Had a tooth extraction here and it was simply THE. WORST. PAIN. EVER. To start with my tooth was infected which sometimes means that the numbing medicine will not work as expected. After receiving more than a few injections of novacaine the dentist decided to proceed. Luckily she was quick. Unluckily for me all those injections tore up my mouth and caused a bit of recovery pain. The worst pain came later that day when I felt like my entire jaw was on fire. Don't even think of calling this place and asking for pain meds. A snarky receptionist told me, "Advil is a pain med." Over the next few days I tried advil, tylenol, ice packs, nothing worked. Because the pain was so bad I was forced to take three days off work that I couldn't afford. This is not the only time I've had a tooth pulled and I know a little pain is unavoidable but this was horrific. I won't be back and I have already warned my friends and family to stay away from here. read more

Recently I went to see Dr. Aghajanian for a long overdue dental visit. I would have never thought in a million years my dentist would be a childhood friend, especially since we went in different directions after high school. About two years ago, we reconnected when my family and I moved to Houston. At the time, Dr.Aghajanian didn't have her own private practice, but I knew of her short term goals of wanting to own her practice. So I waited... When I tell you, it was worth the wait, I wouldn't be doing justice...it was more than I expected. I never doubted her ability to perform at a high level nor that she wasn't a skilled dentist. Through many conversations, I knew she was passionate about what she does and how much she values her patients. I wanted to be treated at her private practice with her as my dentist for several reasons...1) she is obsessed with a clean and sterile environment, as I am 2) I'm a working mom of 3 and needed an appointment that could accommodate my kids and I in a block of time 3) I wanted reasonable costs for my dental work and/or reasonable means to pay for services outside of my plan 4) I fear the dentist and needed to know that I would be taken care of by caring staff with gentle hands 5) my family is my priority and needed a family dentistry with values and ethics I believe in. Dr. Aghajanian's practice has brand new, state of the art and modern equipment. She is equipped to treat all dental needs for all ages. The ambience and decor relaxes you and takes your mind off of a drill in your mouth. The area for kids allows the kids to forget that they are about to open wide! Above all else, you should consider/visit Dr. Aghajanian for the respectful, caring and customer facing staff she has working with her. From the moment you walk through the doors, you feel welcomed.
