This was my first time at Castle Dental, I booked the earliest appointment available at 7am. The front desk and dental assistant were nice and prompt. Once my X-rays were completed. I was placed in the room to wait for the Dentist. I believe her name is Ana took about 25 minutes+ to come to the room. The dental assistant kept coming to check on me due to such a long wait, mind you I had a 7am appt. I had to ask the front desk how much longer due to me having to go to work. Dentist comes in, spends 5 minutes then denies my cleaning, which my insurance covers. This will be my first and last time at Castle Dental unfortunately, I was not please with the Dentist and her lack of punctuality. I didn't leave that appt till 8:30 and all I did was x-rays and the dentist looked at my teeth for 5 minutes. read more

This is just another crooked dental office using the usual shady tactics. You pay in full for a procedure, have a $0 balance, and then a year later, a random bill shows up with no explanation. They also bill insurance for work they never complete. Every time I've had a cleaning, the polishing person is mysteriously absent, and they promise to call me--but never do. To me, that's fraud. EDIT: Don't expect any help from the person responding here--it's just a formality, probably a bot. I also called, and they refused to do anything except offer a payment plan, which I won't accept due to their negligence and lack of follow-up. On top of that, they blatantly violate Texas' timely billing law (11 months), but clearly, they don't care. Keep looking--this dentist isn't worth your time. read more

Just want to tell people about my experience today at this clinic. 02/14/2023 i made appointment with them got there on time. Waiting time was about 30 minutes. Once i was in they took the scan and the doctors name was ms Hind aljashaami. They knew already i was having bad pain . So the doctor might have all of her degrees n stuffs but from my opinion i dont think she even know what needs to do. Worst experience of my life. She was referring me to doctors for every teeth i asked her abt. She referred me to oral surgeon, saying that no doctor will do treatment if teeth is infected and she cant do nothing. Well i think you need more training in this field to become better dentist. Same day i went to a different dentist. Got my tooth pulled out and now im pain free. I wish i never went there at first place . Wasted my $15 too . read more

My experience here last week was so rushed and stale that I went to the Shepherd location for a second opinion and hoped for friendlier, more thorough staff. When I walked in the receptionist let me know they had been trying to reach me all day to see if I could come in earlier. I guess everyone was SO ready to go home early and I was inconveniencing them. I never received their calls because they entered my phone number wrong in the system. When I went back to get X-rays, the dental assistant was very nice but when I looked at my X-rays on the screen I noticed my date of birth was wrong! The dentist, Ada Ofokansi, was not friendly at all. She checked my gums with reckless abandon, not caring that I continuously said "oww". I know it needs to be done but at least acknowledge the pain or tell me you're almost done. She is also not licensed to prescribe anti-anxiety meds, which are commonly used before dental procedures. She was absolutely in a rush to leave, so much so that she was grabbing her purse and heading out the door before I could even get up and follow the dental assistant to the front. I moved to the Shepherd location and I feel much better about Castle now. read more

Funny how they will not schedule me for (free) cleaning until August (we are in June) unless I schedule a teeth repair and pay out of pocket and only this way I get an appointment this month... I saw the dentist for two minutes and she hurt my mouth she was in a rush. Worst experience at a dentist. read more

I went for a check-up, and they wouldn't do a cleaning. They said I had to come back and pay $250 for a "Deep cleaning". They also said I had 4 cavities and needed a crown. I went to a different dentist, he cleaned my teeth at no extra charge, told me I had one cavity, and didn't need a crown unless it was causing me pain. Don't trust them! read more

I would first say that this place is a joke. The customer service is horrible. The representative I spoke to by the name of Justin is very rude. I had an appointment scheduled to come in that allowed me to take the time off work, and that was after Thanksgiving. The appointment was canceled Due to the doctor not showing up I advise them that I had to check my work availability once again and was not able to accommodate the time off from work to come in. Then Justin called and stated that they were not able to reschedule and they were going to charge me the full amount for the visit. When I had the opportunity to come in the damn appointment was canceled due to the doctor not coming in after thanksgiving . If I could give this place a -0 I would. Castle dental outdated and unorganized and a freaking joke. I will never visit another Castle Dental establishment. I will be taking my business elsewhere! read more

I hate this place. Justin is always getting my last name wrong. He calls me by other 2 last names that are NOT my last name. Also they take forever! My son waited a full hour in the waiting area and the front office assistant thought he was already getting treated by the dentist. They bill me a year later for things that I was not aware of and not only that but they stamp the "final notice" on there as if I already knew about it. I can't wait until my kids are done with their braces. We are definitely going elsewhere. read more

But, too many x-rays, only a minute or two with the dentist, list of follow-up procedures adding up to $10K, pressure to sign up for these procedures, only wanted to perform expensive deep cleaning, and questionable hygienic procedures. Do NOT go to Castle Dentist. They write up an exorbitant treatment plan, including gum treatment that they claim you need or your teeth will fall out. My plan would cost $2110, of which they claimed my cost would be $530. I paid the $530, but said not to do any other procedures unless my insurance would cover it. Five months after my treatment, the home office called saying I owed an additional $465 because my insurance denied the procedure. The office manager claimed they had called to check on coverage, but my insurance representative said they never got a call and that the $1000 coverage had been used earlier in the year, which they would have told a caller from Castle Dental. read more

This is my first time using a dentist restricted by dental insurance, so I was a bit wary. I was a little turned off on my first visit when I got there and the light they hang over the patients was all cracked and yellowed, although I've never been back to that room and the others seem nice enough. All the different rooms are actually "cubicles" and it's just a bit worn and dated, but it seemed clean. So not the quietest and swankiest dental experience, but it is okay. I had several cavities that I had been putting off for a couple years, so I had the comparison of a few other dentist opinion as to what needed to be fixed. They did identify all the correct cavities, plus one. They don't volunteer a lot of information, so it's important that you go in and be prepared to ask a lot of questions. They told me I needed a crown, but I walked out of the place not having an idea of what all that entails, so I ended up going back and talking to the doctor and she was much more helpful once I started asking questions. Everyone who works here is very nice and they seem to care about the patients. The doctors are okay, the equipment isn't the newest or nicest. I'll probably go ahead and do all my work this year, but next year I'm doing an off-network plan, just because I'm spoiled and would prefer to go back to my dentist. FYI this is a branch of the Castle Dental Franchise, well at least I assume so, they have signs everywhere with the Castle Dental label. read more

Since my son is in college, it is inconvenient to come back multiple times for an exam and then a cleaning. We have been going to this location for many years and not experienced this frustration. I won't lie and say that this office has no wait, because they are a busy office that has a lot of patients. They are good at what they do and it is worth the wait. They are kind and gracious and always are willing to explain things out when there it confusion. I would recommend this office to any of my friends or family. read more

Poor customer service. Appt time was scheduled for 4 pm and when I called to confirm appt they said I needed to come in at 3:30. Was there for 2 hours and was overcharged for services. They told me services were not covered, had to pay out of pocket. This office is horrible. Not only do they lack professionalism, have no form of communication, they are also thieves. July 9th I went to the office to have a consultation on receiving the final part of my implant. I was advised by Kristen the amount of the implant. I placed 1200 down and told her if I can pay the remainder that upcoming Friday. She said sure but I'll not order the parts to my implant until then. That Monday I called and told her since I put more than half down on the implant if there is anyway she can order sooner, she accepted. I payed the remainder amount which was over 700 dollars that Thursday and I asked her if the parts were ordered. This lady was such a hotmess she had no idea. She stated she will call me back and I never received a call. I called back and was placed on a 30 min hold and so I hung up and called again and she couldn't tell me anything. Later We finally spoke and she confirmed parts were ordered and she will let me know when arrived. I called a week later to follow up and again placed on hold for over 15 minutes and so I called back and was told she will call me back. I called the following day and she didn't have an update for me. Following day I was told by one of the receptionist parts should be in the next day. I received a call last Thursday asking if I can come in ASAP because the parts came in. I went was there for over an hr and apparently they didn't have the tool for my implant and they will call me once they figure it out. I called Monday, placed on another long hold and then was told I was going to get a call back. That didn't happen. I called Kristen back and finally got a hold of her and I ask about update on what's going and was told the doctor took my parts home to see if she had the missing tool. I expressed my concerns in regards to the doctor taking my parts home and Kristen laughed at me and told me "well she is a dentist" I was livid and immediately request for a refund. I have called multiple times and the man in the front office keeps hanging up on me and doesn't answer the phone. I emailed Kristen multiple times no response. I requested to talk yo the branch manager and he didn't want to give me that info. Today I call for status on my refund and that man tells me if I keep calling he will call the cops on my for harassment. At this point I feel like I have been robbed and I cant believe this office is able yo operate this way. I gave them over 1900 dollars and they don't want to give it back. They are thieves and Kristen is a hot mess that clearly can not handle the work load. That man in the front office is a disgrace and a complete races and extremely disrespectful. 5 hours ago Worst service ever, very disorganized, and overbooks even with COVID. They cancelled my teeth cleaning last August because their dental hygienist quit but told me they would call me back when they get a replacement. I never got got callback so I checked with them in September, then again in November. They told me in November they were booked up until January (didn't bother to call me to let me know they could schedule me now with a new hygienist). I took the first available in January which was yesterday. I arrived and the manager told me they would fit me in for the cleaning and they didn't need to take x-rays or see me because I was at the brink of before a year (11 months since dentist seen me). Waited for 50 mins until the dental hygienist called me in and she was about to get started until she said I needed a deep cleaning because it has been so long. Well duh, they should have seen they cancelled me in August. Then she asked the manager to have the actual dentist see me first. I waited in the chair for 15 mins and the manager comes to tell me I had to come back another day because they were overbooked and didn't schedule me for a full appointment. They refused to do my scheduled cleaning because the dentist couldn't see me and it was their fault. I took a half day off work for this appt. They don't open Saturdays like some other dentist offices and they don't schedule their dental hygienist past 2pm per their scheduler. Poor management, will never go back. read more

I wish I had thought to check Yelp reviews before choosing this dentist office. At first I thought the front desk staff was pretty friendly. The person who went over my teenage son's xrays and plan with me was to the point. I always make sure to schedule these things in advance, check my work schedule, my son's school and activities schedule, etc. So, when I received a reminder call in regards to my son's regular cleaning and x-rays, I was ready. However, during this reminder call I was told that we needed to arrive 30 minutes early. I am aware we need to arrive a few minutes before our appointment time. But, half an hour? If I had know I needed to be there a half an hour early, I would have scheduled it that way. The guy on the phone argued with me and told me it was procedure. We had been going there for at least a year. There was no new paperwork to fill out. He was so rude. He said that we needed to arrive a half an hour early or we would have to wait. I repeated that if I had known we needed to be there 30 minutes early, then I would have scheduled it that way, made arrangements with work, etc. I said that my appointment was for a certain time, and that was what time we would be there. He told me that was fine, I could arrive at that time, and then I could wait. I told him to cancel it all. We will find a new dentist. We did. My son's new dentist at Silver Ranch Dental is fantastic! The staff is sooooo friendly. Bye bye, Castle Dental. Try working on your people skills. read more

They are down to earth and very personable - which is great but....The found a significant health concern that should have been found years prior - when no one else did! The first appointment I had the dentist didn't even show up. The front office had to call the dentist to let her know I was waiting for her. It's always a half an hour plus wait. They send you confirmation reminders only to have you wait forever. On another appointment I was molded for night guards, charged and told they were in. I went to pick them up and they said they didn't have them. On this last call in, I had a wife hanging from my mouth from my retainer. The lady said you can wait until Friday or buy a plane ticket to have the old ortho who originally put it in fix it. After I kindly cursed her out, they scheduled to see me. Headed there now. The dentist made sure I understood what I needed and they were able to start my treatment on my first visit. They even had a good payment plan which was very helpful. Yes, 5 stars. After 55 years of going to dentists, I finally found a keeper. Every person on the staff has been exceptional in their accommodation of both my and my wife's concerns and needs. They have bent over backwards for us with regards to patience, scheduling and ensuring that we are 100% satisfied with the final product. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Rapolu. She has a very good "bedside" manner, listens patiently to all of our concerns and questions, and I am very impressed with her knowledge and expertise. read more

DONT GO DONT GO, A bone graft that cost $167 for a pulled tooth. This is why we decided to travel to Thailand for any more dental work. In Thailand its costed us $39. They pulled my tooth which the insurance paid however didn't pay for the required bone graft to help the tooth heal. Makes no sense. Too bad for the dentist and my insurance. I have refused to pay for something that is required when removing a tooth. I should have gone to the VA dentist and have it all done for $109. Insurance and dentist are a rip off and should be ashamed. read more

Awesome & helpful front staff (they give me a reminder call pre-appointment ) and extremely qualified and knowledgeable dental professionals. I have nothing but great things to say about each of my visits. The last dentist I had...made ya smile katy was/is a complete disaster and price changer who made me avoid anything dental until I rotted a tooth and was in unbelievable pain...sure enough I needed a root canal/crown. I was a bit skeptical at first but forget that, they fixed my tooth to perfection with zero troubles (I have heard of crowns done badly) and the quoted price never changed (screw you, made ya smile losers). During my root canal all I heard from the dentist was specific and exact info on what she was doing/going on ( an assistant was with her and learning/helping with my root canal/crown ) it set my mind at ease and sure enough not a single problem or hiccup. I went back for a cleaning and was told specifically what I need to be doing and how to do it right to maintain my teeth. Everything I booked was early appointments to get in and out quick but for what they did for my teeth I still wouldn't bitch if I had to wait, they are absolutely worth it. I'm set on letting them do what they have to do to keep my teeth working, they gave me the all clear and didn't try to push any services that I didn't need. I am glad I gave them a shot because I would rather get run over than have to find a reliable and knowledgeable dentist again after the made ya smile incompetents. read more

Dr. Meridia (sp?) is great. I've only been there 2 times (once for me and the other time for my daughters). I was very impressed w/ her. She is young, but helpful, patient and knowledgeable. She even did my cleaning! I asked her why and she said she was helping out. I know w/ the DHMO, it is hard to find a decent dentist, but she is a gem. I felt like she is trustworthy and explains things well. Javier is at the front desk and he has great customer service skills. Very helpful and a smile on his face. I would say, be sure you know your benefits w/ your DHMO. They asked for a copay when I am 100% covered. However, Javier called to check and then apologized and didn't charge me (he didn't argue w/ me, which was very professional--he just called my insurance company). I don't think he was being dishonest; I just think the dental offices possibly don't update the fee schedules?? I don't know because this has happened at other DHMO offices also.
