Cute little cat cafe located inside the Queen Ka'ahumanu center in Kahului. We decided to stop buy the Maui Cat Cafe as one of our little adventures before we left Maui and so glad we did! My toddler was a little homesick and was missing our cats so I took her here and she loved it. There were kittens and cats and the best part was that everything was pink so she loved it even more. All the little feline friends were friendly and it was also very clean inside. Will definitely come back! PS, don't forget to wear socks or you can purchase cute cat socks at the front desk as well :)

My boyfriend and I are so grateful to Cat Cafe Maui for making the adoption process so special and easy. Hazel came home with us happy, healthy and well groomed. The environment was beautiful, and plenty of space for the cats to coexist comfortably. The staff were so kind and made our experience so pleasant and memorable. Mahalo again for our SWEET and HEALTHY fur baby! 10/10!

Amazing totally worth the visit and was so fun! Especially if you miss your cats at home and are on vacation definitely stop by and book a visit all the cats were so friendly and fun. It also did not smell like cats in there which was nice. Definitely will be back on my next visit to Maui!

We've been here twice and have always enjoyed our experience. The staff are welcoming, informative, and try to get the cats to engage with visitors. Highly recommend!

I don't remember how I started following Cat Cafe Maui from Oregon, but I'm so glad I did! About 9 months after our hearts were shattered when we lost our two 16 year old babies within 6 weeks of each other, we casually started looking again to fill our home with love. We had a trip planned to Maui and we saw two kittens available for adoption on CCM's site. We brought a carrier with us "just in case"! Fast forward through the story, and Koa and Kala were coming home with us! Moriah was incredible - she made time after hours for us to see the kitties, and since we had a stopover on Oahu, she even arranged for us to drop them off at a cat cafe in Oahu(Toebeans and Dreams) and have a foster keep them until we flew home! Everything came together like magic! Fast forward to now, a year later, and Moriah went above and beyond again when she put us in touch with the original owner of Koa and Kala who were looking to rehome their mom and brother and asked if we would take them. How could we say no to 'ohana?! Within weeks we flew to Maui to pick up now momma Maui and brother Kai. Problem was, when the owner was taking them to the vet, Kai escaped from his carrier and ran out of the clinic and was missing for a day and a half as we were getting on the plane! Moriah rallied the troops and within hours traps were set and posters were hung and volunteers were out looking! She did this out of no obligation but out of the kindness of her heart. Incredibly, Kai was found as soon as we landed and we were able to bring both home to meet the rest of their 'ohana! Moriah and her team even arranged to keep the two at the Cafe until it was time to board the plane. I cannot say enough good things about Moriah and her crew at CCM. She is one amazing human who makes everyone and every cat her number one priority!

Visiting Cat Cafe Maui was the purrfect experience for our family! Visiting from Las Vegas, Cat Cafe Maui was recommended by a close friend as a must do for any cat lover visiting the island. My daughter was ecstatic to visit and play with all the adorable cats. The cafe was adorable, well kept, and had plenty of activities for cats and visitors to partake in. Our family fell so much in love with one particular cat...we adopted him! Cat Cafe Maui helped us every step of the way in the adoption and airline process. They even met us at the airport with all necessary supplies. Kono has been a wonderful addition to our family and we are so happy we made the time to visit! We had so much fun, we even forgot to have a cup of coffee at the cafe!

We love the Cat Cafe! Not only have we visited several times just to hang out with the kitties and drink some complementary coffee, but we have also adopted two amazing furbabies who are now a part of our family! The Cat Cafe gets all of their cats from the Maui Humane Society. They are so well taken care of and the exposure to humans makes them more sociable and therefore adoptable. We have four cats, and the two from the Cat Cafe are much more outgoing! Don't miss visiting the Cat Cafe if you're on cacation, or if you live on Maui. If you don't live here, they'll even help you adopt a kitty and have it sent to your home for free!

We have made a tradition of getting our "kitty fix" here when we are on vacation. It's such a wonderful idea, the place is relaxing, inviting and very clean. Fun to follow them on Instagram before and after our trip. We always sponsor a couple of adoptions to help these adorable fur babies get their forever home!

If I could give Cat Cafe a million stars I would. I adopted Cheez-It who is now Koa Keahi last July after losing my first boy Moose and Koa has been amazing! He is the perfect addition to our family & is the most adventurous cat going on hikes around Washington State &, keeping my Chesapeake bay retriever/chocolate lab mix Maddie company. I can't imagine not having Koa in my life. I talk to the cat cafe weekly & if I have questions the staff is there for my husband & I. The cafe is clean, fun & it's obvious that the staff takes care great care of their cats who come in looking for their new owners. I can't wait to go back to Maui to help bring cats back to the mainland. Hands down that this is the best cat cafe!

This cat cafe is beautifully decorated and has so many fun toys and climbing areas to interact with the kitties. This place is spotless, and the staff is super sweet. I bought a cute pair of cat socks and a sticker as souvenir. I highly recommend a visit. It is well worth the entry fee to support a great cause! Maybe you'll go home with a new bestie friend!

It is a very relaxing place for human and cat. So much space for the cats.

I am highly recommend this Maui cat cafe. So much for human and cat. Very relaxing. Very friendly workers

I met an amazing kitty while on vacation. I wasn't sure but when I got home I contacted cat cafe Maui. They arranged for my kitty to come to me. It was their first time shipping a cat cargo and it went perfectly! And when pawpaw arrived he was so happy. His flight didn't affect him thanks to the amazing preparation cat cafe did for his flight!!!

I am a Lahaina Fire survivor and this was going to be my first cat adoption experience ever and this was going to be my first cat after losing my previous cats to the fire. I was nervous, but excited for this new experience. The staff was very nice and I was able to find the right cat for me. My friend who came to support me ended up getting a cat too! If I were to ever get my cat a sibling, I will definitely go back to the cat cafe!

We drove by and noticed this place and gave the number a ring via Google, and we were able to get an appointment on short notice. The owner came out with a little money, as he was even generous enough to pay for my parking. We tried the dole whip and the other treats that they offered and all of them were delicious. You can tell that the owners are really passionate about cats and kittens, and they really care about customer service. There is a lot of thought and energy that has been put into this place. The cats were all friendly but remember they are still cats so they have claws. If anything, some just wanted to play and were a little more assertive about it :) I was so delighted with the experience that I made a voluntary donation for $100. Covid has destroyed a lot of small businesses and I would hate to see this one go even though I am from California. Thank you Kitty Cafe! Hope I visit again soon.

We go to the two in town once every few months, and enjoy the wide range of cats and kitten alike. Rebekah L. introduced us to this new kitty cafe early late last month, however with our schedules and the busy-ness of this lounge, we were only able to schedule a visit this past weekend. So we loaded up, and drove to meet Rebekah in not-so-small Kailua Town. We lucked out on street parking and met up with our friend to walk into the most kitschy kitty place of our dreams. Literally. The waiting area was decorated with cat posters and comfy chairs to wait for check in. The most impressive part was the huge cat tiki that commanded attention as soon as walking in. One of the cat owners, Heather, advised that the statue was commissioned and the work was so beautifully done it had me wondering if I wanted a cat tiki in my apartment.. After check in, we were directed to the snacks for purchase before entering the 'cat room'. We opted for both treats, and it would be brought into the cat room after it was made. The dole whip was delicious and such a generous portion too. We also tried the acai bowl for 'research purposes' and I was shocked to learn in was vegan. The acai bowl sweetness wasn't overpowering as it sometimes can be, and the granola had a nice crunch to it. So far this kitten lounge has my favorite snacks- definitely blew the previous bean water and tea out of the water. The nicest touch (in my opinion) was that the owner also directed us where the bathroom was before starting our cat adventure. It was a very nice touch as many places do not offer bathrooms, especially cat lounges. We sanitized our hands and walked into the cat area. There was a main cat area, currently decorated in the tiki/Old Hawaii style with tiny grass huts and aloha shirt cats framing the walls. One thing I was surprised and delighted to discover was that there was multiple cat rooms! To the left of the main room, there was two smaller rooms, decorated 'cat' themed as well, with Chinese Cat Paw wallpaper and cat trees and toys all over. There was 'human' seating room all over the place, and the different rooms allowed much more space and time with cats than it would have been with just one big room. There was enough hiding space for the kittens to chill out for a nap. However they were relentless in their playing and just general 'kitten-ness' that there wasn't much napping when we were there. We currently have a soon to be three year old cat, and have been on the hunt for a possible candidate for our shy guy. One thing I didn't notice beforehand (in my excitement for cats) was that the lounge was only meant for kittens, and not cats of all ages. It didn't take away from my experience at all, but I was pleasantly surprised. My fiancé ended up falling for a cute tiny kitten named Kona, however it wasn't meant to be and we didn't end up adopting her. After our hour was up, we said a heartful goodbye to the kittens and the Owners, and left feeling much more relaxed than when we came in. We will be adding Aloha Kitty Cafe into our roster of cat lounges to visit and cannot wait for our next kitty play date!

An afternoon walking on the beach,…read moresnoozing in the sand, enjoying the quiet and the sun, and having a bite of Mexican food and a pup cup before returning to the noisy and overcrowded shelter. Our doggo for the day was JT, a smaller black pitbull mix, who turned out to be a real gentleman. JT was happy to join us in our adventure, jumping into the SUV like a pro with a stuffy in his mouth and a wag in his tail, which matched our vibe exactly :) He was such a good boi at the restaurant, ignored the chickens begging from us and took a quick nap under a chair, waiting for a shrimp or a morsel of chicken to be offered from the gods. JT jumped for joy when he exited the car and smelled the sea air, life is good! We had a leisurely stroll along the sands, then he plonked himself down in the shade of a tree to destroy a tennis ball, then sploot out and have a nice snooze with a sandy nose and a smile on his furry face. We gave him a good hour, as it must have been a nice break from the noise of the shelter, with the trade winds gently cooling him and the murmur of the waves in the background. Once he woke up he was ready for the next part of the journey.....a pup cup from Starbucks :) In and out of the SUV like the pro he is, he waited patiently at the outdoor table with our friend while I sourced the pup cup. He wasn't sure for a second what it was then after his first lick he became a connoisseur of pup cups with a creamy smile and a glint in his eye. After a lot of lip licking and grooming we realised it was time to return him to the shelter. Once there he gave us a downward dog bow of thanks and he was off to his hopefully temporary home at MHS. What an adventure for all of us, and so enjoyable! If you have time to take a MHS dog out for the afternoon (12 noon pickup, 4pm dropoff), please, go on an adventure and give them a pup cup and some beach freedom, go jogging with them, take them on a drive and let them sniff the smells of Maui, give them a mini vacation. MHS provide a backpack with everything your doggo will need, blankie, stuffie, chew toy, treats, water and bowl, a safety belt addition for your car. All you have to do is provide a vehicle, time and fun! JT was a lovely boi, very well behaved, and he was a good example of a MHS dog. Unfortunately black dogs are the last dogs in the shelters to be adopted, I know I adopted one myself (I have 2 rescue bois at home), so hopefully there is someone out there waiting to meet JT and see what a fantastic doggo he is....could it be you? Why not spend some time with a MHS doggo and find out?
