Subaru of McDonough is such a place and their Service Manager, Mark, is such a person. Mark jumped in as a new manager and cleaned up a potentially sticky situation with some repair work on my car. On the dealer report, it indicated that aftermarket products were put into the vehicle. The dealership was going to charge the same amount that I had already paid A-1. I ended up taking my truck back to A-1, and they denied it until I shared the report with them. They ended up having to repair the vehicle again. Yes, they fixed it, and put the correct parts on it, but no, I will not be returning. I guess they're honest, depending on who they're dealing with.

The first sign of trouble was that Visionary Conceptions was not communicative and rescheduled multiple times. However, the real problem was that when he finally did show up, he installed the alternator incorrectly. After installation, the alternator was seated so that it was touching the water pump drive pulley. This caused my car to overheat, my timing belt to break, and cost me $1,000 more to fix my car. After getting a new mechanic to look at it, I explained to Visionary Conceptions what had happened and he refused to admit he had done anything wrong and refused to give me a refund. However, the new mechanic was able to prove that the alternator was installed wrong by showing there are notches on the pulley where it was getting snagged on the alternator. Edit: the response below is a bold face lie; as nothing about my tensioner was ever mentioned or communicated to me.
