeth was either broken or the girl didn't know how to use it properly? Not sure but it was an awkward 10 minutes of trying it over and over until finally giving up. They sat me in the chair and did their usual routine for first time patients. Then I waited for a bit for the doctor to give me analysis and consult. They didn't provide any care or cleaning during that visit but it still took almost two hours to complete. When I scheduled the work I needed done (cleaning and crown) they told me it would take about 1 hr 45 minutes. When I finally came in, there were two assistants in the "room" and they told me one was just shadowing and will just be watching. But well into the procedure, they actually had her hold the suction for almost half the time and she was a little bit abrupt and kept commanding "close" and "open" each time. And at one point, there was a struggle in proper placement and positioning of the suction, which created a lot of discomfort for me. I was annoyed because the lady was clearly new and it was a complex procedure, yet they allowed her to keep doing it/she also insisted. I tried to show signs of displeasure but a bit hard when you can't use your mouth and I also really didn't want to be rude. I just wanted to get it all over with. This whole visit took more than 3 hours! Unacceptable. When I came back for my actual crown placement, I had to wait more than 15 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment. Maybe I've been spoiled by my previous dental family, but the front desk just doesn't feel inviting. They seem cold and impatient or something. When I don't hear them the first time, and I ask them to repeat what they're saying, they seem annoyed about it. They have me signing all kinds of paper work every time I'm visiting, I feel I have the right to ask any question I need to before signing it. I also don't understand their policy about only getting a 15 minute grace period when it took them well over 15 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment to call me to the back, despite being there early. Overall, this office needs to work on setting the correct time expectations and efficiency. I like the doctor who did the work, but I may have reached the point where I'd rather drive somewhere 30 minutes away if the duration of the appointment will be around the correct estimate. Also I suggest them not having a new assistant help with complex procedures - it makes for a very uncomfortable experience for the patient. read more

I went in this morning with pain in 2 teeth. The staff was super nice. We got the trays done, the photos done, etc. Then the dentist came in to check my gums. She had a very thick accent and at times was hard to understand. When we finally got down to why I was there I showed her the teeth that hurt. She proceeded to tell me I was wrong, and started laying out a very expensive list of services. I explained again, we could discuss those later, I needed these 2 teeth fixed. She had me show her 4 times the hurting teeth. The final time I was pointing to one of them, she slapped my hound out of my mouth and almost fish-hooked me pulling my cheek to look. At that point, I just left. I stopped to check for a bill on the way out and explained I wouldnt be back. The staff apologized. The office staff is not very friendly and very deceptive. I went on for a cleaning, ended up needing 3 fillings. I asked if they could all be done in one appointment and was told yes, so I scheduled the appointment. When I arrive for the appointment a completely different person was doing the fillings. First she said she wasn't doing all 3, I did push back on this because it was discussed before I made the appointment and when I checked and had to pay! The person who did my fillings rushed through the process, stabbed me on the outside of the cheek with the numbing needle because she wasn't paying attention, and broke my crown in the process. Once finished, she tried to get me back for more work by saying I would need a root canal. (Like I'd go back there ) In addition to the poor care provided, they have messed up every single invoice to my dental insurance. First they left off the physician, then they left off the Tax ID, and because this important information is left off of the claim the insurance is unable to process the payment. As someone who worked in medical claims, this is basic information on ALL insurance forms submitted by a provider. This goes to show that the incompetence is throughout, not limited to specific areas. Prior to my appointments I had no dental pain or concerns, now my mouth is sore around the teeth beside the ones with the fillings and terrible pain where the broken crown is. Now to find a dentist office where dental care is the actual focus. read more

So, full disclosure, my wife is a retired dentist. Buda dental is the next best thing to going to my wife's old dental office. They do a good job, don't see every thing as a problem that needs work - "let's keep an eye on it for now" is something you don't hear at other dental offices in Texas. Mostly they seem to see your mouth as a gold mine - not here. I drive up from New Braunfels to get to this office, passing many other dental care providers on the way. These folks are the real deal. read more

Come in on time for my appointments and they have me waiting 30+ minutes in the lobby every single time, to then have me waiting another 30+ minutes in a room just to be told that my teeth aren't moving as desired and are behind schedule. I've been hearing this for the past 6 months and I was supposed to have been done months ago. every time I wait an hour just to be told the same thing and pick up new aligners, you'd think they would have a better way of communicating this information with me instead of wasting my time read more

I began coming to Ideal Dental / Buda in March for an emergency, and have been very pleased ever since. My last visit was a follow up after an excellent deep cleaning by Dr. Mendez. Blair did the final cleaning/polishing. She is really good, very knowledgeable, and has great chairside manor. I hope to have her again in 3 months. Ideal is very accommodating, Angelina at the front desk is amazing, nowadays it takes a lot of insight into handling different insurance protocols from different types of plans. I enjoy coming here, although very busy they are attentive and thorough, it seems like a good work environment and that's relaxing. I have to comment on some of the negative reviews, sometimes the expectations of the customer are the problem. read more

Update** After a second opinion, it seems I was misdiagnosed by a long shot by Brush32. They said I absolutely needed a crown and a (possible) root canal for a tooth in the upper left side of my mouth. Turns out, from a better set of X-rays, that I have an impacted sinus cavity weighing down on that tooth. Might explain why the left side of my face hurts all the time and I have so many sinus issues. Brush32 never looked at this as an option even after me telling them I have sinus related headaches and pain all the time. Instead, they went for the easy $2000 worth of procedures, that almost assuredly would have left me $2000 poorer and still in pain. Proceed with caution with these folks. I wouldn't trust a diagnosis from them on the first go-round. Original Review: I wasn't going to write a review... but I've since changed my mind. Went to this office last week for pain in a couple of teeth. It has admittedly been too long since I've seen a dentist. I thought I was going in for comprehensive exam (general checkout, teeth cleaning, X-rays) and then during that exam they would say, "Oh well, it looks like you have a cavity here" and then we would address that. That is not how this went at all. Again, it's been too long, so maybe my expectations were a bit off. When I arrived for a 10:00 am appointment at 9:40 am... I was still waiting to go back into the back at 10:30 am. When I finally got to go back, the staff was kind of all over the place. They asked why I was there... I said I was having some pain... they said ok... and then asked me if I was having any pain. (huh?!, yes..) They take ALOT of x-rays... some in the chair... some in this fancy stand up thing where the machine went around my head.... LOTS of x-rays. Dr comes in... He wasn't nice or friendly and seemed like he was a bit bored to be there.... had really rude responses to my questions... and then told me I needed to come in for a comprehensive visit to address the other painful spot I was experiencing. (Again, thought that's what I was there for...) They wanted to do some very expensive procedures... I stated that I wanted to wait a bit because I have another insurance policy going into effect, which was true.... but also, I was really ready to leave after the experience with the Dr. They said ok... I left with the pain I came in with. I called another office in town the next day for a second opinion... hoping to find a dentist that actually seems to like being a dentist. I called Brush 32 to cancel the follow-up appt I had made... and informed them that a new dentist should be contacting them for all those fancy X-rays they took and charged my insurance for. They said great, they would send whatever they needed to send... EXCEPT THEY DIDN'T, HAVEN'T, AND NOW WILL NOT ANSWER THE PHONE despite me calling at least 3-4 times today. 3/6/20 - Editing - Apparently they were "out of the office" on the one day I needed those records. However, it would have been helpful for them to leave a message or some indication that they were out of the office. Regardless of being open or closed, this was nothing but a giant frustration. I really hope they take more care with other patients. Maybe I was just unlucky. read more

Had a 4pm appointment to see me for my tooth ache. I arrived at 3:45pm. Filled out some quick things on their iPad, took me less than 5 minutes. I ended up waiting until 4:45pm to get seen. I got a few pictures of my teeth taken, like the person was rushing through their side of the work. I was told to wait for the dentist to come in and see me, they never did. A bunch of waiting around for nearly 2 hours and I left knowing the same thing as I came in. This place is not a good place to for your dental needs. I already have dental anxiety and stuff like this breaks any hope I would've had at dealing with it through them. I recommend everyone to find a better practice that cares about their patient's needs. Makes me wonder why they even scheduled me at all if they couldn't even see me for a simple exam. Another terrible dental experience. Went here 8 months ago and had the exact same service I went in for today, however this dentist was more money hungry than the last they stated they would not preform the same service the prior dentist at the same office preformed. I will never be back or recommend anyone come to this office they are nothing more than used car salesmen I hardly think they even care about peoples teeth only the money they can get out of your insurance company. You have a lot of options for dental care in our area please choose any other office you will not have a good experience at this off do not do business at this place. read more

Excellent first visit! They were able to get me and my boys in very quickly. Thorough exams and cleanings. I really like the pictures of your teeth. You can really see what's happening! I was happy with my initial visit in February 2020 when I was fitted for an Invisalign retainer. However, I never got a call that my retainers were ready, and then they shut down due to Covid (which I completely understand). However, they reopened over a month ago and after leaving three messages, I have yet to have a single call returned. So it's officially been 6 months later, $600 later, and no retainer to show for it. Very disappointed that they do not follow through with customer calls and it's impossible to get ahold of someone who can get me any answers. read more

So I go to brush 32 with a toothache. I walk in, they ask me if I have a mask and I realize I forgot it. They give me one, without hesitation or complaint I put on the mask. I am not an anti-masker. The girl at the desk is pleasant. They call me back. I see Dr. Nguyen, and she is great as always. She identifies the problem, but I don't have insurance and they don't have payment plans so they are looking for referrals to cheaper care. All good. I actually make a few texts and I am able to come up with a way to pay, so when the tech walks back I tell her. Now understand this, I have a severe anxiety disorder and I am in pain. I am in the back where I won't be wearing a mask when they work on me, including when she is doing her part. I am discussing my options, she interrupts me in mid sentence to tell me to put a mask on. I'm not in the lobby where I wore the mask, I am back in the room where I'll be taking it off, breathing up into the room, where all of my germs will be getting spread, not to mention I am obviously without symptoms. It's me and her and I am making sure I am not even speaking in her direction. But my anxiety and my pain are less important than a disease that so ferociously is killing less than one percent of everyone who contracts it... ok, maybe I am in the wrong, it's possible, but I say fine, I'll just pay. Obviously there are things more important than helping a client who is in obvious distress. So she follows me up jawing the whole way and when I am having a conversation with the girl at the front desk she interrupts and says something along the lines of I just asked him to put his mask on "but he wasn't having it." No ma'am, what I am not having is your disregard for the client. You interrupted me, mid sentence. In healthy times, this is rude, then you tried to agitate me at the counter. This is all on top of not having payment plans and bating and switching people to care credit they claim is to be interest free rather than interest deferred. I just moved to the area and I was referred here by a family member who takes their family. I was really satisfied with the overall service from the staff. Very friendly! I like how it is basically a one stop shop for dental services such as preventive and specialized treatment. My daughter was able to get her teeth clean and braces consultation in the same day which saved me time! Definitely recommend to others! read more

Excellent service on Saturday! I was in a lot of pain. They took me in without appointment. They performed a rott canal. They took away the pain. The staff were very atentive and nice. The doctor was very atentive and explained everything in detail. The place was clean and they took necessary action against covid 19. A+ I recomend this facility for sure! read more

I wanted to really like this office. At first super nice, told me I had to get two fillings. I got them done then They me I needed come back and get more done on the top. I was very confused and felt uneasy about this. I requested my x rays several times they told me that their system was down. My husband went into the office to get them to send my x rays else where. That dentist told me he didn't see anything wrong on the x rays. So from there I went to get a third opinion and that dentist also told me I didn't have any cavities at all. I am very disappointed to be out of pocket $800 for no reason at all. read more

I called 2 weeks ago and had requested my medical records that included X-rays from Margarita. 1 week passed and I did not receive anything I made my wife call and spoke to Isabel she only sent 2 X-rays a day later with no vital records, plan of care ETC when we advised her to send complete medical records to both parties. I called again yesterday Margarita answered and I advised her for the records, she quickly snapped and was rude over the phone stating she was not going to send them over? Bc I was being rude to her staff? I don't recall any rudeness? ....Regardless of anything by law they are my records and that is against the law I have requested complete records 2 weeks ago, I have asked my wife to call, no records were sent over. She also stated my insurance didn't not cover the rest of the X-rays? I believe she did not know what she was talking about bc i spoke with my insurance and all the X-rays were covered. Front staff needs to get trained again and know the knowledge of the rights of the patients. read more

The great comments convinced me to make an appointment with this dental office but my procedures were not so great. They performed a deep cleaning the next 2 days I called and informed them the situation, my cheek was swollen and painfull they stated I might of bit my self? I told them I dint eat anything, she stated back it's not necessarily to eat you were very numb and you probably didn't feel it. I work in the medical field and this is not the appropriate answer for your patients It ended up I had an infection so all her predictions were incorrect, my cheek was so swollen i was scared the infection could of traveled to my throat. No one bothered to call me for my status, that's when I felt I was not in a place were they care, this place made me feel like they only cared about money because I felt pressured with all the treatment plans they were offering me and had me sign paper after paper when I was not even ready to pay or even agree for the treatment.
