I've been using LA Party Bus for the past 3 years and they've been nothing short of amazing. Each year, they arrive on time and are more than accommodating when it comes to our route. The bus is always clean and supplied with mixers..er..beverages. The driver is always extremely professional and nice. The first two years I used the Tiki Lounge bus which had a fun Hawaiian theme. This year, at the advice of the owner, I upgraded to a larger Sky Lounge bus. The dance floor lit up, they had TV screens and a great audio system. Everyone LOVED the bus. In fact, they loved it so much that many chose to stay on the bus rather than go into the bar. Each year my annual bar crawl gets better and better and that's completely thanks to LA Party Bus. DO. NOT. RENT. FROM. THIS. COMPANY. We reserved a bus to come pick up 30 of us for a friend's birthday. They never showed. When it was 10 minutes after our scheduled pickup time we began calling... INSTEAD OF ANSWERING OUR CALLS LIKE A NORMAL PROFESSIONAL RUNNING BUSINESS WOULD- they sent our calls to Voicemail (voice mailbox was full...sign # 2 of their standard of professionalism)... and texted us saying their office was closed. When we finally got some communication via text we were told WE CANCELLED. Hahaha. Yeah we definitely cancelled our party bus with 33 people sitting in my living room. No proof of cancellation. No further communication. They should've taken responsibility for their mistake but they won't. I will be reporting them to the BBB and fighting them to get every cent back. Guys have I mentioned how UNPROFESSIONAL they are? Save your sanity and go with any of the other hundreds of RELIABLE, HONEST party bus companies in LA. Had the Gold Deluxe Bus for my friend and my birthday. Arrived on time. Didn't like that the instructions weren't clear, paid for 6 hours but we had to be off the bus for a total of 2 hours..just didn't seem fair that we paid $180 per hour for the driver to get a $360 2 hour break. The bus driver was nice but drove horribly, people falling on top of eachother the entire time, bottles and drinks falling on the floor from his terrible turns, and appeared to be in a rush even though we paid for the 6 hours. Air conditioner didn't work in the front half of the bus so it felt like a steam room, one of the disco ball lights weren't working in the back half. Overall good sound system. At the end of the night, a few of us were unloading everything off the bus, when we went back outside to get more the bus driver had left leaving some of my friends without there possessions. Will not go through LA Party Bus again, not work the $1350! You could find much better! read more

I strongly urge anyone reading this to find a different company to use if they plan on getting their money's worth. I booked my bus a week prior to using it and was helped by Steven. He seemed like a good guy and assured me I was making the right decision renting a party bus from them. 1) Bus looked fine from the outside, until we discovered the toilet didn't work, which we upgraded in bus size to get. (they claim that it did work but the bus driver didn't know how to turn it on properly, then Steven claimed that a cup was found inside the toilet which clogged it, alluding to thinking we were the cause of the issue. Which was the problem, Steven, the bus driver not knowing how to turn the toilet on or a cup clogging it?) 2) Next, the air conditioner wasn't even working. It was a blast being in a warm sweaty bus with 20 friends. 3) The radio cord for music to play was broken so we had to drive back to the house to get a cord. 4) Finally, we had to pull an emergency detour to their garage because our bus was about to break down on the highway.(which took us out of our path at least an hour when you consider the additional 30 minutes we waited outside until they were able to get us a different bus). They got us a bus eventually to drive us to our drop off. What a waste of a good bus, at this point everyone was pissed off and annoyed with the bus they paid for. Now, if there are a couple issues, no big deal, sh*t happens. But it was issue after issue with this bus. Even our bus driver (shout out to Todd, only bright side of this experience) was upset with the conditions of the bus he was given. After all this Steven tried telling me that they can't offer any form of refund and went on to explain he rented the bus to me on discount (he didn't tell me that when he pitched it to me) so we got a good deal to begin with and as I explained to him the issues with the bus he laughed at me on the phone. Real professional Steven. When the manager finally spoke to me (took two weeks from the day I sent in my complaint) he told me that they provided a good bus for a cheap deal and that I booked the bus at the last minute (I booked a week before) so it negated the fact that the bus that was given nearly broke down, didn't have a working toilet and had no AC. He was argumentative and defensive saying that he didn't care if I told my story to Yelp because he has people all the time that spend $1000s on their services and love it. I told him "great but I was a customer and I didn't and I'm giving you an opportunity to rectify this issue." He instead gave me an ultimatum of accepting a $80 refund (I paid $900) and 1 free hour credit for the next time I use their service (hahah funniest thing I heard all day) or nothing. What a tool. He continually cut me off when I was talking to explain to him exactly what happened that night to give him insight. Again, He instead repeatedly tried cutting me off and was defensive and frankly rude. He challenged me and my friends to Yelp this story so he could answer each one of them and prove his company did no wrong and that his offer was more than reasonable. Challenge accept, bud. For anyone reading this thinking, "this guy is just pissed off and trying to vent. Blah blah." Guess what, you're right. But I'll have you know that despite how pissed and dissatisfied I am with how this company handled this issue I didn't take it out on the driver. I tipped him as well as I would have if everything would have went well. I'm rational, it's not his fault this company gave him a sh*tty product. I strongly advice anyone willing to spend a dollar (especially $900+) on a party bus to check around. There are plenty of these companies in LA. They may try to tell you that it's the best deal for your money, but believe me I called around to just 3 places and the prices were all within $20 an hour(so much for their argument that they rented this size bus to me for a HUGE discount) If even after this review you choose to use them, you better hope everything they promised and you paid for actually works (like the bus itself. This company is awful. It is my birthday and we booked this 2 weeks ago for 35 of us and when we called to ask where the bus was they said "we canceled". Long story short, a different party canceled and they made the mistake and canceled our party instead. When we called thy said "you have reached us after hours". Where is your customer service? Not only are they not helping us with the issue that they caused, they're still tying to say we are the ones that canceled our party without any proof! AND still trying to charge us! Professional service, arrived on time, made various stops, and before reserving; the company was really helpful with all my questions. What I loved about this company is that everything is thoroughly explained in their website and the buses that are pictured are the actual buses they use. The bus itself was clean, had a bathroom (with no extra cleaning charge), a dance pole, good air conditioning, and a bar with soda, water, and ice. The only thing that was hard was getting a drink because the bar area was across from the bathroom making the space really small in that area... but then again it's a bus. This company is not what they seem. The driver was extremely rude, cut the trip short to accomodate him going home early. Extremely unprofessional when we tried to discuss the matter. Huge misunderstanding about minors and alcohol on the bus. We as parents, tried to be so careful with the people who were on the bus and talked to the driver. Bad communication all the way around. What ever happened to the meaning of "the customer is always right"? The person we spoke with to try to resolve the matter, cussed at us and only presented their side of the story and did not care about ours. The bus was old, ripped seats covered with black tape, the windows were painted with black chipped paint, broken & glued on tile, loose dance pole, the outside of the bus was pretty dented up. All the way around a terrible experience for our daughters 18th birthday party. We cannot whole heartedly recommend this company. Be careful. read more
