I love going to MOFF! The only location I haven't been to yet is in International Marketplace. If you want to kill time or take friends on a cute date/outing this is a good spot. The staff is very nice and the cats see well taken care of. They have no touch zones (safe spots) for the cats they can retreat to. And if they are not feeling the vibe I have seen workers take cats to the back to chill in peace. Highly recommend if you are looking to kill some time and pet some fluffy cute cats. What a great experience this was at the Cat Cafe at Pearlridge Center. You can either pay $23 per person for 30 min. or $28 per person for 1 hour. We opted for the 1 hour option. You can buy treats separately which we didn't and the experience comes with one soft drink (soda or water.). There are toys you can use to play with the cats and you get pet the them as well. Many of the cats are kittens maybe 2-3 years old. I don't think they are up for adoption maybe at a later time I know some cat cafes offer adoption. My favorite cat was a scottish fold cat due its unique look of its folded ears. It reminded me almost of beagle type cat lol. Some of the cats were resting but most of them wanted to play. We took my sister here as a summer outing. This location of Cat Cafe is in Uptown Pearlridge near TJ Maxx. There is ample parking in the mall lot and the cafe itself is easy to find. It is a little pricey - $28/person for 60 min (10% Kama'aina discount) with treats to purchase with a free drink ticket with admission. We spent about $90 (3 people, 5/$12 treats for the kitties). Inside you get a locker to put your belongings into and you hold onto your key and drink tickets during your time. The cats are very tame and well-cared for. There is no litter box smell or poop around the cafe. Playing with them is fun and also there are toys to attract the cats to you. They do like to sleep a lot so all of them weren't awake at the same time when we went. Dina was really helpful and encouraged us to play and showed us how to get the cats to interact with us more. Although it is a little pricey, the service is great, the cats are healthy and behaved, the inside is nice and clean. We would definitely come back to play with these cats again. read more

Don't even bother coming here. None of the cats wanted to interact, and the staff member kept repeating every few seconds that each cat was shy, tired, didn't play, or needed space basically not social at all. So what's the point? She also mentioned that cats don't usually like kids, which makes it even more confusing why they'd charge us to come in with our child. It just didn't make sense. Waste of $50 read more

Cat Cafe Moff My daughter really wanted to visit. I even believe I follow on Instagram. I have never researched nor have I much knowledge about the concept and I am posting solely on the experience. (I will look more into the "behind the scenes!!") We visited the Pearlridge location which was really clean and friendly. The information and setup was easy. You receive a locker for your belongings which is very convenient. 30 minutes or 1 hour options. A free bottled beverage is included (options were soda, water, aloe, ramune, etc). You may purchase wet or dry food to feed the cats, 1ea or 5 for $12...hence cat cafe I guess. You receive a spoon which is cute and the dry food comes in little eggs, maybe about 8 pellets. They provide a buzzer You carry so you know when your time is up. On our visit, they said only about half of the cats were available as some had procedures and asked if that would be ok. I said sure, and asked if then the experience would be discounted, and she said no. She said there is Kamaaina, which we qualify for so we were given $2.30 each off the $23.00 for the 30 minute visit. After 2 tickets and 5 snacks for 12, it was just under $60 for 30 minutes to hang out with 6 cats. While we were in, the cats were so cute. They were ready to eat. You may not hold any or put them on your lap, but a couple did want to climb on my daughter. Pretty cute. I was able to get one of the cats to the wheel to run and it was neat to see it go as fast as it had. Time was up. There is a place to wash your hands. No indoor restrooms but the mall has plenty, and they recommend you go before or after. read more

My daughter LOOOOOOVES cats but sadly our place doesn't except cats. Heard of this place from a friend but knew about only the one in Waikiki. We were in the area but got there when they just ran out of snacks for the cats. The lady working in the front was so nice & recommended us to wait till the pearlridge location opens. The cat in Waikiki I believe she said they were almost 1 years old & not too playful but pearlridge will have much younger ones that are playful. We went to the pearlridge location the Friday they first opened & I crossed my fingers that the cats weren't full since we did go right after the kids finish school at 2:45. We were the first one there before everyone started showing up. You also will get a locker to put your things in so the cats don't get to it. My daughter LOVED IT! all the cats were running around & they have pictures & names of each cat. They also had toy sticks that you can interact with them. The cutest lil cat cafe in Pearlridge center!!! My mom and I came here for some quality mother daughter bonding since we loveeeee kitties! We have 4 rescues at home, but we loved getting to see the rare breeds of fancy cats that this cafe had to offer. All of the cats were so cute and social, especially since we were told by workers they are kittens! You can tell they are also well loved by staff and well taken care of (all of them are so soft and well groomed!). There was a bit of a wait time, but the staff were so helpful and kind. Unfortunately, they do not do adoptions BUT they do focus their efforts on breed education (in my humble opinion, this is also SO IMPORTANT because it helps prevent people from buying cats that look like what they see on insta, then just dumping them because they're personality is "not what was expected"). The workers also shared that they were working towards more outreach with local shelters. Overall, wonderful little escape from a busy workweek and the hustle and bustle of every day life! My mom and I went to this place a few months ago and we loved it! We kind of went near the time when they first opened. When you first walk in you need to pay for each person, however if you have Kama'aina ID you get a discount. You then need to step into a separate room to put your things in a cute locker. Then step into the actual place. Before you touch any cats you will need to wash your hands. They also give you a capsule with cat food inside. You also get to get a drink when you pay for it first and get a ticket. It was really nice to have baskets of toys for the cats to play with. Overall it was pretty much fun going there. read more

My 3 yr old niece apparently likes coming in here so I was asked to go with her since I have no allergies. Was not expecting all these cats to be so active and it scared the hell out of my niece and she wanted me to carry her the entire time. Bruh... We got the treat package and the one cat she wanted came out to eat, but so did 7 others. They did climb up on my leg to reach the treat and some used their paws to hold my hand in place as they ate and that scared my niece so she has stopped wanting to pet or feed them. Workers were nice and offered to put some in the back so only the nicer ones or left out. Then they used treats to tey and distract the horde but 3 of them still remained staring for treats. My husband and I took the family to try out Cat Cafe MOFF. I wouldn't recommend it. Here's why: First, we're a family of six. Their family discount applies to families of 5 or more, but the 15% off discount only applies to one ticket. Second, We decided to buy a frappé for $5 to feed the cats. In the picture at the register, the frappé looks like a decent size. However, the actual frappé is smaller than a shot glass and it was filled less than half way. Third, we purchased 30 minute tickets. However, our time started from the moment I paid at the register. We weren't given any time prior to put our bags in the locker and wash our hands before entering. For a family with one child that may not be an issue. But, for my husband and I, with 4 children it took a few minutes. Lastly, there were way too many rules. I understand the rules are there for the safety of the cats and the customers. However, we feel there were some rules that were unnecessary. For example, we were not allowed to leave if one of our children needed to use the bathroom. We were told we would not be allowed back in. My 3 year old ended up having an accident as we were leaving. He wasn't able to hold his pee that long. But, weren't about to leave 10 minutes after entering after spending over $100 to not be allowed back in. And, yes, we took him to the restroom prior to entering. That's kids for you. The kids did enjoyed petting the cats, watching them ear (during meal time), and learing their names and breeds. But, overall, I wouldn't recommend it, especially for big families. Such a cute & clean cat cafe! The crew takes such good care of the kitties and are very interactive with visitors. So happy they allowed toddlers because we'd been to a few and got turned away unless the kids were 10 & above but they allowed a 1 & 3 year old to join. You can buy treats to feed the kitties and there are a bunch of different toys to get them to interact with you or your babies. THEY HATE CHILDREN... ESPECIALLY TODDLERS. If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. Let me start off by saying that we have been loyal customers to this cat cafe since it opened. The cats are cute, but the staff are less than friendly and lacking in people skills. We went because my daughter loves cats and we just chocked the personality deficit up to the staff being "quirky cat people". After today, we will NEVER be customers here again. It was my daughter's birthday today. She just turned 3 and she wanted nothing more than to visit the cat cafe for her birthday. So after school, dressed in her best cat outfit, complete with cat crocs and her cat birthday crown, we went to the cat cafe. The first thing that was a bit off-putting was the supervisor at the front desk who greeted us with a straight face and said, "it's kaukau time so you can't go in right now but you can look through the window." I kneeled down and propped my toddler on my lap so that she could look through the window. As she was watching the cats eat, the supervisor noticed that her tiny fingers were ever so slightly tapping on the window and promptly reprimanded my 3 year old to "stop tapping on the window!" Red flag. We finally got into the cat cafe and everything was going well, my daughter was having a blast petting and feeding the cats. She was so excited, in fact, that she forgot to stop to tell me that she had to use the bathroom and had a little accident. The worker looked utterly shocked and disgusted and ran straight to the back room. I assumed that she was going to grab a mop or something to help me wipe up the mess, but no. She comes out a few second later, hands empty, and basically says "uh yeah you have to clean this up and leave." I honestly didn't know how to respond other than to ask her for something to clean the mess up with, to which she proceeds to hand me three (THREE!!!) paper towels. After the mess was finally cleaned up, I carried my toddler, who didn't even realize that she had done anything wrong, out to the front of the store. The supervisor and another worker were there just glaring at us as though we had committed the deadliest of sins. They didn't say a word. I finally spoke. In my calmest tone, trying not to alert my daughter whose birthday it was to the fact that I was fuming, I told them that I thought that the situation was poorly managed and unprofessional. It felt as though we were made out to be the worst people ever. They quite literally tossed a few paper towels at us, told us to clean up our crap, and beat it. The supervisor then proceeded to tell me that they enacted this "rule" because another child had defacated in the store and the parent did not clean up... They also said that this "rule" was in place to protect the cats. First of all, how dare they even compare the two incidences - poo and pee are not the same category. Second of all, WTF happens when the cats pee and poop in the cafe??? And last, but most important of all, how about showing a little empathy and compassion to a mom and her toddler on her freaking birthday!?! Goodbye. read more

They give a million rules when you come in and add a million more while you're there with the cats. It's exhausting. And keep in mind we were just sitting down, no one was running after cats trying to pick them up, I could understand if we had toddlers or kids, but we are all grown. It was weird af. They sleep in cages every night and get "breaks" in the middle of the day which just means they get put in said cages. This company does nothing to help the cats on the island & takes away business from local cat cafes with missions and intentions to HELP the cats. This place is very over priced for the experience you get. Almost all the cats don't want to play and if you try the staff tells you to leave them alone. I don't understand the point of spending so much money and not getting the opportunity to play with them because all the staff hover you. You don't even get a chance they just assume you're being disrespectful or bothering the cats. Definitely try the Honolulu location that isn't apart of this company. Kids three and under are free and I think it was 28$ for an hour (+-5 dollars I can't remember) but they offer a local and military discount of 10%. Your paid admission includes a drink too. All the staff members were friendly, patient, and informative about the cats. You can tell they care about their safety and well being. The place is clean and cats are well groomed. I thought the room was a little warm but I figured it's kept on the warmer end for the cats. When feeding the cats treats they can get a little aggressive but they swatted the spoon for the treats without using their claws which my youngest definitely appreciated. Came here yesterday on Mother's Day and it was a very cute experience. I loved meeting all the kitties, some were more playful/friendly than others but I think the others probably felt tired. I arrived in time for Kakau time which is feeding time, and the workers introduced all the cats by name, breed, and went into details about their personalities and information about their breeds. We finally got to check this place out. It is cuteness overload! So many long haired kitties that were all so sweet, gentle, and beautiful. I wanted to take them all home with me. The price is great compared to other cat cafes since it included a drink and a 10% kamaaina discount. It's such a relaxing lounge and kept impeccably clean. You can tell that the staff really care about the cats and enjoy working here. Minus one star because there was a cat named Hiwa (I have a friend with that same name!) and the staff were pronouncing it He-wuh. I didn't think anything of it and thought it was a Japanese name, however, after we left I read on their website that all the cats were given Hawaiian names to make them more relatable to the local community. I do not recommend buying the merchandise here unless it is for yourself and you absolutely want it. They do not let you return or exchange an item even if all the tags are attached and it is in sellable condition, with the original receipt. My friend took me here for my birthday after lunch and it must have been lunch time for the cats as well, seeing as how they ignored everyone inside and sat by the back door for almost our entire hour there. When the employee came out she gave some facts about each cat and their breed which was sorta interesting, but the cats only had their eye on the food. It's not anyone's fault, but maybe don't have customers pay to interrupt the cat's feeding time. I even paid extra for cat treats and they refused to come near me because of the back room preparing their lunch. The cats weren't super playful either.
