Completely disappointed in this rental, if I had known the massive headache and stress this caused, would have been better off driving myself. What can I say...they gave excellent service from start to finish! I would definitely recommend them for not only their competitive pricing but more importantly their service and quality. They arrived on time and coordinated with me to go from Huntington Beach to Temecula and back with flexibility and optimistic attitudes which can be a challenge but makes all the difference. We were looking for a party bus to take us to San Diego for a brewery tour. Castro Limo was the most affordable price! For a little over a week I was chatting with Kelvin the owner about reserving it but was waiting on people to confirm they could go. He constantly kept checking in with me and was quick to respond. We ended up booking only a few days before the trip with no issues. Raymond was our driver and since we took a rather a longer trip, Raymond stopped at a rest stop on the way there and the way back without anyone asking, which worked out cause everyone got off to use the restroom lol. The reason I selected your company is due to the positive reviews on Yelp, the professionalism of your staff during booking process, and the pricing you offer. I appreciate the acknowledgement for the missing balloons, which was actually your company's idea. The driver did arrive in a timely manner. His sitting in the vehicle was not my complaint. The lack of courtesy, a smile, or even a simple pleasant "Hello" when I initially approached him is what dissatisfied me. Further, when we were ready to leave shortly after 2PM (the contracted start time), he did not come out of the vehicle, even after the guests were lined up for a few minutes and patiently waiting to be let in. We couldn't figure out if the door opened automatically, and we just stood there. My husband finally walked to the front of the bus, towards the driver's area, and that is when he came out. It would have been nice to have your driver stand by the door, and greet the guests as they boarded. It would have been nice for him to be at the door, as we exited the bus at our destination, and to tell us to have a good time. Neither of these things happened. Several of the kids also mentioned how he became impatient with the young lady who was trying to pair up her phone to the music system, when she was not able to do it right away. I already addressed the tipping matter. I worked in the restaurant industry throughout college. I am an extremely generous tipper. I have absolutely no issues with tipping 20% AND MORE when the quality of service exceeds my expectations. In this specific instance, my expectations were not met and would not have given a 20% tip. While tipping is customary, it should never be mandatory. With regard to providing me with some sort of compensation for a portion of the tip, the reality is that our party has passed. Receiving several dollars back will not change the fact that the driver makes or breaks the experience. In our instance, we were disappointed. Thank you for addressing the incident with your driver. I did mention in my original review, that his attitude changed when he picked us up. Perhaps, he was having an "off" day and unfortunately, our party was dampened by it. Would not recommend this company. After booking the company text me the day of the event to confirm the pick up and drop off location. I asked via text if we can drive around for a little while before going to our destination to get out moneys worth($500+tip). The company did not text back. When the driver arrived I asked since were going from long beach to to Santa Monica (at 11pm) can we drive around for a little while to get our money worth the driver said "No we do not allow cruising unless you pay for it." What was my $500 paying for then. The driver was speeding there and back we got there in 30 minutes. Without traffic Santa Monica is at least 45 minutes away from long beach. You could hear the driver hitting the bumps on the freeway the whole time. We were told we would receive a bottle of vodka with the party bus rental. This was not the case when the driver arrived we loaded our items on the bus and there wasn't a bottle. We asked the driver he said, "he wasn't told there was supposed to be a bottle." Last but not least to top things off, At the end of the night while in the process of cleaning the bus and getting our belongings off the driver was rude. Before I could sit everything down he said "the owner said your supposed to tip me." He did not give me time to sit my items down in order to tip him. This was not professional at all. That night I text the company to tell them about our bad experience trying to give them a chance to make things right. Well the next morning I get a call from the driver asking me for clarification of how he was rude. I booked Castro Limo Services 3 months prior to my husbands birthday. i've research several companies and although it wasn't the cheapest, they were able to match the price of another company and i paid in full prior to my event which also included tip. I decided to go with Castro because of the owners quick responses on Yelp. A few minutes before pickup someone called me and informed me that our original 20 seater bus had a mechanical issue so they sent a smaller 14 seater sprinter van. I was a bit disappointed that i didn't receive any accommodations for receiving a much smaller vehicle. I was also told there would be 20+ water bottles but there was well less than 10 under all the ice. Nelly the driver arrived on time and was fantastic so 4 stars for her. I suppose i'll await a response from the owner before booking my wedding transportation in a few months. I would give this company zero stars if I could. This dishonest company still owes me a check that they "supposedly" issued "through the bank". HA.. First off, this company needs to hire professional workers who are more clear in their emails and texts. I've wasted too much time trying to decipher the texts that were received. Not only did our driver arrive late on New Year's Eve, our vehicle for the night did not have working speakers. We went back and forth with Yazmin and she finally agreed to refund us $150. However, we were only given $100 because of the "miscommunication" between the driver and workers. Their argument was that the party bus was in perfect condition aside from the speakers. We should have been refunded more because the driver was not punctual. If we wanted transportation without music, we could have easily called an Uber. Yazmin and I have been texting back and forth for the past month. It looks like I won't be seeing the remainder of my refund, which is fine. It's the matter of principles which this company lacks.
